If I could give a 10 star review I would! Chandra was a dream to work with. As the MOB, felt like I was working with a dear sister who had excellent connections, organization skills and a wonderful sense of humor. Best decision we made!! All the vendors know and trust her which made planning easy and FUN!

We had the best experience working with DCEP! Chandra was our event coordinator and did everything to put me at ease and keep things organized during planning and the day of. She has resources in Door County for everything you might need, especially last minute changes or venue adjustments due to rain! I would recommend them to anyone who is getting married in the county.

I cannot say enough good things about Door County Event Planners. We had a wonderful experience planning our wedding, and it’s all thanks to Carrie. She pulled everything together flawlessly and guided us through the process with so much professionalism and kindness and generosity. She knows the Door County area better than anyone and has built really strong relationships with all of the vendors in the area. She took so much care to understand our wishes and offered her industry and area expertise at every step in order to bring our vision to life in the best possible way. She's truly the best in the business. If you're looking for a stress-free wedding planning experience and a beautiful end result, you need Carrie on your team.

We worked with Carrie and Door County Event Planners for our wedding. She was amazing. She was very flexible with us when we decided to postpone our celebration due to COVID-19. She recommended so many amazing vendors that also did a great job, and our big day went off without a hitch. We would not hesitate to recommend her for your wedding or event. She was organized, attentive, and in control, all while rolling with the changes that the pandemic brought upon us and our event. I wish we could get married again just so that we could work with her more - that is how great she is.

The best thing we ever did was hire Carrie. The wedding planning process can be a difficult one especially when you and your husband have previously worked in hospitality. From the beginning we knew we could trust Carrie and her team with whatever came up. Having someone who is kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable helping with your big day really takes so much stress out of the process. Carrie has so many amazing connections with vendors which makes finding what you are looking for that much easier. Over our 18 months of planning Carrie always took time to return calls & emails even on vacation. It is evident by her drive why she is the best at what she does and that is simply because she cares. If you are reading this review do yourself a favor and reach out to Carrie and her team it will be the 2nd best thing you do besides of course number one which is marrying your best friend.

Carrie was amazing! She pulled together an amazing wedding for us at Gordon Lodge. Every detail was accounted for. She knows everyone in Door County, so she always knows where to go for whatever is needed, including handmade masks, gift bags, flowers and more. She made it a magical weekend for us.

Chandra was a rockstar planning our wedding fb with us, she had all of the best recommendations and connections and was always there to help us with any questions along the way. She truly brought our dream wedding to life and I couldn’t recommend her more strongly!

We worked with Carrie through Horseshoe Bay Golf Club. She was our calm in the midst of COVID wedding planning. She did everything she could to help us deal with venue and other changes due to COVID. She worked hard before and on the day of the wedding so that we could relax and enjoy it. Carrie is professional, knowledgeable-and most of all for us during all the stress of a wedding planned during COVID-caring. I highly recommend Carrie.

Our planner, Chandra was a STAR. We planned our wedding from far away and Door County Event Planners were quick in their response, reasonably priced, and took care of a whole bunch of things during the day of the wedding. They had great recommendations for various local vendors with pricing and helped us remember details that we otherwise would have missed. Having Door County Event Planners present took all the pressure off, my mother said, "it's like they are the Mom! PERFECT" . Our day would not have been as enjoyable and relaxed without their help. Chandra, and everyone at DCEP, is the the absolute BEST. Planning a Door County wedding from Chicago is no easy task, and Chandra was on our side every step of the way. From getting us the best vendors at a discounted price, to keeping us on track with our deadlines, to calming us down in our frequent emails, there is no one better than Chandra. I can't tell you how many people told us this wedding was one of the most personal weddings they've ever been to- and that is thanks to Chandra helping our vision come to life.

