We recently had the pleasure of working with DJ Mike who made our special day even more memorable. He was professional, friendly, and kept everyone on the dance floor all night long. He was also very accommodating and took the time to understand our preferences and make sure that everything was perfect. DJ Mike was awesome as our wedding DJ. He does a great job of reading the room and playing songs that will get people dancing. We had a great conversation with him the week before the wedding; we were on the phone for a good hour.

Mike was such a good time and made the party, many guests still reach out and continue to rave about how awesome he was! He was truly so personable and a fun personality to have DJ your wedding day. Mike went above and beyond expectations and played the best music based on what my husband and I like. 100% would hire again!

DJ Mike was one of the BEST decisions we made for our wedding! The music selection was perfect and he knows how to keep the dance floor going. He was organized and did a great job with scheduling throughout the evening. We had some last minute changes and he was flexible and made sure everything was seamless. We had numerous guests complimenting him and asking where/how I found him! If we had to do it all again I would choose him 1000X over.

Mr. Mike is professional all the way around! He plays what you request and adds his picks to keep the party moving. And the lights were a nice touch on the dance floor! I would recommend DJ Mike whole-heartedly!

I'm not very good at this, but I had to write a review for DJ Mike! I won't make this long because all that I can say is DJ Mike was better than advertised! He was absolutely AWESOME! Mike made the entire process so easy, and working with him was stress free! My husband and I don't dance much (because we're so bad at it lol), but DJ Mike had us up on the dancefloor all night. Our guest are still complimenting us on how incredible he was! Our parents were so impressed on how he was able to keep the older and younger guest involved. If by some chance DJ Mike is available for your date (we got lucky because we booked him early and we were flexible on the date) BOOK HIM!!!

I loved working with DJ Mike and he wasn’t kidding when the dance floor would be packed! He kept the party going and there was never a lull in the reception. He reached out to me beforehand and made sure that our first dance sign, parent songs, entrance songs (which I gave to him the day of), the timing of the reception timeline, and the pronunciation of bridal party names were all correct. I’m really glad that we booked DJ Mike and greatly appreciate his talents at our wedding!

Mike was recently the DJ at our wedding. He did a fabulous job of incorporating our requests but also reading the room to keep the party going. He was friendly, easy to talk to & helpful during the planning process. I would recommend if you’re looking for your wedding to be a good time!

DJ Mike was the best possible DJ we could've hoped to have for our day! He was extremely easy to communicate with, and made everything run smoothly during the reception (even with a 20 person bridal party). Because of his professionalism, we were able to sit back, relax, and enjoy our reception, We danced the night away with all of our loved ones- I never left the dance floor because he created such a fun atmosphere. DJ Mike was the DJ for our wedding about 3 weeks ago and he was fantastic! We went on our honeymoon and when we returned Sunday our guest were still raving about DJ Mike. We had DJ Mike as our DJ last month, and as we knew that he would be, he was fantastic! We had a small wedding and DJ Mike provided services for the ceremony and the reception and everything was flawless! DJ Mike has done several of our friends and family members weddings and he's always been amazing. We had 58 guest and didn't expect a lot of dancing since over half of our guest were older. Well that theory went out the window lol. DJ Mike had everyone dancing all night long. My grandparents couldn't stop raving about him! He is so easy to work with, and he makes the entire process stress free. He allowed us to make payments monthly throughout the year, paying off the small remaining balance the week of our reception. I would advise anyone looking for the ultimate wedding DJ to hire DJ Mike if he's available for your date! DJ Mike is FIRE!!!

DJ Mike was such an amazing addition to our wedding and really helped to make it special and fun from start to finish. Prior to our big day he communicated clearly and helped us stay organized and prepared for the day. He provided our ceremony music and AV equipment for our officiant and everything went off without a hitch! During our reception I had provided likes and dislikes and Mike filled in the gaps perfectly to keep everyone on our dance floor all night long…even when the father of the Bride requested an impromptu, embarrassing, karaoke moment! I HIGHLY recommend using Mike for your event or wedding - you won’t be disappointed!!

DJ Mike is amazing! He was so kind, extremely responsive, helpful with any question I had, and provided the greatest experience for my wedding music. DJ Mike was our DJ 2 weeks ago and he was fabulous! Every part of the process, from booking him to our wedding day was absolutely perfect and stress free! He managed to play all of our song request along with keeping everyone on the dancefloor! He was basically our coordinator because he kept everything moving, even when we started to get distracted. We let him pick the songs for our ceremony and he nailed it! My cousin booked DJ Mike the day after our reception. Our parents and grandparents were dancing like they were in their twenties lol. We got so many compliments about DJ Mike and how professional he is! He wore a great looking Tuxedo and he was super kind to everyone (including the 6 kids that were there). If you're getting married you'd better hire DJ Mike if you can! Awesome DJ!!!

