d us after the trial and offered to do another trial for the bride, but not the mother of the bride, and never refunded the cost of the trial for the mother of the bride. The next issue was Emily only scheduled 3 artists for 11 people. Despite communicating to her the number of people and time needed to be ready well in advance, she would not add an additional artist. She did agree to have her artists start earlier so our timeline would work, but that meant we had to start at 6 am. Not ideal for anybody. The final issue was a severe lack of professionalism with Emily. She was slow to respond and very rude in almost every interaction. Her artists were professional, incredibly kind and made sure everything went smoothly on the wedding day, but Emily caused a lot of stress leading up to the wedding.

a different hair and makeup stylist for your wedding. I will say that I love how my makeup looked and my mom also loved how her makeup turned out. Maddie was so easy to work with and wonderful. However, the unprofessionalism that occurred during the planning process caused a lot of stress. Emily attempted to change my contract without my knowledge and attempted to convince me that it was the original contract I signed. luckily I was able to find the original and prove that I did not owe her an additional $300. I also had a hair trial before the big day and the hair artist burned my hair so badly that I took pictures and videos to send to Emily in an attempt to rectify the situation and to ask for hair products to try to repair the hair. I was really upset because I had to cut several inches off my hair and was worried about how it would look on my wedding day. I NEVER received an apology or suggestions on how to repair it and instead was told that the hair artist was not comfortable working with me (as if I was the one who burned my hair off???), so she assigned someone else to me for my wedding day. She also was consistently unprofessional in her email responses and has yet to respond to my last email with this feedback included.

It was wonderful to not have to worry about our timeline and made for a stress-free getting ready experience! We all looked beautiful for our photos and throughout the night. My makeup/hair lasted through me crying several times during the ceremony and dancing all night long. Highly recommend!

She got to know me and understood what I wanted so quickly and with ease. Beyond that, she was so much fun to talk to and even helped pin up loose ends of my hair. Chelsea truly went above and beyond and everyone who has had her can relate! My makeup was perfect and lasted throughout my entire wedding day (even in 90 degree weather). Madison helped do my bridal party’s makeup and all of my girls had nothing but amazing things to say about her as well! I would give 10 stars if I could for this makeup group!!

Rylee and Shanice were also artists for our wedding and were talented and easy to work with. The team showed up on time, stayed on schedule, and made each girl or mother feel beautiful. Our hair and make-up also made it through a 12 + hour day and sweating through photos outside. I absolutely recommend this vendor for any bride in the St. Louis area.

Then she surprised me again, she had done more research on the specific braid I wanted and she PERFECTED her art of hair styling :) I would have cried happy tears if she hadn't just done my make up!

On the day of, Lindsey and Jordan were awesome to work with - friendly, efficient, and everyone loved them. They did a wonderful job on me, my bridesmaids’, and my mom’s makeup. Everyone looked beautiful. My mom has mature skin and doesn’t wear makeup much. Her makeup turned out amazing, and she got a ton of compliments that night. Highly recommend!

Same goes for Emily T! Not very good at describing what I want but she totally brought my vision to life. Both hair and make up lasted the entire night as well! They really went above and beyond and did all the little things to make it perfect. Even my particular mother loved her hair and make up! My whole wedding party was also executed flawlessly and everyone stayed on schedule despite the large group we had!

I loved the braided touches that were added with my curls. She had many suggestions of styles to try when I brought in sample pictures. Emily was very timely with responding to emails and phone calls to answer questions and plan. If you want a stress free experience for hair and makeup, definitely go with Emily Miller’s team.

s, LOVED their hair and makeup. The biggest selling point to me personally was how they made me look "natural." By this I mean, I do not wear make up every day, and when I do I certainly do not wear a ton. So I have to admit this was the one vendor I was nervous about finding because a lot of artists like to "cake on" make up nowadays. When I met with Maddie for my trial run, she was super receptive to my "natural" look request and beyond exceeded my expectations for my dream wedding-day-look. I had a few other girls in my wedding party that do not wear a lot of makeup and were nervous about getting their makeup done for the same reasons as I, so after my trial run I reassured them I did not come out looking porcelain and it eased their nerves and they absolutely loved their make up! Sheana did my hair, and I absolutely love how it turned out!! I do not know a lot about hair.. so she was so patient with me and suggested styles that would be perfect for me and she was right! My hair also never fell throughout my wedding day, and it was windy and cold, and this was awesome!! She did a phenomenal job and I loved my hair!! They were open to everyones specific ideas they brought for their hair, and they knocked it out of the park.

s booked with a different MUA in STL who I ended up cancelling with because she no-showed me on my trial appointment - as you can imagine, this caused me a lot of stress being an out-of-town bride, it was literally the only time I was able to do a trial before my wedding. In hindsight, this was a blessing in disguise because I then found Emily and her team and was able to schedule a trial with Sheana literally 2 DAYS before my wedding! Sheana, Maddie, and Chelsea did hair and makeup for me, my 5 bridesmaids, and my mom. They all did so wonderful - they were on time, listened to what we wanted, and made us all feel so beautiful. Not to mention they were also so sweet, easy to talk to, and fun to work with! We did have Chelsea come back to do touch-ups before the ceremony which was nice - one small little hiccup was she asked me for payment after the touch-ups were done and I simply let her know I pre-paid for everything through Emily and to check with her - if it wasn't paid for then she can reach out to me and I will make sure to get it handled. This was a little stressful because it was like 30 minutes before I was about to walk down the aisle so it was the absolute last thing on my mind. BUT, it was handled just fine, and she let me know that she would talk to Emily. Overall we had a great experience with Emily and her team and I would totally recommend them!!

nd Nikki— you guys are amazing! I felt so beautiful! My biggest problem was working with Emily. She cancelled my makeup artist not once, but twice, two weeks before my wedding. (I booked a year and a half in advance, and I already had paid for a makeup trial with my original artist. She provided a free trial with my new artist, whose style wasn't a good fit for my taste.) She did book me a new makeup artist, however, she was very difficult to get ahold of. Email or text, it was a struggle to reach her. She is a wonderful person, very kind, but professionally, I was so disappointed with how much added stress it was when trying to work with her. I felt unimportant like "just another bride". I truly had no idea if anyone was going to show up on the day of the wedding because she was so wishy-washy with everything. I would not recommend Emily for your wedding. Her artists however, are fantastic and wonderful!

It was in the middle of COVID, so of course I was understanding. However, her communication was not always the most professional. Also, she had backed out of my wedding. Then a few weeks later, she said that she could do it again. Then she cancelled the week of. Again, it was during COVID so I tried to be very flexible and understanding! But this caused us to start getting ready an hour and a half earlier than what was originally planned because we went from 4 HMU artists to 3. Again, it was fine and we went with it and LOVED who we had! Also - Emily is not the most warm and fuzzy personality. When I finally had my bridal trial, I felt a little intimidated. Some of her first words to me at my trial were comments about my natural hair and skin that seemed unprofessional and unnecessary. We only talked about things that she needed to know for the wedding. There was no warm welcome or extra chit-chat. I’m only saying this because I want brides to know what to expect. I truly did not expect this from a highly renowned wedding HMU artist! However, I did LOVE her work and the end result of my trial. Overall, I would definitely hire them again - but I would not go out of my way to specifically ask for Emily. Her team members were absolutely amazing!!

The quality of the products used, and their aversion to fragranced products also ensured that my skin did not freak out after the event. I cannot recommend her team more highly.
