The team at Elegant Events Florist were the most kind, attentive and tireless professionals that I've worked with. Ms. Sheila and Ms. Melissa came together to help my daughter find the most incredible florals that I've seen at a wedding. Since the wedding, I have had so many people in attendance, as well as those that have seen pictures we've shared, comment that the flowers were so beautiful and full that they looked artificial! That is a testatment to the amazing staff that took my daughter's vision, tweaked it using a bit of my input, to create a "take your breath away" floral design. From the deconstruced arch, to the elegant sweetheart table, to the candle wall, to the table settings, every detail was superb. The personal florals were equally as elegant and refined. My daughter's wedding bouquet was perfect with her gown, as well as the bouquets for the bridesmaids and the two mothers; the groom, his groomsmen and the two dads had boutonniéres that complemented their tuxedoes as elegantly as the ladies' bouquets. The biggest mistake of my wedding planning experience was hiring Sheila Corbett and trusting her with the floral vision of our wedding. Despite many conversations and sharing our feedback with her multiple times, many elements that we said we did not like or wanted to see changed ended up in the floral arrangements on our wedding day. I was so disappointed when I saw all of the arrangements her team created, except my bouquet and the bridesmaids bouquets. She contracted with Nisha from LAX States to create the Mandap for our Indian wedding and we were incredibly disappointed with the final product. The Mandap swayed dangerously during the ceremony and the furniture that we rented through them sunk during the ceremony. We never had the opportunity to speak with the Mandap designer directly, and Sheila never shared her information with us. Sheila did not take our feedback throughout the planning process into account, did not clearly communicate with us throughout the experience working with her and did not share critical limitations of our design and budget until AFTER our wedding when we did a review that took nearly a month after our wedding day to schedule. In that review, it was clear that she didn't listen or retain the feedback that we provided her throughout the design process, and was not receptive to our feedback or took sincere accountability for her mistakes. I've connected with recent brides of Sheila's upon sharing my experience in other forums and they have unfortunately shared similar experiences. Sheila was the most difficult vendor to work with out of my vendor team and I hope that sharing these thoughts prevents other couples from going through the same (expensive) disappointment that we did. *The responses noted in this review accurately reflect this business practices that we experienced with this vendor

We could not have been more happy with the flowers and decor for our recent wedding at Cairnwood Estate and Hope Lodge. One month later and guests are still commenting on how beautiful our florals were , especially cascading the staircase in the grant foyer of our venue. My bouquet, our centerpieced, our ceremony design was exactly as I imagined and this team brought it to life perfectly. We also used this team to design an outside lounge which was also one of my favorite parts of our special day.

I had the pleasure of hiring Elegant Events to do Florals for my July wedding! I was extremely pleased with the outcome and really Sheila did an amazing job. Everything turned out beautifully!! We had some minor communication scuffles during the course of planning where I had concerns about the transparency of invoicing as I tried to figure out how to cut back on my cost, however in the end with the exceptional quality of florals she produced in the end I was beyond pleased. Maybe it was misunderstanding of how much I actually wanted to cut back because the quality in the end was more than I was planning for and the pricing was beyond reasonable! Sheila takes great pride in the work she does and is very talented and that will shine through on your wedding day.

My husband and I didn't have much of a vision for our wedding florals beyond color, yet through thoughtful conversations and sheer intuition, Sheila was able to transform the few ideas we shared into stunning arrangements that reflected our style and heightened the romance of the day. What's more, Sheila helped us design a gorgeous arrangement on a circular wooden arch for what would have been our outdoor ceremony, had it not ended up raining all day. Instead, her quick-thinking team moved the arch into the plan B space -- a cozy historic barn on the property -- where it created a show-stopping and unexpected (yet somehow intentional-looking) backdrop for some of the most special moments of the day, not to mention numerous photos. Three months later, and guests are still raving about how beautiful and unique the florals were, while I relive them nearly daily through our photos and videos. Sheila communicated well with me throughout the planning process which was helpful in allowing my vision come to life. However, on the day of my wedding all the bouquets and boutonnières were forgotten. They did not arrive until 20 minutes before the ceremony began so I did not have any of my flowers for my photos with my bridesmaids, individual bridal photos and family photos. It added a lot of extra stress hoping they’d arrive on time for the ceremony. The wristlet flowers for the mothers/grandmothers were not the color of the flowers that we had discussed. Therefore they did not match the dresses as planned. We had also agreed that some of the centerpieces would start outside and line the aisle at the ceremony location, which did not happen. Therefore there was nothing lining the aisle. All in all the flowers were beautiful and I was pleased however, not everything was executed as discussed which was disappointing.

We approached this wedding as complete novices, never having had a family member stage a formal wedding. Donielle connected us to a group of wonderful vendors - the servers, DJ, and photographer were all great; the photographer was especially helpful in developing our wedding-day timeline. We were especially impressed with Sheila’s design team. Sheila did a great job translating a few Pinterest photos and virtual conversations into a gorgeous venue. She truly exceeded our expectations. Kudos to the flexibility of the team and the venue as we had a day-of switch from exterior to interior ceremony location without compromising the design. Ultimately, a good time was had by all.

Sheila and her team were able to completely transform the event space and truly brought our vision to life. They were also very judicious with resources and found ways to reuse décor from the ceremony for the reception and were willing to make other adjustments along the way to accommodate our budget.