CARRIE WAS AWESOME!! My fiancé (at the time-now my husband ;) ) suggested we look into a planner shortly after we got engaged. After some research, I contacted Door County Event Planners and set up a place to meet with Carrie. Right when we met her, I instantly loved her. She had a nice bubbly personality. After we went home, we didn't need to discuss too much. We hired her and are so happy we did! It was both of our first weddings, and Carrie helped us through the whole process. She was super helpful with everything and did some of the more 'outgoing' things that I just don't like doing. We enjoyed each meeting with her. She gave us many recommendations and some we used, some we didn't but she didn't try to sway our minds in anything. We wouldn't change anything about having her as our planner. Our wedding was wonderful-Carrie took care of anything that popped up. Definitely recommend her.

Wow! We cannot recommend Chandra from Door County Event Planners enough!! She went above and beyond to make our special day absolutely fabulous. From the wedding planning to the day of, she was amazing! She was super prompt about returning emails and made communication very easy. She took our wedding vision and did an amazing job of helping to select vendors and create our dream ceremony and reception. She made the actual wedding day stress free and run so smoothly that the bride, groom, and mother of the bride were worry free and able to enjoy themselves! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Chandra is the absolute best! Our wedding was the best day of our lives, and it was in no small part due to her! She was there for all the small details, to work out a tricky situation with a photographer, and was always quick to respond to emails and messages. The musicians and vendors Chandra suggested were beyond talented and professional. After working with Chandra, I would advise all of my friends to get a wedding planner, and if you are planning an event in Door County, rest easy and hire Carrie and Chandra!

Carrie was absolutely FANTASTIC. She deserves 10/5 stars. She made the entire process fun, and as stress-free as possible. She helped us with venue (including food), photographer, DJ, flowers, center piece ideas and basically everything in between-- I was THRILLED with every single one of her recommendations. On the day of, she was calm, organized and confident. She coordinated everything with our venue, DJ and photographer and picked up the flowers for us. She was also able to round up all 22 (insane) of our wedding party and get them to where they needed to be. I HIGHLY recommend Carrie and Door County Event Planners. She is worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY!

DCEP is amazing to work with. We worked with Carrie and she took all the stress out of our day! They take care of everything from rentals, to bar, to keeping people in line, as well as day of decor, lighting, and coordinating. I could not have done it without them and I am so thankful they were there to make our big day absolutely perfect! If you are getting married in Door County, find the extra money to use Carrie and her team. They are worth every penny!

My fiancé and I traveled 4.5 hours, late on a Weds night, to see Old Thyme Barn with Carrie last minute. She met us there the following day and immediately put pressure on us due to the fact that the barn was only able to accommodate one more event for 2017. Something we were not made aware of until driving 250 miles. We loved the venue but had a lot of questions and a budget we wanted to stick to. Carrie told us that we had to let her know THAT day so that she could tell another couple traveling from MN later that evening. We then met with Chandra who was the person we would be working with if we chose the venue. Chandra answered many questions for us and told us after meeting that we did not need to let them know until the following day and that she would be giving us “the first right of refusal.” I insisted that we would let her know later that evening since she specifically told us to go “talk it over, go for a swim, have a drink and enjoy your night.” We received a condescending email from Carrie at 6 pm after emailing back and forth with Chandra which explained that it might be be best for us to go elsewhere and that we would not have first choice anymore. She told us that she runs an ethical business and since we did not let her know by the time she discussed that the other couple would have their choice of the venue. I NEVER have written a review such as this, but they treated us so terribly that I felt it was necessary. It is apparent that the communication among the planners is extremely poor. When we explained what Chandra had told us, Carrie continued to reprimand us. No apology was offered by Carrie or Chandra who were both receiving all correspondence. The worst part about it all is that we said we wanted the venue that evening even after they were treating us with disrespect and by the next morning it was reserved. It’s unfortunate that David (the barn owner) requires you to work with this company. After making a 500 mile round trip, I cannot emphasize enough how this company’s outward appearance can be deceiving.

Carrie was absolutely amazing to work wit. Carrie turned our wedding dream and vision into our actual wedding. Carrie was quick to respond to our questions and made sure anything we wanted or hoped for on our wedding day happened. We had guests in awe and that are still complimenting us about how our wedding was the most beautiful wedding they've been to and how it looked like it was straight out of a bridal magazine. This is because of Carrie, and the amazing work she did! If you're having a Door County Wedding, Carrie is the person you need to have you dream fairytale wedding come true.