Mike would be the first person we would recommend to anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding. After having our initial DJ back out due to an emergency, Mike stepped in under short notice and made sure our big day was special and enjoyable. Dj Mike is an extremely nice and friendly guy. He's very relaxed and easy going. He sent us a form to fill out with all the information: song choices, people's names and pronunciations, special dances, special requests etc. Unfortunately we had some small issues during our wedding. There was a miscommunication when I asked for music I had chosen to be played during the ceremony, it was played before the ceremony and it was silent DURING the ceremony which isn't what I wanted but it's ok. Volume during the reception was EXTREMELY LOUD. We asked several times for it to be turned down and it kept creeping back up. After dinner a lot of people left the building to escape the volume. I don't feel like the dances started soon enough after dinner and the anniversary dance wasn't included in the special dances. It was done much later, after a large amount of the people left. We also got married on speak like a pirate day and I had requested on the form (and on the phone meeting we had to go over the form) that he just announce that and play 2 pirate songs. This wasn't done at all. He also asked us late into the reception after 75% of the people had left if we still wanted to do our cash dance. We said no because most of the people were already gone so we didn't get to have that moment either. I had requested more pop punk music be played like I had requested on the form but we only had a few songs played. Nothing was a huge deal on its own and it didn'truin the wedding but I can't truly say I was really happy. Again, he's very nice and laid back though.

We absolutely loved DJ Mike. We got married on a Sunday so we didn't expect people to stick around to party, but Mike got people on their feet and we all danced for HOURS! He knew all the right songs to play to keep people on the dance floor and it was an absolute blast! We had a few hiccups with some of our other vendors not being on the same page, but DJ Mike was able to roll with the punches and keep everything going smoothly. We got so many compliments about him! We've been making the joke that we are definitely having him DJ our next wedding.

DJ Mike was hands down the best DJ at any event I have been to. Before my wedding, I hadn’t really had good experiences with DJs, but it was instantly clear that Mike was fun to talk with, professional, and easy to work with. Leading up to the reception, he was so accommodating to the different traditions my wife and I wanted to bring from both our backgrounds. He really read the crowd perfectly that evening and got maximum participation on the dance floor for the whole night as well as made sure that people felt comfortable enough to have conversation off to the side. Everyone from our friends in college to our grandparents had nothing but the best to say about Mike, his enthusiasm, and his skill set. I’m very impressed and would reach out to him first if I need another DJ for any event.

Dj Mike was AMAZING! He was by far our favorite vendor at our wedding! Leading up to the wedding he was always very organized, responsive, and kind. He always listened to what we wanted and even answered questions that we weren't sure about regarding wedding timeline things. I had DJ Mike for my first wedding a few years back and he was fantastic! Unfortunately my marriage didn't work out. I have since been blessed with meeting an amazing guy! We were married during these crazy Covid times and of course we went with DJ Mike! I thought for sure that he couldn't be any better than he was the first time, but I was wrong! DJ Mike had everyone dancing all night long and I think that all 63 of my guest complimented on how amazing he was! I would highly recommend DJ Mike to anyone! We hired DJ Mike for our reception 3 weeks ago and he was truly amazing! We had to reschedule our wedding from June until September and he was so accommodating! We weren't expecting much as far as dancing because of Covid-19 and we had to limit our number of guest to 60. Well I have to say that we were so wrong! DJ Mike had everyone dancing all night long! Our family was very pleased with DJ Mike. He was very professional, very polite and very easy to work with. His costs were very reasonable and he was able to read the crowd well with what kind of music to play. DJ Mike was amazing! He got everyone dancing. He was so flexible with our timeline, which of course didn't go exactly to plan. And our bridal party was so pleased with how he properly pronounced their names!