Elegant Events Florists was accommodating towards our tight budget, extremely friendly, and responded quickly to concerns or questions I had leading up to our wedding day. Others required a minimum before even inquiring, and I appreciated how accommodating and understanding they were while also not making us feel like we *had* to spend extra money. Once I explained and showed pictures of my vision, they broke down everything by cost and options of different florals. I appreciated the breakdown because this was not my field of expertise, and it showed that I could really trust them. About a week before the wedding day the company reached back out to check in to make sure we had no second thoughts or extra questions. Upon our big day, arriving to the venue, the florals were already set up and it was everything we could have imagined and more. At the end of the night a member of the florists team came to break down the remaining decorations. We were able to re-use pergola and table bouquets used in our ceremony for our reception, which I appreciated because I did not want to just use the florals once in our wedding. Overall, we could not recommend going with Elegant Events Florists enough because of the excellent communication throughout the beginning to the end, the accommodation of our budget, the trust they always assured us of, and the execution on our wedding day.

I was not even sure where to start when it came to picking a florist or flowers. I was also planning my Philly wedding from across the country. When it comes to hiring a florist for your wedding, I can't recommend Sheila more highly! I was shocked at some of the floral quotes I received from other shops, but from my first conversation with Sheila I knew she was the right person for the job. She worked comfortably within our budget and was so friendly and easy to work with! We got tons of compliments on our flowers and the two centerpieces I took home lasted more than 10 days. Shelia was truly a dream to work with. We went into our initial meeting with just a vague idea of what we wanted and therefore had to rely heavily on her for her expertise. We were not disappointed. Sheila is the sweetest person and she did a beautiful job on my bouquet, my bridesmaids bouquets and our wedding arch. My bridesmaids were all different colors and she customized each bouquet to complement their dress color and coordinated the boutonnieres for the groomsmen too. The arch was gorgeous and full of different colored roses to match my bridesmaids and she even included my favorite flower, sunflowers in the arch and the bouquets. My bouquet had blue orchids in it and stargazer lillies and it was beautiful, she made it look like naturally picked wildflowers with a cascading look, it was lovely. She also offered services to rent items like cake stands, table runners, etc but we already had most of that by the time we met with her so we didn't utilize this but I thought it was wonderful she had that option. She really could help you decorate everything from your ceremony to your reception and she was wonderful at understanding just what my vision was and did a beautiful job. I would highly recommend Sheila and her team for your wedding!

Run, ladies. The flowers that were discussed, agreed upon and paid in full up front were not at all what were delivered. The flowers themselves were wrong, even the ribbon was wrong. My bouquet was about a third of the size that I had discussed with her, and on top of that her communication was terrible. She emailed me a week before the wedding to tell me she couldn't get the flowers I had wanted- fine, no big deal, but she wanted to substitute much less expensive flowers with no mention of refunding me the difference in price. I had to ask for it. I had to email her again the day before the wedding to find out if she'd gotten the original flowers or not. When they were delivered, I contacted her again regarding the fact that the flowers were wrong- I'd asked for white roses, the ones we received were purple, and the lily of the valley were brown. I'd asked for floor length white ribbon to wrap the bouquets, and got some odd, sheer cream color. She never had the decency to respond.

Working with Elegant Events and Sheila especially was such as easy and fun process. I shared some photos and ideas with Sheila and she easily captured my ideas into floral designs. She had no problem working within my budget and made it very clear that regardless of my budget, she would not down play my bridal bouquet as it was my special day:) She was very easy to communicate with and through their software program, I always had the most up to date proposal, as I made changes to my requests several times throughout the process. The flowers were delivered to the hotel and venue on time and were absolutely beautiful!!! I loved my bridal bouquet and the bridesmaid flowers added so much to their look! I could not have asked for a better florist than Sheila as she captured my floral wedding vision and made it a reality!!

Elegant Events was great! The best part of their service (besides the beautiful flowers and arrangements)was that they set up all of our table decorations. We simply dropped all our inventory off at their store along with a description of how things should be arranged, and they took care of it day of! I used Elegant Events for both their design services and day of coordinating. I'm not really into flowers so didn't know much about what to use for my centerpieces. Sheila helped me to decide what flowers would best meet my vision and they looked great at the wedding! The bouquets were beautiful as well. She was very easy to work with and never once seemed frustrated with my many changes/updates. I also worked with Donielle for the day of coordinating. At first I was not going to go with a day of coordinator as I thought my venue would take care of those things. Well I'm glad that Sheila and Donielle made me second guess this decision because Donielle was great and I couldn't imagine my day without her. She was so on point. She came to my house to go over the timeline of events, contacted all my vendors to get all the logistics situated, and my day went so smoothly because of her. Some of my guests even asked for her contact information because of how well she handled everything. Thank you both for all you've done for us!

I do not even know where to start...Donielle is second to none! She was excellent when dealing with two crazy families becoming one!! Whenever there was an issue she had several different solutions with how to solve the problem. My sister was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer 3 months before the wedding and she took all of the stress off my family and I walked in to my dream wedding and was able to really enjoy the day while the team took care of all the details. There are no words to describe the kind of gratitude I have for this entire company but especially Donielle. She works hard and is always available (even in the middle of the night).
