Christopher and Ali were fantastic for our wedding! We were able to get all of the shots we wanted, and more. We absolutely love our photos from our wedding day. Christopher even brought a squeaky dog toy to help tell my blind family members where the camera was, which was able to get us photos with real smiles. We had Christopher for our engagement photos, and hope to have him for a third time do anniversary photos!
John Paul was our photographer and he was absolutely amazing!! He also did our engagement photos and said that he had fun doing them. He taught us things to do to capture unforgettable moments. He was with us for 11 hours and captured my husband and my new mother in law in candid photos that came out that made us literally cry. He never got upset when there was some craziness going on and always kept his composure. He was outstanding and I would highly recommend him and Edward Fox for your wedding day photography. They always answered any and all of my questions and were always there when I needed to contact them or my photographer.
On a scale of 1-5, a 3 is ok and our day of photographer was just ok. He didn’t stick to task and captured shots we did not want that wasted time. Of the shots we got, half were not reflective of our venue aesthetic we were looking for. Photos were not a focus for my husband and I so I guess I get what I get.
Overall recommend but please choose a top tier photo package. I expected a little better than what we received for a low tier package or “bridal show special”. But overall ok
We had Christian Yah as our wedding day photographer and he was phenomenal! Edward Fox has a lot of talented photographers - Christian’s portfolio stood out to us because it really captured the feelings of the moment. We were just as a impressed by his work when we spoke to him ahead of our wedding day - he took the time to understand the critical shots we wanted and make recommendations on how to maximize our time.
The end result was everything we wanted and more. We have so many beautiful photos that capture the happiness and laughter of the day. But what makes Christian truly exceptional is his personality - he was a pleasure to work with. He was easy to talk to and made the pre-ceremony shoot feel natural.
Choosing Christian as your photographer will be one of the best decision you’ll make!
5 stars all around! Chris and Ali were absolutely fantastic and our photos came out AMAZING! They were so much fun to work with and made our day extra special. Jessica helped make the entire process easy and was always there to answer any of our questions, we were so happy to choose Edward Fox for our big day!
Christopher and Ali did an absolutely AMAZING job capturing every part of our big day. They guided our group and made sure every angle and smile was perfect. They were a wonderful team. They traveled with us all day from various preparation sites, to our church and then another hour to get to our venue. They didn't complain once about the heat or travel times and said they would stay with us to the end if that's what we wanted. Upon sharing our photos, we have received numerous comments about how amazing our photographers were! We would recommend them in a heart beat!
David Loeb from Edward Fox photographed our Engagement Party, and the photos could not have turned out better! David was great at pulling different people into photos and capturing candid shots as well. He made everyone laugh throughout the event, and I will cherish these photos forever. I would HIGHLY recommend David for any event, especially one as special as wedding or engagement as he really captured all of the special moments.
If you are considering booking with Edward Fox, DO IT!!! Kim was so great to work with, very timely with responses and incredibly friendly. She really worked with me to get a package that was right for our wedding. David Loeb shot my wedding this past weekend, and the images are absolute STUNNING, far more amazing than I could have ever imagined. He was able to get every single shot that I wanted, and get everything done efficiently so we were ahead of schedule the entire day, and I was not stressed at all! He got some amazing shots, that I will cherish forever from my big day. David was such a pleasure to work with, and many guests from the wedding complimented on what a funny and personable guy he was. I would definitely recommend Edward fox and david for any wedding or event that you have, as you will be pleased beyond expectations. I will be using their services in the future no doubt ☺️.
I used Edward Fox for both my photography and cinematography, and I was very happy with my decision! Not only were they responsive and professional, but also very collaborative and insightful. Jessica coordinated with me from the beginning, assisting me through changing my ceremony site even, to ensure I didn't have any of the wedding day photo issues bridal parties typically have.
She suggested me look through various sites and photos to help me articulate my desires, inspirations and interests to ensure I had all the memories, lighting and various effects, etc., so that nothing was missed on my special day. The whole planning was very hands on, much like a partnership, so that when my wedding day came about, it ran very smoothly so that the photos and cinema were perfect!
They also offered incredibly competitive pricing and flexibility with their packages. I would highly recommend them for any wedding or event being planned. I'll surely use them again.
We had the most wonderful experience working with Christopher from Edward Fox. Working with the office was always a smooth process and once we met Christopher to go over everything we knew we were in good hands. The day just would not have been the same with anyone else – Christopher was the man! He is very personable and so easy to get along with. He fit right in with all of our friends and family. We did not have the best weather conditions the day of our wedding and he was great at finding indoor options and options that would only have us outside for short periods of time (near the door.) When our ceremony got thrown inside at the very last second I was even told that he was there setting up the chairs! He went above and beyond. He was sure to take all of the shots that we wanted and had great ideas for other shots as well. When we received the images we were blown away by how amazing they were! Everyone looks amazing, lighting is perfection, great variety of shots. We can’t stop looking at the photos. I highly recommend Chris! He made the day go so smoothly (and fun) and gave us photographs we will cherish forever.
They were amazing!!!! We used 2 photographers and a videographer for our wedding. I did a boudoir shoot and we did our engagement session through them. The professionalism, kindness, punctuality, and advice made it 100% stress free. Honestly, I didn't stress about them at all. It was perfection!! The pictures are flawless and I couldn't be more thankful for Edward fox!
The biggest issue I have is that I was not directed or helped enough with telling Todd what kind of photos I wanted. He asked all the questions and I gave him my answers, but that was it. This backfired on me badly. This is my first time getting married, how am I suppose to know what to say besides answering the questions you ask me?? There was no list to given to me to choose from different ideas on what other couples normally do.
Todd really had a strong personality which some of my bridesmaids and family members could not handle. He should be aware when making jokes how to read people's reactions.
There were so many photos missing of people and awkward photos that were put into our online album, for example:
-my moms hair piece (she was very upset about this)
-very limited pictures of the men getting ready compared to mine
-about 60+ photos of my face that were close up (unnecessary)
-Reception: only 17 out of 130 guests photographed!! So upset about this.
-Dancing: only 45 pictures of people (which a lot of people were in multiple photos/repeat shots). Todd was there for at least an hour of dancing, I am not sure how it's possible to get that few.