Finding a wedding planner requires a lot of trust, as you really have to be ok with them being in charge of one of the biggest days of your life. Carrie Baldwin at Door County Event Planners was recommended to us by family friends who used her and her team for both of their daughters' weddings, and we owe so much of our dream wedding to her planning and execution the day of. She is one of the best investments we ever made - not only because she knows the area and all of the vendors, and not just because she will go above and beyond to organize all of those different vendors, but because on the day of your wedding she will orchestrate everything to perfection, subtly nudge to give you warning before toasts, and you will get the greatest gift of just being able to EXPERIENCE your wedding day, not think about details, and not have to have a worry in the world about who is in charge of what. Thank you, Carrie, for orchestrating and helping plan the perfect wedding. You truly made our wedding vision a reality.

I've actually known one person personally who used Carrie and had a wonderful experience. My review is regarding Chandra. Sadly, if I could give this business a 0 star I would. I wanted to have my wedding at Maxwelton Braes and was told I had to use Chandra as the event coordinator. That seemed fine. I initially had some questions about the contract because there was some rather vague wording that appeared to leave the price for some things open ended. The response from Chandra was that she was too busy because it was busy season. I was then told we could bypass Chandra and her company and just use the General Manager Laura which seemed to be going fine. Then Chandra appeared back in the picture. She couldn't keep my wedding date straight and kept making it sound like she was doing me a favor. First of all, this is her job and business. She is rude, unprofessional and needs to hire an asistant if she can't even keep wedding date straight. Secondly, I didn't even want to work with her! I was being forced. So it was no favor to me. I then tried canceling my date at the venue (I hadn't signed a contract yet). I requested this at least 2 times. Once directly to Laura at Maxwelton Braes and then once in an email exchange with Chandra. After several more exchanges from Chandra (that were unwarranted, I just wanted to cancel my date) I then get a hostile email from Carrie saying it's best for their business and the venue if we part ways. That is all I had been trying to do was cancel my date, despite the fact that Chandra had no clue when my wedding was. I don't recommend this business under any circumstances.

Carrie was amazing to work with. You will not find a better event planner in Door County. She is a complete professional and she managed even our craziest requests so well. She made the planning process, as well as the wedding day itself, seamless and easy. She is also really fun to be around, which is important because you end up spending a lot of time together! Another important thing is that she knows and has great relationships with EVERYONE in Door County, so when it comes to choosing the best bartenders or finding a boat that can fit 40 people, she has all the answers. It's very impressive. I cannot recommend her enough!

Carrie Baldwin was the wedding planner we had and the wedding would not have happened without her. She is amazing at what she does and provides so much guidance along the way. Our wedding was not an easy one either, due to a power outage, the reception site we had booked was not available. The day of our wedding, she found a new place for us, called every vendor, moved everything to the new site and made sure all the guests knew where to go. She is the best at what she does and made my day beautiful...and possible!

Carrie and Megan were so great to work with. They did an amazing job helping find vendors and helping me through the entire process. The day of the wedding went so wonderful thanks to Megan. She was there the entire time and took such great attention to detail. During the cocktail hour she made sure my bridesmaids and I all got to try the appetizers because she knew it got crazy and we might not get a chance otherwise. She even got me the most amazing waterproof mascara because she knew that there would be a lot of moments of tears throughout the day. I cannot say enough good things about them and how great of an experience I had.

CARRIE IS FANTASTIC!!! I could not have imagined pulling off a Door County wedding without her! She is a wonderful person to work with, very connected, and very, very good at what she does.

Carrie was incredible and her referrals were dead on. My Husband and I used only her vendor referrals and had zero issues. All her vendor were extremely talented and lovely human beings. Thanks for sharing years of experience and knowledge with us, Carrie.

Carrie is the BEST wedding planner. I had an out of town wedding and she introduced me to the best vendors got me great discounts and was totally on line with my budget. She was creative and always thinking outside of the box. She helped me from start to finish with every details. Our 20 person bridal party loved her and I couldnt have kept everyone together without her. She was great to bounce ideas off and is just one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Worth every penny and would have paid more!
