We chose Doolittle Hall because it was a beautiful venue with a gorgeous view of the mountains, and it was close to our wedding location. I was very pleased with the space, as well as the assistance provided by the events coordinator. She went above and beyond to make sure that our day went perfectly! I didn't have to worry about a thing! We had an amazing night, and our guests kept complementing us on how beautiful the reception venue was. We did rent a dance floor to go in the center of the venue. There is a dance floor already there, but it's sort of tucked into the corner. We used the existing dance floor for the buffet, and that worked well.
Very wonderful location. Indoors, outdoors, and bridal/grooms suites. A few hidden charges and items that weren't allowed even though not on contract. Ladies were very helpful. DON"T NEED TO BE AIR FORCE TO USE THIS VENUE (you get a good discount if you are though). It was a great location for the price though.
Great until the bar...Reviewed on 5/31/2014 Emilee K
It was a lovely experience getting everything ready for the wedding. I attest most of the lack of stress to my caterer, photographer, DJ, etc. but not to Doolittle. When going over the layout with my caterer, the lady we worked with from Doolittle had a lot of the wrong notes but that was no matter at all. The worst part was the fact that we had to use The Officers Club bar. We couldn't bring in any outside alcohol (we lived in Colorado and couldn't bring in any craft beer) and the bartenders they hired day of were TERRIBLE. They were rude to our guests, worked as slow as molasses and had terrible customer service. Thankfully I had a great bridesmaid team and didn't find any of this out until after the wedding. My only advice would be to request your bartenders! Or the type you want.

This venue was cost effective (paid $1600 I believe) and it was a beautiful space for our reception. Jean is very helpful in helping you plan the location for tables and everything else in the space.

Our wedding reception was held at Doolitte Hall in June 2013. From the beginning, Jean was extremely helpful! She was quick to respond to all of our questions or concerns. This venue has an awesome library/bar area in the back, and is big enough to accommodate a large party. There are also several great spots for pictures nearby on the grounds.

Beautiful space with amazing scenaryReviewed on 2/20/2013 Marcia O
We were married at the Academy chapel and had our wedding reception at Doolittle Hall. The drive from the chapel to Doolittle Hall was very easy for our guests to navigate. We had a cocktail hour in the library and then transitioned into the main room for dinner and dancing. We had someone decorate the room that was recommended to us by Jean. The room was very romantic and dream-like with tulle and lights dangling from the atrium and on both staircases. All of our food, wine, and floral arrangements came from outside vendors and it was easy make arrangements with Jean for drop-off times. Doolittle Hall staff decorated the table with linens, candles, and flowers with my very specific directions. Jean was very accommodating and answered all of our questions and emails. Kimmee was our point of contact the day of our wedding. They are both very friendly and helpful. Our reception was everything that we had hoped.
Review for Doolittle HallReviewed on 8/25/2007 Katherine T
The views are spectacular! The mountains are your backdrop while you look out to Colorado Springs.;The venue truely only holds 175 people downstairs comfortably. Any more than that and you cannot walk around.