-Cocktail hour: only 57 photos with 16 of people
-Ceremony: only 4-5 guests were photographed
-Band: we had an awesome band and there were hardly any photos of the band as a whole
-No picture of all of us at the head table
Overall the outdoor pictures of Rob and I with family members turned out beautiful. However, I am very sad that more of our guests did not make it into the pictures. As you can see from the stats there were probably only 20-30 different people photographed. Very disappointed. What did we get from all of this? A "it was in your contract" and a photo album. Not pleased with this company.
My only regret from my wedding is hiring Edward Fox as my photography vendor. The company in itself was just okay BUT my actual photographer Ken was terrible. His pictures turned out fine however he was the rudest person I've ever met in my life. He rolled his eyes at everyone. My grandfather had a hard time walking up the aisle to take a family photo so it took him a while. Ken stood there rolling his eyes , shaking his head. Multiple tables asked him to take a photo of there table in which he responded "I wasn't hired for that" When I called on monday to complain about Ken's behavior they said " that doesn't sounds like him , he must have been sick" He literally almost had me in tears during alter pictures thats how rude he was being to me, my guest and my other vendors. PLEASE if you picked Edward Fox DO NOT, DO NOT pick Ken!!!! PS, Ken didn't get a picture of me and my sister (MOH) my husband and his best man, me and father! He missed so many key photos, so the company had to photoshop pictures together to create those shots! So unacceptable!!!
Zandro from Edward Fox Photography was amazing. He fit right in with our whole crew on our wedding day. He got stuff done and made sure everyone was prepared and looked their best. We hadn't made a premade list of the photographs that I wanted to capture, but he made she he caught them all!! I cannot wait to see the final products!!
We had Edward Fox Photo and Video for our Wedding on 5/27/16. I was worried as you hear so many horror stories about photography places. No need to worry! Brenda Nicolin, the Consultant we worked with through the entire process was quick to answer all of our questions, remind us about payments and sent us tons of portfolios of photographers and helped us pick a videographer. I got my pictures released on the Edward Fox website within 2 weeks of my wedding so that I could see all of the photos and got my DVD shortly after. The pictures that Zandro Zafra and Ali Ibrahim captured were absolutely amazing and I will forever cherish them as they got some moments that I don't even remember in the Blur of that day. Our videographer- Tony LaCroix did an awesome job with the DVD also. When my husband and I got to sit down and watch it together, I cried, I laughed and saw SO many moments that I missed that I am so glad we paid extra for the videographer! I am still working with Brenda, the consultant, on getting a few pictures and she is as wonderful as helpful as the day we booked with her- almost 6 months AFTER the wedding! Definitely recommend Ed Fox and all of the talented people above.
Thanks for capturing the memories!
Laura & Vilnis
We had John-Paul from Edward Fox as our photographer for the wedding and had an AMAZING experience! I found some must have pictures that John-Paul made sure were taken during the wedding, but I was also extremely impressed by his knowledge of different poses and ideas that made our wedding pictures priceless. John-Paul was also extremely patient during any hectic moments before my walk down the aisle, and friendly to all of my guests and wedding party. It is easy to tell that John-Paul is passionate about his work and wants you to have the best memories possible through your photographs. I would highly recommend John-Paul to anyone who is looking for a fantastic photographer. He was very professional and we are extremely happy with our pictures!
We used Edward Fox Photography and Videography for our July 2016 wedding and were truly impressed! Our photographer, Jenny, was amazing!!! She has such an artistic eye and is a true professional. Despite us feeling slightly uncomfortable during our first photography experience (our engagement shoot), Jenny was able to make us comfortable, loosen us up, and allow us to really trust her and have fun with the photo shoot. We were extremely excited to see Jenny on our wedding day! We knew we could trust her to find the best shots capturing our special day. Jenny goes above and BEYOND!! She saved our day on multiple occasions from pinning the boutonnieres on the groom/groomsmen in an assembly line fashion at the church, walking us through cake-cutting when we were unsure what to do, calming me down while dealing with groomsmen who decided to make a liquor stop on the way to our photos before the reception, and jumping in to do my bustle when my maid of honor couldn't remember how to do it. Jenny is a God send!!!! We also used Edward Fox for Videography. Our videographer, Tony, was also extremely professional and nice! He communicated wonderfully with us when he had an idea for something he'd like to capture on video. Tony and Jenny worked amazing together as a team and I highly recommend both of them!! Thank you Jenny and Tony for amazing service, beautiful pictures/video, and all of your assistance throughout the wedding day!!!
We had John Paul as our main photographer and he brought an assistant Jake Hill. John Paul also did our engagement photos in the beginning. All the photos turned out really well and we are very pleased with the service. I would definitely recommend. And all my interactions with the company in person and through email were great, I couldn't have asked for more. They are very professional. I tried printing photos at walgreens and they wouldn't let me without a release form so I emailed the company and Lisa got back to me within a couple hours or so which was awesome. We had our wedding at the Milwaukee County Zoo and I would say the only complaints are we didn't really get photographs by the penguin area quite like we wanted. We have 2 of me and my husband but it just has the glass in the background with one penguin (which were still two of my favorite photos) and we really wanted to have a few with the whole penguin exhibit in the background because it is so iconic. It would have also been really nice to get a few more on the boardwalk with the bridal party and utilizing the pillars. I had emailed John Paul some photo poses that we liked but I ended up having to mention the poses during the wedding day, I just wish he would have brought them up because we had so much on our minds already and we only were able to do 2 of those poses maybe out of 5 or 6. But other than those few things, John Paul really is an amazing artist with a great eye and produces great photos. What I love most about this company is that you get every single photo that they shoot, whether its good or horrible, lol. It really lets you re-live the moments of that day that went by so extremely fast. Thank you again so much for everything.
During our first session, Lisa was so helpful in helping us come up with a photographer who would best suit our needs. She identified John Paul, and when we met him for our engagement session, we knew he had a great personality but were blown away by the quality of photos. We were so happy with the photos he took but also with the timeliness of receiving the pictures back! When it came time for our wedding day, John Paul did a great job of hanging out in the back ground and capturing my favorite – candids – while also being there and handling the more structured set up of portraits. He was flexible and was on the ground, doing all kinds of awesome angles to make sure we got the best photos. We got out wedding DVD about 2 weeks after the wedding day and were stunned at the quality and amount of pictures. For only being one guy, John Paul exerted himself to the extreme to capture what seems like every single moment. My friends and family love the pictures and are quite amazed that we received over 1000 images. It was so amazing being able to relive those moments again and John Paul truly did an amazing job. Lisa and John Paul helped make our day unforgettable – thank you so much!
