We always ask for feedback, which is something our small business can learn from. However, when the feedback changes or is inaccurate it is difficult to make improvements on our end. For other brides, whether your review is good or bad, please at least be honest in your review as it impacts more people than you may see. In our case we have a team of seamstresses that are well trained and work hard to make your gowns perfect. Not being completely honest can potentially hurt or cause the loss of a job for somebody you have never met. Just keep it honest. First of all, Courtney, you met with a minimum of three different people during your four appointments. One of them is Gino, and another is Sarah, both of which met with you after your first appointment. You are the first person to ever say that they “yelled at you”. This is something we would NEVER do as a company in general, and I cannot fathom either of these individuals doing that to you. In fact, of all our fitters, these two individuals are our easiest to work with as they gush over brides at every chance they get. Second, in terms of sizing the dress, after looking at everything I feel that we went above and beyond. At your initial consultation your dress seemed to fit perfect just one month before your wedding as we did not even have it in our contract with you to re-size any portion of it. At your first fitting (second trip) you felt that the dress was starting to loosen up as you had lost weight so we re-sized it for you. At your second fitting (third total trip) you still felt that your dress was too loose. You had lost two inches along the way in your bust area alone, yet we did not charge you to redo the work that we had done correctly. It is difficult to hit a moving target in terms of body size, and two inches lost in a few weeks is considerable. We never would have been able to account for that type of size loss leading up to your wedding after you picked the dress up only 11 days before the wedding, and neither would any other seamstress in town. Finally, the bustle and hem were done correctly. In fact, we reworked both for you as you weight loss also affected your hips, thus causing the dress to drop down. In both cases we did not charge you. If you lost more weight leading up to your wedding in the final eleven days in is possible that your dress dropped down even more. We went over them with you and have a picture of you standing in your dress, with it bustled, and standing next to the bustle instructions that we give every bride. If there was a problem we would have guessed you would say something. This is why we go over every item on the contract to ensure that you are satisfied with the work completed. So, in conclusion it is disheartening to know that so much of this review was inaccurate. All eleven employees here at The Wedding Seamstress strive to do the best work in Denver, and across the country. It is good to know that another professional went out of their way to tell you they were “thoroughly impressed” with our work.
