by words. From the booking process to the actual wedding, Deanna was such a gift to work with. Booking Process: I actually booked Deanna back in the spring of 2019, and got to work with her through fall of 2021 due to multiple cancellations for my wedding. Deanna was absolutely wonderful and incredibly easy to work with the first time around, but I will never be able to thank her enough for sticking with me through not one, not two, but three rescheduled wedding dates. Deanna was unbelievably kind, patient, and flexible, and did absolutely everything she could to be a part of my big day! When little changes popped up (e.g., adding an attendant/time changes), she readily made the changes (she's so on the ball!!) and was always sooo sweet/understanding about them. During a time of high stress and uncertainty, I always knew I could count on Deanna, and that really meant the world to me. Wedding Day Makeup: The times I have felt prettiest in my life were for my wedding makeup trial, my engagement pictures, and most of all my wedding day. Deanna did my makeup for all 3 events :) Deanna truly has a gift for making each person look like the very best version of themselves. Even my pickiest bridesmaids commented to me that Deanna was INCREDIBLE and they'd love to work with her again. One of my bridesmaids in particular has had issues with her eyebrows all her life, and to this day she comments about how her eyebrows never looked better than when Deanna did them as part of her makeup routine (she is dying to book Deanna for her wedding but sadly for us, she moved to NJ -- you brides there are so lucky to have her :)). Also of note: my mother-in-law was very anxious about getting her makeup done for the first time, but Deanna was so gentle and did exactly what my MIL had hoped for. With that said, not only is Deanna insanely talented and knowledgable, but her presence is so calming and reassuring, which is important on your wedding day. She knows exactly what to do to make your makeup pop in pictures in the best way. As a bride, I couldn't imagine my and my husband's big day without Deanna. I have never felt so confident or beautiful. Deanna, thank you for EVERYTHING. You had such a major role in making my wedding day the special and perfect day that it was! You are SO MISSED in Illinois! PS - Extra bonus, Deanna also does an amazing job with eyebrows, lashes, and facials :)

it's nice that she includes false lashes in her prices as well. She was also willing to give me a little pot of clear gloss for touch-ups over my long-wear lip color, which I thought was very thoughtful and generous. Deanna arrived promptly, worked efficiently and uses high quality makeup products. On the day of the wedding she brought her own chair for us to sit in and a big portable floorlamp to illuminate the workspace--I felt like a movie star! I would highly recommend her services to anyone!

Also, she did a great job on everyone's different skin types and tones, and was especially good at taming my oily skin, which was shine free the entire night, a small miracle! She arrived at our house early and prepared in the midst of a busy morning and remained so calm and sweet throughout. I wore an Indian outfit during a day time event and she got my look perfectly. I wanted to ensure that I did not look overdone, but she got it exactly right on the first shot. The Airbrush was subtle, the eyes were dramatic, and her choice in lipstick, eye shadow, and blush went very well. She nailed it! My friends with upcoming weddings have asked me for her information and I am hoping I get to work with her again. I would happily recommend her to other brides.

Her price was honest and concrete, there were no hidden fees and clauses which I had encountered on my search. With such a big wedding party I was lucky to find a simple option! I had 10 people getting makeup done that morning and everything was seamless. Deanna was calm and organized the whole morning and afternoon. The heat index was over 100 degrees and my makeup looked amazing throughout the outdoor pictures and ceremony. ALL of bridesmaids received comments on Facebook once pictures were up about how flawless their makeup looked! She even impressed my mom who had never had her makeup done and can be hard to please! I would highly recommend Deanna Lewis Makeup to any bride to be!

My airbrushed makeup and my false lashes stayed on the whole night without touch ups. That's over 10 hours! Not only was her makeup service amazing and looked flawless, she is the sweetest and most sociable makeup artist! She really cares to make you comfortable and look your best. I went to her home to have it done because she lives close, and I felt like I was in a little private makeup salon lol. She had music playing, offered drinks to my mom and I, and I honestly felt like I knew her forever as we chatted up about bachelorette and music. Lol She always asked what I liked and gave me options, but also offered her professional opinion which was exactly what I wanted anyways! It's really hard to find someone who is not only an expert with makeup but also a sweetheart! Deanna is both! You will not regret going to her or having her do your wedding. Now I just have to get my boyfriend to propose so I can have her do my wedding haha.

She was professional, very sweet, and calm-something I needed my vendors to be since I knew I would be a ball of stress. This was so helpful because she made me feel calm. Deanna always replied quickly to any questions or concerns that I had and really did an amazing job with my makeup as well as the makeup of all my girls. Our makeup was elegant, soft, and lightweight. Definitely go with the airbrush, it is fantastic. Thank you Deanna and her team for being so accommodating!

My best friend's wedding was complicated by a number of difficult situations, and we needed to find a makeup artist about a month and a half from the wedding (super last minute in the world of weddings). I found Deanna and she worked with us to make herself available and to make things easier for my friend. She was up front and honest about ways for my friend to save money and was able to come to her home for a minimal, very fair travel fee. Deanna's work was wonderful, and her calm, positive personality made everyone comfortable and at ease the morning of the wedding. My friend and the other people who had their makeup done (ranging from 27 to about 60) do not typically wear much makeup. As requested, their makeup was done to look natural, but enhanced, and their features emphasized. None of them looked overly done up, or not like themselves, which I have seen happen so often. They all looked beautiful and were completely comfortable. The makeup lasted impeccably the entire day and night, through hours of pictures, eating, and sweaty dancing. I was honestly floored by how great Deanna was to interact with, and how wonderful her work was. In being involved with other people's weddings this past year, and planning my own at the same time, I have found that it is rare to come across people who so seamlessly combine such great personality and reliability with such excellent work. I wholeheartedly recommend Deanna to anyone who ever needs a makeup artist.

My daughter is pretty to begin with but Deanna enhanced all her special features and made an angel out of her. What a beautiful young lady walked down the isle that day.