I would give 0 stars if I could. Probably the worst experience of the wedding process was dealing with all the problems I've had with this company. I'll save everyone the details and time reading everything thing that went wrong. The main things are, my parents have no family portrait. All my mother wanted was a photo of her, my father, and her two daughters before church and the photographer literally brushed it off after she asked him many times. After my mother, mother in law and myself spent at least 2 hours making a list of shots that were a MUST. However there's about 15 of my dress hanging, and 5 each of my shoes, ring and garter. Because that is definitely a MUST right? Even better, at the reception I have people who were not attending my wedding get pictures before I had one with my sister and parents. (Probably people walking from the restaurant side to use the washroom near the banquet) Second biggie, our pictures were majority outside on a sunny June day and everyone's eyes were squinted....hate every single picture. And the third, the last pictures taken at my parents home were me with my dogs all dressed up and cute, but they weren't there when I received the website link. I was told they were never taken and I may have been confused. I don't know how that's possible when I had them each and posed, smiled and saw the flash myself. And all 35 family members were there to witness it and "awwww" over it. Unfortunately the list could continue for at least another 5 or 6 more problems. My advice, stick to an independent, self owning company. Who actually pays attention to their clients.
David Loeb is a great photographer! He definitely enjoys his job and takes really fantastic photos. He tried every single type of shot that I showed him prior to our wedding. He is fun, charismatic, and wonderful to work with.
Brenda is really pleasant and a great woman to work with. If we had any questions or concerns, she was very quick to respond.
If I could give zero stars I would. Please beware. They are very misleading. No work is actually completed by Edward Fox they're a service provider as the GM puts it. You sign a contract with them and then they find contractors to complete the work this includes video. They are misleading as they say that video is another department not another company.
Quality: Our ceremony and group photos were nice however, the photographer bombed our reception pictures. We had uplighting and he used the flash which lead to over exposing our pictures obstructing all visuals of our lighting. For our Album we had to add guest and personal pictures to have an accurate representation of our reception.
We used them for video as well: we paid for 2 cameras only received footage from one. We have no footage of our first looks at each other since the manned camera is focused on the podium, we have numerous other missed images and only have audio.
I had to point out these mistakes as I discovered them when I picked up my completee dvd. After pointing out the obvious mistakes they are refunding us the price variance between their one camera and two camera package and giving us some enhancements. An important note I must make is that their price point is significantly higher than the company that provides their video service.
Many have mentioned the delays in obtaining their completed projects. We obtained our online viewing in a timly manner as well as receiving the wedding video. However since we have had problems wit quality we're unsure when we will have the corrected finish product.
Basically you are paying to have Edward Fox to find contractors to complete your wedding day but none are employed by Edward Fox. You can do this work on your own and have control over who captures your day. You're not assigned a photographer and or videographer until closer to your wedding day for the sole reason they have to find a contractor that's available. I highly suggest with going an independent company that actually has employees vs contractors.
David Loeb of Edward Fox is a great photographer, he knows what he's doing! He's not your typical photographer that is just taking pictures of your big day, he is ensuring that your wedding is the Best Day. I'm pretty sure he's being doing wedding photography since he was a child, he knows exactly how everything is suppose to go and he actually may be a better organizer than your expensive wedding planner. He is super assertive but don't let that bother you, because there is a lot of confusion on your wedding day and he will he get you right past that everything with him will be smooth sailing. Edward Fox is affordable and is reputable, my mom used them almost 30 years ago when she had her wedding photos done. You'll get every shot you want, only 10X better than you would have imagined! Good luck!
Our photographer and videographer were both from Edward Fox Photography & Video. They were super easy to deal with. They have been in the field forever, so they know a lot and are extremely helpful. I loved both our photographer, David Loeb, and our videographer, Carlo. The price was also great, especially compared to other vendors. For photography, we did the middle package and received 10 hours of service, an album, and rights to our all of our pictures!
David Loeb was our photographer for our June wedding. He is amazing!!!! He also photographed our engagement pictures and wow! Not only did our wedding party enjoy working with him, but our family and wedding guests all loved his sense of humor and great eye for candid pictures. He was able to get all of the creative shots we wanted and so many more that we hadn't even thought of. You can't go wrong with David, excellent results! We love our teasers he sent a week after the wedding and can't wait for the rest.
Edward Fox Photography is very easy to work with. We have had zero issues with them and they are great at communication. Thank you!!
DAVID LOEB
We absolutely LOVED David!! He was my aunt's photographer and I was part of her bridal party, and I remember how fun he was and the amazing photos he took for hers. I just want to point out that I was super nervous (literally shaking) prior to leaving the hotel to get our pictures taken, but as soon as I saw David I totally fine. He's like a long lost friend that gets you laughing and worry free! He was so interactive with everyone and very attentive! Also, our wedding was on May 23rd, and we received our Teaser pictures and they are AWESOME! Our guests also loved David. I have gotten so many compliments. So glad we got him!
I am not going to babble for to long. I just want to let everyone know that if you are looking for someone that is going to get amazing photo's, Todd is the man. He knows what he is doing and he does it really well. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. I could not have asked for more beautiful photo's. Edward Fox was a little more expensive than some choices out there, but it's for a reason. You get what you pay for. Out of everything for my wedding, I decided to invest in this vendor because I look back at these photo's every day! I knew I could trust them with all the reviews I read. Let me tell you the reviews are not lying. You are able to see actual weddings from the photographers on Facebook. It was great being able to choose our photographer that way! I got exactly what I wanted that way. Not many companies do that. I could not be happier with Todd. The turnaround time was awesome as well, I had a few photo's up the next day!! My whole portfolio was available a few weeks later.
I love Edward Fox Photo! I highly suggest using them for your photographer :)
David shot our recent wedding and did a great job in working with everyone involved with the wedding and in getting all of the pictures that we wanted. He took advantage of the unique features of the venue and the sunset which took place right after the conclusion of the ceremony to capture some really unique images. He definitely has an eye for what will look good after the picture has been taken. The initial handful of pictures which we received look great and are looking forward to the rest. Many of our guests also commented on how well the photographer 'managed' everyone in taking bridal party, family and group pictures.