I'll try to keep this short. First of all DJ Mike isn't just the best DJ ever he's also a great person! My wife and I planned our wedding 2 years ago and booked DJ Mike but we had to change our date twice because I am active military and I was deployed oversees. When I returned we rescheduled and was able to book DJ Mike again. Well we were married November of last year and DJ Mike was simply amazing! The dance floor was crowded all night long and we're still getting rave reviews from our guest about him, and 2 of our friends have booked him for their upcoming weddings. Here's what we never expected; when I was deployed I lost my right leg from my knee down so I still use a wheelchair quite a bit. So fast forward to after our honeymoon when we got home and opened our card box and in it we saw the check that we gave DJ Mike for his services and attached to it was a small note that said "Thanks for your service and sacrifice". We didn't ask for a discount or anything like that and this was a total surprise to us! We called Mike to thank him and he was so modest and again thanked us! This was the most amazing gesture that I've ever experienced! We weren't going to write this review because DJ Mike said he wouldn't be comfortable with it but we've told this story to all of our friends and family members and they said that people need to know this about him. We had DJ Mike for our wedding reception two weeks ago and all I can say is "He's The Best Ever"! We had so much fun and our guest danced all night long! DJ Mike was the DJ for our wedding 2 weeks ago and he was awesome! I can say this because I don’t think that my wife will ever see this review; but she was bridezilla lol. She was very demanding with the venue staff, the photographer and everyone else including our bridal party and Mike never flinched and was always polite, professional and accommodating when others became very frustrated. From the minute that he started playing dance music until the very last song the dance floor was packed! Mike is truly the Best in the business!!! Thank you so much DJ Mike!

We were worried because we our an interracial couple and we knew that our guest would be a very mixed group. We talked to several DJ's and surprisingly a number of them weren't interested in working with the diverse group that we would have. So one day my co-worker told me about DJ Mike because she had seen him at a wedding a few months ago and that wedding happened to be a interracial wedding as well and she said DJ Mike was incredible. Well I have to tell you that we were fortunate enough to hire Mike and he was unbelievable! He was super personable! He kept the party going but he wasn't talking to much and being obnoxious like a lot of other DJ's that we've seen. We love DJ Mike and so will you!

DJ Mike was EXCELLENT! He was booked for our original date so we moved our date 3 weeks to a date in which DJ Mike was available and it was our best move ever! He was so easy to work with and such a true professional! Our guest danced all night and we received rave reviews from our guest old and young. If you want DJ Mike for your reception you'd better book him early ( I learned the hard way lol) and take my word for it you won't be disappointed!

We had DJ Mike at our wedding last month and I couldn't wait to see if the reviews were correct since we had never seen him in action nor had we ever met him. Let me tell you that DJ Mike exceeded all of our expectations and our guest still haven't stopped talking about him! He was a pleasure to work with up to and during our reception! I’ll start by saying DJ Mike is the only DJ that you should consider for your wedding reception if you want it to be an absolute success! DJ Mike was so easy to work with and from the moment I first heard that incredible voice on the phone I knew that he was our guy. My parents are members at Wildwood Country club where DJ Mike does all of the club events and my parents love him and said that all of the members get so excited when they know that he’s going to be there so of course we wanted to see for ourselves. We joined our parents at the next event and we saw it first hand; DJ Mike is like a Rock star there lol. We also took the opportunity to meet Mike as we had already booked him and you wouldn’t believe how humble and personable he is! Well as you have probably already figured out DJ Mike made our wedding an unbelievable event! Things were starting to fall behind and he immediately took control and made sure everything worked out! The music was amazing and our guests have been raving about him ever since our wedding day! DJ Mike is also the most professional entertainer that I’ve ever met! As in one of the other reviews said my best friend who was my maid of honor (who is absolutely gorgeous) was also hitting on Mike all night and he was so polite and even told her that he never mixes business and pleasure. I told my now husband Tony that if I would have met DJ Mike first I would have probably been the wife of a DJ today lol. DJ Mike ROCKS!!!

I usually don’t right reviews about anything or anybody but I felt that this is a story that had to be told! We had DJ Mike at our wedding reception on June 22nd 2018 that was held at the Heinz Field. I have to start by saying my brother had DJ Mike for his wedding 2 years ago, my cousin had DJ Mike for his wedding last year and several of our friends have had him in the past and every time we see him he’s absolutely awesome! Well the interesting part of this story is that I have a twin sister who got married last year and she had the opportunity to get Mike but her then fiancé wanted to have his friend do it because he offered to do it for free as a wedding gift. My parents desperately wanted her to get DJ Mike and they discussed it but they ultimately decided to go with the friend. Let me tell you; it was an absolute disaster! The sound system wasn’t very good and the music felt like we were in a club on the Southside. Several of the events that should have taken place during the evening were missed and the older guests were very unhappy with the music, some of it actually had explicit lyrics. Their friend talked all night and then he actually got drunk with some of the guest. My sister and mom cried all night long and that of course had me crying as well. My sister and her husband had a massive argument on their wedding night over this error in judgment. Fast forward to my wedding reception! All I can say is that DJ Mike was incredible! He is so easy to work with and really understands the ins and outs of creating the perfect wedding reception. Leading up to our reception he was always accessible and he’s such a great guy to just chat with! I read some of his other reviews on this site and I must say that he’s even better than advertised! When we were in the process of booking Mike he told us that even if we didn’t book him that we should make sure that we book someone that specializes in weddings (and after seeing what happened to my sister I see his point), and he said if we didn’t go with him that he would still be available for us to contact if we needed any advise with the planning stage…who does that these days. Last but not least his price was great and it allowed us to have enough money in our budget to get the photo booth that we really wanted. If you’re getting married and you have the opportunity to get DJ Mike you’d better do it! :) Lauren