I want to start by saying that the pricing compared to other companies was great. We got 10 hours of photography with a photo release at the time of the last payment (on disc) as well as they don't require a payment on the wedding day, which is amazing (and uncommon). The customer service until the day of my wedding was amazing.
I had specifically requested a photographer who was experienced with outdoor weddings and more candid shots. Obviously there were going to be standing portraits (family shots and bridal party shots) that I wanted, but mostly I wanted to see a lot of "action" and candid shots. Especially for my reception as everyone would be mingling and dancing. I also stated that I wanted a more modern type of photography.
None of my requests for my photographer were granted. My shots outdoors were all over or under exposed. My shots for my reception consisted wholly of random groups of people standing together portrait style. Also, the only pictures of my MIL are of her eating (which wasn't her only activity that evening) and the only picture of my father was the same. I really don't want a picture of someone with food in their mouth. There were some beautiful shots but I have to be honest, picking the 45 pictures out of the almost 900 shots we got was difficult because I didn't like 45 of them. I also added a picture that my cousin took of the ring bearer and flower girl as there were no nice pictures of them.
Then came the 2 months of ZERO communication while I waited for my proofs. Once the proofs were posted I had 2 weeks to look at them before the website was shut down. Needless to say, I did not order any proofs from the photographer. It took 6 months before I got confirmation on how many photos I was supposed to choose for my album. It was only after I posted a terrible post publicly on their facebook page that I got any attention. Phone calls and emails were not sufficient. It was after weeks of attempted contact with some manager that I finally got confirmation that my album was even ordered. Then they tried to tell me that I hadn't paid for the nicer album and needed to pay $150 more.
My album is beautiful as well as my parent albums. I am glad it is over and I never have to deal with them again. It is a lot of frustration for very little reward. I did have the whole thing wrapped up before my 1 year anniversary, unlike some of the other reviews I have seen both here and on their Facebook page.
Edward Fox and photographer David Loeb did my wedding 2 weeks ago at the Waldorf Astoria Chicago. All I can say is "wow". He was very personable, professional, organized, experienced and easy to work with. He had a great time as well. All of my guests commented how great he was and that he made them laugh. He took every photo that we requested plus captured everything else! My groom and I haven't yet received our proofs yet as its only been 2 weeks but he did send a few preliminary teasers that are GORGEOUS! I cant wait to see the rest! Dave was really great, he enjoyed himself, was engaged with us and all our guests and family during the entire event. Edward Fox was great as a company to work with and has a great payment plan where you don't have to pay everything upfront before you even receive services, which is rare nowadays. I checked out quite a few photographers before selecting and so glad I made the choice I did!
My (now) husband and I discovered Edward Fox Photography in The Knot Chicago Magazine. We contacted the company almost one year before our wedding day, and we ended up working with Jenee from start to finish. She was very low-key and easy to work with. After explaining to Jenee what kinds of pictures we would like to have to remember our special day, she showed us portfolios of three wedding photographers that would best capture our vision. We were so excited to have different portfolios to compare, but the second we saw David Loeb’s work, we had no reason to see anything else.
When we finally met David in person, it was obvious that he was a gifted photographer and I felt very comfortable having him take the reigns in order to catch the perfect wedding day moments. He encouraged me to reach out to him at any time, and advised me to create a list of “must have” shots for the wedding, so he did not miss any important people.
On the day of the wedding, David arrived on time and ready to shoot. He became fast friends with all of my bridesmaids, making corny jokes and helping them comfortable around the camera. When it came time for our “first look” and bridal party shots, David took control and insisted on some cool, funny, and ridiculous poses. We had no idea how beautiful and perfect the pictures could turn out until we received some “teaser shots” ten days after the wedding (we couldn’t believe how fast those came!).
After the wedding, as mentioned above, David sent us ten teaser shots while my husband and I were on our honeymoon. The photos were absolutely beautiful! We had no idea how fast the rest of our pictures would be released after the wedding, especially because we had hearD horror stories from friends who still had not received the rights to their pictures months after their wedding. We were shocked to receive a website invitation for our friends and relatives to access our pictures online within three weeks after the wedding, and a few days later we received a DVD in the mail with all of our pictures included. I cannot believe how fast and efficient they were, and every picture is more beautiful than the last. Edward Fox was a great company to work with, and David Loeb gave us unbelievable pictures that we will cherish forever!
Christian from Edward Fox was our wedding photographer and we couldn't have been happier with him. He was so easy to work with and made everyone feel very comfortable in front of the camera. The pictures turned out beautifully. We also really enjoyed their online photo sharing system, which allows family members to receive direct communication about picture availability and promotions - saved us a lot of phone calls/emails!
Chicago Brides: do yourselves a favor and hire Jenny Fontaine to photograph your wedding. You won't be sorry!
Jenny is beyond talented. I just got a look at my photos and am over the moon!! She has a wonderful personality, and balances being organized and running things on a schedule without being...well...you know. I had a blast with her all day long, and she got along perfectly with my friends and family. Sometimes personalities just don't gel, which can affect how the pictures come out, but she kept everyone laughing and with genuine smiles on their faces.
We met with Jenny a few weeks before the wedding, and I have to say, she did literally everything that I asked. Table pictures, getting ready pictures, etc. She also had some amazing ideas about where to go downtown and ended up shooting absolutely marvelous shots. I will be glowing over these pictures for years to come.
I could not ask for better pictures or to be happier.
David Loeb was our main photographer, and Greg was our secondary photographer. They both have outstanding personalities and work incredibly well together. David took charge and made quick work of everything, which was exceptionally helpful with our flower girls and ring bearers. David made sure every shot was positioned perfectly with the lighting, and it if wasn't, he made adjustments on the spot. He was incredibly professional, but also knew how to have fun and make you laugh - perfect for a day full of pictures! He's incredibly detail oriented and talented - he saw the sky at one point during our reception and had me and my new husband sneak outside for a few quick photos to capture the moment...it also let us take a deep breath and have a second alone on our wedding day. It was perfect. David sent us 10 teaser photos within a week of the wedding, so we could pick one or two to use for our thank you cards. They are all absolutely stunning. I would recommend David and Greg to anyone that's using Edward Fox, as they are exceptional!
We utilized Edward Fox’s Video services for our April 2014 wedding. Honestly we went back and forth during planning our wedding about whether or not we wanted to spend the money to have someone professionally video tape the wedding. After receiving the final product it was worth every penny and thanks to Edward Fox the out of pocket cost was very reasonable! Joe was our videographer and he was great. We didn’t speak until just 2 days before the wedding and I think he could tell I was a bit stressed and he made everything very easy. He captured every moment but was also very much in the background and was never in our face or asking us to do additional things. He truly just captured the day. Luanne edited the video and did a fantastic job. She edited together the reception so well it was like reliving it over and over again. My only complaint was that they requested song selections from us for the video a month before the wedding and at that time it was one more thing I didn’t have time to add to my plate. We elected to have Luanne choose the songs and she did a great job but if song selection is important to you I recommend you add it to your wedding to do list ahead of time.
Overall we would recommend having a wedding video and using Edward Fox as your videographer!
Edward Fox Photography did an extraordinary job with my wedding photos! The turn around of our wedding album was simply flawless. The quality of the photos is priceless. The photographer did an exceptional job capturing every special moment during the wedding. Even though we had to wait a few extra months for our album, in the end it was worth the wait! Overall, Edward Fox Photography did a magnificent job and would recommend them to anyone!
Great service, great price and from what I've seen so far, great photos!
Our photographer and videographer were both fantastic! They knew all the right moments to capture.
Mike is great, he is professional but has character and it all shows in his work.
We hired Mike for our wedding and we are so glad we did. Choosing a photographer can be scary because you can't do it twice so it takes a lot of trust. I would hire Mike again in an instant, he truly delivered.
Our photos were beautiful, he was very easy to work with, responsive, he went above and beyond and was a good addition to our wedding fun. We are so thankful for his hard work and our amazing photos.
I would recommend Mike to anyone and hope to get the opportunity to work with him again in the future!
When we went to the studios, everything seems old and out of date. Their prices were considerably higher than the photographer we ended up booking. We decided that we wanted to go with a more up beat, modern photography studio.
I used them for my wedding. I loved the photographers. Cleon was great! Peter was fun. The pictures came out great.
Problem is: I got married in September 2012. It took me over a year to get my album. I had celebrated my one year anniversary before I got my wedding album! In the package I bought, I got two mother's albums, and I still haven't received those. They said there was a delay in the printing because of the holidays. But it's been a over a year since I sent in my final order.
Not worth it.
I chose Edward Fox to do my photography at my wedding. My photographer was Jenny Fontaine (she also worked with another photographer we added last minuted name Ali, who was great). Jenny was a pleasure to have as a photographer. Before the wedding she took the time to speak with me and learn what kind of photos I wanted and what photos were a must on the wedding day. Jenny arrived early the day of the wedding and got a head start on the photography. Throughout the day Jenny was a pleasure to work with. She kept everyone calm and organized throughout the day which allowed us to get all the pictures we wanted. She got all the photos I wanted her to get and also came up with great photo ideas I had not even thought of. It also happen to be freezing the day of my wedding and that did not phase her a bit. She was able to take photos quickly so that my bridesmaids would not freeze! She also was able to get all family members together while still being kind yet efficient.
I worked with Michele at Edward Fox to set up our photography package and she was also great. Very easy to work with and let us know everything that we cold have while keeping our budget in mind.
I cant wait to see our photos because I am confident they will be fabulous! I would recommend Ewdward Fox Photography and Jenny Fontaine to any bride!
o
Hi All,
My wife and I were married in October 2012. We purchased our photos along with our wedding album through Edward Fox. Photos went great, Brad the photographer was awesome. I was expecting my album in the next few months.
Well in July of 2013 I received an email saying the wedding album’s producer closed and there would be a delay, but I can choose any type of album they offered. Disappointed, my wife and I chose one. Here is the gist of the email.
Recently, I had contacted you to notify you of supply problems we have been
experiencing with our album manufacturer which have resulted in the
unacceptable delay of your album. To my dismay, I was recently notified
that the company has gone out of business and not going to be producing the
Mosaic style product as promised.
We want you to have your wedding album as soon as possible, therefore we
are asking for your response by August 7, 2013. If we have not heard
from your by this date we will assume you want us to select the style
album we think is a fair substitute for the Mosaic album you were
promised.
If we don't reply they will choose one for us?!?! Fine, I asked if the album would be here by our year anniversary and they said they would "try". They can't make an album in 12 months?
Well, our 1 year anniversary came and went. I called just the other day and was told their new supplier had closed too! They would give me a "drop dead" date of 12/13!
At this point I just wanted a refund so I asked for one. I was told the value of the album was $275 and that is what I would be refunded. I paid close to $2000 for pictures and the album and that is what they valued the album at, claiming it is the "cheapest part".
Email that was sent from them.
I have attached a copy of your contract.
Here are the payments made and the dates:
12/17/11 $600
9/20/12 $325
12/3/12 $462.50
12/26/12 $480.08
Total $1867.58
I understand your frustration with the delivery of your album.
Unfortunately we have experienced significant problems with our suppliers
that have been the cause of the delay in shipment. I appreciate your
request for a refund but as I stated over the phone, I can refund you the
value of the album, since that is the only part of your package that has
not been delivered. The value of the album is $275.
I hope no one pays over $275 for an album from them.
Please stay away from Edward Fox. 13 months later still no album and a measly $275 refund.
For our wedding day we hired Edward Fox Photography, with the lead photographer being David Loeb. I cannot say enough wonderful things about David Loeb. He is a true artist, he is creative, he is talented, he is funny and he made the entire process so much fun. My husband, like most men, hates taking pictures. He was dreading this part of our day, however, David made the entire process so much fun. Throughout the day, not once did I hear my husband complain about having to take pictures.
David was always available for questions, he would promptly return phone calls and emails. He was also very accommodating. With the stress of the wedding day, I forgot to bring a wedding invitation with me, so that David can take some creative photographs of my handmade invitations. David knew the wedding invitation was important to me and he assured me it was no problem, and he asked me drop off the invite at the studio the week after the wedding so that he can take some pictures of it. Another thing I loved about David was that a few days after our wedding, David emailed us a few amazing teaser pictures so we were able to immediately order our thank you cards.