DJ Mike DJ'ed our wedding in Deer Creek Maryland April 21st 2018 and he was both reasonably priced, and great! He had done several weddings at our venue previously and, as a result, Mike was incredibly efficient and well-versed with the setup of the space. He transitioned all music well for both the ceremony and reception, and was somehow able to make my grandparents, parents and my teenage son dance. We had no expectations of people doing a lot of dancing because we only had 90 guests and most were over 40...but DJ Mike turned it into the most incredible party ever! We both love 80’s and 90's music and his knowledge of the genre was really helpful for us as he was able to play truly dance-able music, rather than just current hits. Most important to us was that he was not obnoxious or overly talkative throughout the night. When we first spoke with Mike he told us that our reception was all about us and not him so he doesn’t try to be the center of attention like other DJ's…and after seeing him in action we realized that he was very sincere about that as he made sure we were the center of attention! And to illustrate his attention to detail: we had a song that was especially meaningful to my (the bride's) family that we requested he play during cocktail hour. He took special note of this song and after speaking with us during the cocktail hour he thought that it would be best if he played it during a time where it was a bit quieter right before dinner so that everyone could hear it. This was so special for my family and even my dad commented what a great job he did finding the right time for that song (and I think that is why my dad gave him a pretty large tip lol). We are so glad we used DJ Mike for our wedding, and we would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for the greatest wedding DJ ever!

We had DJ Mike for our wedding cocktail hour and reception at Nemacolin Woodland 3/3/18. He did a wonderful job and I would highly recommend him to other brides. His packages were priced very well, and he has great equipment and was set up well in advance of when we needed him to start. He has a commanding voice that people pay attention to (helpful when you need people to sit down for dinner, etc.). He was friendly and easy to work with, and did a great job incorporating everything that we wanted into the reception (all our specific song requests, the timeline of the evening, etc.). Something unique about DJ Mike is that his speakers don't blast out your ears even when you're standing right in front of them, and they are designed in a way that the music is plenty loud when you're on the dance floor, but doesn't overpower the whole room (off of the dance floor you can still have a conversation in a normal voice). Not sure how his equipment does this, but it was a great perk. He did a great job noting what people were dancing to/not dancing to, and playing more of the types of music that people got up and danced to. He moved the evening along very well. We had rave reviews from our guest about his professionalism, performance, and everything else. DJ Mike, thank you so much and we will definitely be recommending you to all of our friends getting married in the future and encourage everyone reading this review to check you out!

DJ Mike was absolutely awesome for my wedding on 12/31/17 (New Years Eve)! I had no experience with selecting a DJ so I just took the advice of several of our friends who had either hired DJ Mike for their weddings or seen him at other weddings, and I am so glad I did! He deserves every 5 star rating he gets! First, DJ Mike was extremely responsive as soon as I reached out to him about possibly doing our wedding. He was professional, kind, and knowledgeable, and he supplied a ton of recommendations for songs throughout different points of the wedding. He has an online questionnaire which makes selecting songs extremely easy, and we did all of our correspondence through email which also made the process super smooth. When it came time to the actual wedding, DJ Mike killed it! Each song for the ceremony was cued up perfectly, and he did great at keeping the dance floor going all night. I was nervous that a lot of people wouldn't dance at our wedding, but DJ Mike’s song selections had everyone out on the floor all night long! Additionally, Mike was much more reasonably priced than other quotes I received. I have no reservations about recommending DJ Mike to anyone I know!

DJ Mike Simmons is hands down the BEST DJ EVER!!!! We hired him to DJ for our wedding on 11/25/2017 at Treesdale Country Club. From the start, he was flexible and very easy to work with. He was very quick to respond with any questions we had. Mike was also very knowledgeable in wedding planning!! Everything went so smoothly, from the announcements to the music. He has a great voice for announcements and highlighted all of our special moments. Never felt so alive hearing someone announce our names! haha!! He played everything we wanted for our ceremony and reception without any hiccups. When it came down to party he kept everyone dancing! His music selection was on point! He got everyone from ages 3-90 to participate all night long. Some of our guests even thought he was cute! We definitely recommend him to anyone who wants a professional, knowledgeable, easy to work with, down to earth, fun, entertaining, and AWESOME DJ!!! BEST DJ EVER! We will absolutely hire him again for our future events!