Overall, I would highly recommend David! He is amazing at what he does!
My dad is an amateur photographer so he ultimately picked who we went with. We had our consolation and picked out our package and such and it was a great experience. What was nice was they asked us what our personality type is like and directed us towards the photographer they thought we would like best based on what we were looking for photo wise.
That leads me to David Loeb who was our photographer. Start to finish this man was amazing. He did our engagement photos and our wedding and I honestly can't say enough good things about him. We became comfortable with him during our engagement shoot in Chicago and he knew all the best places to take us and our photos turned out beautiful and we still get compliments on them.
For our wedding he knew exactly when to get the right light and where to take us. While on our honeymoon he sent us some teasers and they were gorgeous and turned out better than we ever could have hoped for and they were low resolution!
I can't wait to see all the photos he took and design our book because I know they are going to turn out amazing. It's nice when you're a bride and you don't have to worry about how your photos are going to turn out because you trust your photographer completely and that's how our wedding with David was; he got free reign on everything.
David Loeb is the best photographer there is. He loves his job and so passionate about his work. He takes the most amazing work and is such a perfectionist I LOVED IT. He caters to the bride and groom so they enjoy their special day no issues. Love love love David Loeb and Edward Fox. They know how to do weddings!!!!
David Loeb and Carlos Aparo were wonderful to work with. Both men showed up on time and produced excellent quality work. David was really fun to work with, listened to all of our personal requests, and had the ability to capture both classic and artistic shots. His creative ideas kept the day really exciting and memorable. His passion for photography and high quality of work is evident in every picture. Carlos listened to our personal requests and made us feel comfortable in front of the camera. He was really fun to work with due to his positive personality.
I’ve reviewed all of our wedding vendors and unfortunately Edward Fox is the only vendor I would have changed from our entire wedding. Our experience with Edward Fox was unfortunately very disappointing. Let me start with the positives. 1. The office staff, particularly Jenee, is very helpful and accommodating. I enjoyed working with them until our wedding date. 2. Our photographers, Ladio Vasak and Chris Cotes were phenomenal. I enjoyed working with both of them and would work with them independent of Edward Fox any day. They take gorgeous photos and were very professional 3. Our photo proofs were returned to us in a timely fashion and our DVD was sent to our house within 6 weeks of our wedding date. The photos were wonderful.
Now for the bad which relates 100% to the album. We met with our album designer in November. I found Pam to be very pushy, she was pushing add-ons to our album and making us feel guilty when we passed on many of them. She was obviously there to make some form of commission on our album and not just to design it - we had already paid for it in our photo package. We finalized our design in November and were told the album would be ready in 4 months. At the end of April I called Edward Fox and asked for a status update; I was told there was a manufacturer’s delay and the album would be ready in several weeks. In mid-July I called back, as we had not yet received our album, and left voice mail after voice mail for the general manager, John, to please provide me with an update. After 4 messages he called back and informed me that our album was never ordered and was not yet ready. He explained that Edward Fox failed to order the album back in November, and again in April, and that they failed to a picture to the manufacturer which was needed to complete the album. I asked how Edward Fox would compensate us for this error and he said he’d call the next day to discuss options. He never called back again. I called multiple times, my husband called, my mother called, he never returned any of our calls. Everytime I called I would kindly ask to speak with someone who could help me and was always told that John “just walked in and would call back any minute” or “just stepped out but would call back later”. He basically ignored me as he was unwiling to compensate us for the errors of the studio. I would feel less taken advantage of if we were in some way compensated or were treated with respect by him.
I am very sorry to provide this review of Edward Fox as I thoroughly enjoyed the beginning of the process with them; however I have to be honest in the review process. I hope I am the outlier as most people seem to have had a very positive experience with them.
If you are looking for a photographer I would recommend R.E.M. photography as they are fantastic to work with, provide a product in a timely manner and produce beautiful photos.
I used Edward Fox for my wedding photography a few weeks ago. We worked with David and have never been so pleased. He did such a wonderful job and we could not have been happier with his work!
This review may be a bit premature, as we still haven't gotten out wedding photos back yet. But I can tell you from the quality of our engagement photos and the professional yet fun personality of our photographer that Edward Fox is worth your time and money.
We purchased their most basic photography package for $1200 and received a free engagement session. We had our engagements taken in November at Jefferson Park, which is right behind the Chicago studio. Once the photographer got a feel for our style and personalities, he put us in some fun and interesting poses and places. I paid $300 and bought all 123 of the photos he took. They have a less expensive option where you can purchase just 10 or so favorites.
They let you view the photos in a private room on a very large screen before you buy them.I didn't purchase any prints, just a CD with all the photos on them. The quality of the photos was amazing. I re-sized some of our favorites and put them on Facebook. Then I uploaded some to snapfish.com and designed four different save-the-dates our guests. We handed them out at a Christmas party and everyone loved seeing the different designs.
We also used many of our engagement photos as decorations for the wedding reception. I printed 4x6 copies and put them in black frames for guest favors. They loved them!
About two or three days before the wedding our photographer Steve called us. I could tell right away that he would be fun to work with, but still professional. One of the things he stressed was that he would do what I wanted him to do, and while he would be taking lots of pictures, he wouldn't interrupt special moments for a posed photo-op unless I wanted him to.
My advise is to make a list (and have your parents make one too) of special photos they would like to have taken. I forgot to do this and missed out on a few photos with some important guests. However, when Steve would see us talking with our guests, he would ask them to pose for a picture, so it worked out well.
Our wedding ceremony and reception took place at the same location. After the ceremony we were supposed to travel with our bridal party and the photographer to a nearby park for pictures. But, it was so hot and humid that I just wanted to stay at our venue. Steve managed to find the perfect places to pose my husband and I. He kept us out of the sun, too and believe me on a hot day like we had that was a big deal.
If I wanted my picture taken in a certain place, he took it. If my guests wanted their pictures taken, he took it. Our reception ran from 5 to 11pm. I don't remember what time he left, but I know it was late and most of the guests had gone by that time and I had many margaritas in me :)
Steve was such a joy to work with. He made us laugh and always took two pictures; one close and one farther away. They also put your photos on a website that you can give your guests the link to so they can see and get prints of their photos. Plus, you own all the rights to your photos.
With Edward Fox, your photos are ready six weeks after the event. We have three weeks left until we get to see our photos, but I know they'll be amazing. If they aren't up to my standard (and I highly doubt they'll be anything less that extraordinary), I'll update this review.
I could not of been more pleased with our photographer Melissa!! She was amazing!! Not only was I happy with her and her ideas and suggestions, my guests were so happy with her as well!!! After dinner she took it upon herself to invite couples or families out to take their photos. She stayed and got all of our special moments. I was so please. I can not wait to see how they turned out. Again, very please and very happy with out photographer!! Thank you soo much!! :))
Note: this is not a review of the actual photographers of this company, just the business practices and personnel.
My husband and I got married on 9/29/12. It is now almost the end of June 2013 and we still do not have the wedding album that we paid an exorbitant amount of money for. Good thing we didn't shell out several hundred more on the parent’s album. The issue started when Edward Fox Photography moved out of Michigan to only being based out of Chicago. Since that time (which was shortly before our wedding) it has been horrible. First I could not get in touch with the company to figure out what was going on as far as our wedding was concerned. Then it took so long to get our pictures from the wedding (almost a month). The next issue was with the album. We were told it would take 12 weeks to be completed. Now we are at least 16 weeks out and they are just finishing up. Lastly, after settling everything financially with them in October, we are being informed that we still owe money. How is that possible? Horrible. I would never recommend this company to anyone due to their lack of business ethics.
We would highly recommend Edward Fox Photography and photographer David Loeb in particular. We felt comfortable and confident with Edward Fox from the very first meeting. David was fantastic, especially the wedding day, as he made sure to get all of the picture combinations we had requested, while helping to keep us organized and on time. He was very friendly and enjoyable to work with throughout the entire process. His knowledge of Chicago and ability to create both traditional and unique pictures was outstanding. David was always focused and ready. His attention to detail was impressive - from making sure the bride had lip gloss on and bridesmaids' hair was in place, to remembering all of the names/roles of the wedding party before meeting anyone in person! Pictures are one of the only things you will take away from the wedding day, and having a talented and experienced photographer makes the biggest difference.
We got our engagement pictures done and they were more than disappointing! They looked horrible and the photographer was no help with what we should do. The wedding day we had Tony and Gerardo as our photographers and they did such a great job. Can't wait to see the final shots.
Our experince with our sales person was ok. She stumbled around our questions, and didn't get a straight answer very often.
We just got married on 1/20/2013 and I have to say I think we had the greatest photographer! Todd Ganek(he has a facebook page Todd R Ganek photography) was a perfect fit with our family. He set everyone at ease with his sense of humor and wit. Even our mothers, who aren't fond of photos, were put at ease! He worked hard to give us memorable photos even by scoping out the hall and adjusting lighting to make sure the best photos were captured. What meant a lot to me was how he rolled with the flow, capturing photos as situations occurred. He also took time to do a few photos of my sister and her fiance who is being sent to Afghanistan in March. Also, as we went along he would give us a sneak peek at photos as we took them, which I thought was awesome! He even sent me a file of a photo so I could order our thank you cards, so it wouldn't be March before those go out. We had a great time with Todd and I am looking forward to having some awesome moments for ever caught by a photo!
I can't forget the awesome customer service I have had with Brenda. She is fabulous as well! Not only does she take her time going through things with you before you pick out a package, but anytime we had to email her a question she responded very quickly. She also found us a great photographer for our engagement photos! We have yet to order photos for our wedding and get our photo album, but I must say I am extremely satisfied with the service so far! I highly recommend this company if you are looking for a company that believes in good customer service and if you are interested in getting more bang for your buck!
I cannot say enough about our photographer, Gerardo. He was amazing and took over 1000+ photos that all look GREAT!
The service on the otherhand, has been less than average. I was told the prints would be available within 4 weeks of the wedding date online and then available to our guests within 4-6 weeks of the date. The prints did not show up online until 5 weeks and 5 days. It was really frustrating having to explain to our guests where the pictures were, considering our thank you's were recieved (and the information to find the photos online) within the first 3 weeks after the wedding.
Was also told that we would be receiving our wedding album within 8-12 weeks after approving the design. It has been over 13 weeks and I was told that the album is still being worked on, and have not been told when to expect it.
Overall, I would NOT reccomend Edward Fox. I would reccomend Gerardo as a photographer on his own, as long as you would not have to put up with the studio. $1500 is a lot of money to spend for one day on a service. The picture quality is very nice and the photographer was wonderful, but everything else when dealing with this company is not what you would expect for the money you spend.
I was super excited about working with Edward Fox, a company that has been around for years. The initial meeting went as planned and I can't really complain about anything under their service. Brenda in Schaumburg was super friendly and helped us select a package that would work best for us. The engagement photos were beautiful out in Chicago and I'm thrilled that Brenda told us about that outdoor location. My holdups with Edward Fox would be that the planning meeting with the photographer for the wedding was done over the phone and it took good over an hour. I would have preferred to have done that face to face or through an email, that much talking is hard and then you can't remember what you said! Additionally when the photographer arrived she wanted furniture rearranged for photos in the house. Nobody had told me about this and we were all in formal wedding gear so we were not about to move couches! After we figured out how to work around it things were great. The photographer was very professional and super funny. We loved switching back and forth between English and Spanish (my husband is Mexican and so were many of the attendants in the wedding) and she had us laughing all day and night. Overall I really liked Edward Fox.
I was concerned, as the company moved from Michigan to Chicago a few months before my wedding. However, they kept their Michigan photographers and it was very easy to get ahold of them. My photographer was Cleon, and I LOVED working with him! Their prices are a bit high, but you get what you pay for :)
We used Edward Fox for our photography and had Jenny Fontaine as our photographer. She was Awesome!!! She snapped away all day and night, getting pictures of everyone. Our families have some difficult members to deal with and she handled it great. I highly recommend her. She even got in touch with the week of the wedding to ask what pics were a definite, who our family members were and how many. We loved her!!
Although we haven't gotten our photos yet, the girl we worked with was very nice.
WE used Edward Fox for both our photos and our video.
Although we couldn't afford the full day video, (not due to their price, their prices were HIGHLY comparable for our area) the video of our ceremony was AMAZING, he even did a few shots of us afterwards that were just neat to have!
Our photographer again he was also GREAT! Not once did I feel like I had a camera in my face, but yet we still got a lot of important shots. We love our pciture and have ALMOST 500 to look through!! We can not wait to have our cd and begin printing!!
Todd R. Ganek was our photographer through Edward Fox, he was absolutely amazing! He went above and beyond what a photographer should do and helped make our day so much better than I could have ever imagined! Simply Amazing, would recommend Todd and Edward Fox to anyone! You will not be disappointed, especially since they are one of the more reasonable photography companies around without spending thousands of dollars!
David Loeb was our photographer. He was on time, organized and took chagre of the picture taking. He was able to get all of the shots i wanted plus more. He was open to suggestions and worked well with everyone. He was creative and had a good eye for the photos. I would recommend him to anyone.
I feel badly about writing a negative review but considering that I now have $3k worth of wedding photos that I can't stand I felt I had to. Let me start off by saying that I am very laid back and reasonable; qualities that seem to have failed me here.
Our wedding day was beautiful outside but you would have no idea from our photos because we really don't have any pics outside. We spent over 3 hours inside taking pictures even though the ouside was just as scenic an nice. I have no pictures with my brothers or parents at our reception and i later learned that the photographer refused to take a group shot of my close friends at the reception because he had "strict orders" to only take pictures of full tables and there were some people not present for the shot (he did not have strict orders on anything). I have 0 pictures of some of my good friends and the whole point of taking table shots is to try to get everyone. The pictures he did take were not flattering and I'm not sure how to choose any for our album. There are maybe 3 or 4 pictures that are okay. I'm dreading having to go back and look at them.
I will say that he did get a few nice pictures of the venue itself, as long as no people were in the shot.
I don't even know how to go on with this review - there were several other things that I was disappointed with.
My advice is to only get a photographer through the referral of a friend and not to bank on a company having several years of experience choosing photographers.
We haven't gotten our pictures back yet, but our photographer Jenny Fontaine was great! She was a pleasure to spend 10 hours with - very upbeat but also didn't get in the way of important moments. Worked with us and was courteous to all of our friends and family (which you don't even realize how important that is until wedding day). And, I saw some of her pictures throughout the day- they looked great!
Prior to our recent wedding, my husband and I were looking for a great photographer for a reasonable price. We just wanted great images to remember our wedding day and access to those images via the proofs on a CD. We weren't looking for all the albums, prints, etc. Our expectations were surpassed when we received the 800+ pictures from our wedding day - they are gorgeous! Artistic, beautiful, contemplative and comprehensive! The price was competitive, too. Best money we spent on the whole wedding, by far.
Edward Fox has been great to work with so far. Our photographer Chris Cote (Milwaukee branch) is AMAZING. Fun and talented. He was always smiling at the wedding and everyone loved him :). I cannot wait to see the final results. I can only imagine them being perfect since the wedding day was just that!
Absolutely amazing! Beyond excellent quality for a great price. The photographer, Rion, was on time, dressed appropriately, and captured our wedding day splendidly. Couldn't be happier with our pictures
My parents used Edward Fox for their wedding photographer 33 years ago. They highly recommended the company and I understand why. Brenda in the Schaumburg office took time to explain all the packages and was very patient while we decided. She has also been available to answer any and all questions we had. Todd Ganek was our photographer. He was very professional. Additionally, he was willing to meet with us face to face before the wedding which is not commonly done but something we requested. The photos look amazing from what I have seen so far!
The sales rep for our area was great to work with, immediately answering calls or emails and always having the answers to my questions. We requested David Loeb as our photographer and he did an outstanding job! Beautiful work!
Ask for Tunwa! He is the best and see if he will bring his infared camera. This camera takes the most unique photos. If you are having an outdoor wedding with trees in the back ground this is a must!
We were so excited to get the dvd and relive all the events of our wedding day/night. Overall I would rate it a 3/5. But... Unfortunately, some of the most important songs/dances were cut out of the video and there was a lot of choppiness between dances. Also, the videographer seemed to focus on specific guests out on the dance floor instead of getting a variety (at least on our edited copy that's what it seems like.)
We put together our own slide show for the wedding (for free) and felt like our slide show quality was better than the one in this dvd with our photos in the beginning. The transitions are wavy/blurry/and jumpy.
The dvd of the ceremony in many parts appears blurry on our LED tv with poor muffled spotty audio. The other camera was set up at an angle pointing only at the bride...( so the groom, groomsmen, and grooms guests in the church are not in any of those scenes.) The same angle had the flowers blocking the pastors face as well. Wish the videographer would've asked the church coordinator what the best angle would have been to set up the stationary camera.
We did receive all the live footage from the night...but we don't own a video camera that plays those kinds of tapes that it was recorded on to view it.
On a bright side....our videographer was friendly and our dvd came promptly in the mail (less than a month after our wedding.)
My wife and I got married on June 23rd, 2012. At the ceremony, the photographer Paul Lavere, was 45 minutes(!) late to our wedding. My bride has no pictures of her and her dad walking down the aisle at all. At the location where we took our bridal party pictures, Paul Lavere was 25 minutes late and we only had the location for a hour so it was a quick 35 minute shoot. No pictures with my mom at all, who does that? So, after that, at the reception, there were no pictures with my mom and I or any of my family. We literally had to walk around and find him to take pictures. He's a photographer, that's his job! Just a horrible job and we are still angry a month later!
Photographer was early and was amazing during the whole day/evening. I would recommend them to everybody
My photographer, Tiffany, was outstanding. I thought she did a great, GREAT job getting us where we needed to be to have fabulous pictures. Definitely recommend this company - great value! I used for both photography & videography.
When I initially contacted Edward Fox, I had a good, professional feeling from them immediately. They were great to work with. We used David Loeb and his pictures were amazing! David's pictures were beautiful and unique to our venue! I don't feel like we had the same pictures as my other friends at their weddings. He had great time management and helped us get through our wedding day. I think another reviewer said he is part photographer and part wedding coordinator, which was absolutely true. We haven't received our wedding album yet, but I am looking forward to it since everything else with Edward Fox has been professional and well done. Thanks David!
