m for our engagement shoot and on the wedding day which made for a really comfortable experience. I was truly conflicted about giving Tolman a low rating as I didn’t want to impact Blake and Hannah- who were great. Following our wedding day, all the photos and videos are submitted back to Tolman for editing and delivery. The contract states that those will be delivered 30 business days following our wedding date, with delays possible due to high volume (understandable). We received our photos within the timeframe and were told the video should not be too far behind. Thus begins a months long saga of trying to get our video from Tolman. I waited quite a while for them to send our video or at least communicate and ETA, with no success. In September I contacted our representative asking about the video. She got back to me letting me know that due to some internal changes there were communication issues that caused my video to be delayed, she assured me that the video would be prioritized and submitted within a week or so. After nearly two weeks, I contacted them again asking about the video. We received it in early October. I started to watch it only to find that the music selection was incorrect. I contacted Tolman again, but this time I did not get a swift response. We submitted emails for a few weeks, our wedding planner (who is no longer contractually obligated to work on our behalf) had even begun to contact Tolman as well. We weren’t able to get an email response or get through to anyone with the phone numbers that were provided. I eventually got connected with someone after sending a DM over Instagram. At this point, we felt like we would just prefer to get a refund for that part of our services. I talked to someone who connected me with Sam, District Event Specialist. Sam was very kind and assured me that he would work to get our video corrected. He let me know that the video had been submitted to editors in Ukraine and Pakistan but was experiencing some delays there. I let Sam know that we were still interested in pursuing a refund, but was told that was not likely due to a line in our contract that delays due to high volume were possible. I let him know that we were told it was organizational and communication issues that contributed to the delay, not high volume. As of late November, we have received our video. The music is corrected, but I’ll be honest the whole experience has left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. I am usually a very patient and understanding person and in this case, I believe I had been. We should have received our deliverables in late July at the latest, but I gave the company until September before I began contacting for updates. All that to say, Tolman does offer great prices and can connect you with good local talent, but my experience working with them after that was quite tough. I wouldn’t recommend working with Tolman now that I have had this experience. I acknowledge this is not likely everyone's experience so read plenty of reviews and make sure that you can contact their team easily should you move forward with them.

he wedding (we booked them a year in advance) and he arrived late, didn't seem to look at our detailed timeline at all and therefore missed our first look, and was among the first to grab a dinner plate and SEAT for the 1.5 hr dinner during which he did NO work so there was no footage of our dinner setup on the beach, sunset on the beach, 3 out of 4 toasts, the string lights on the beach or any guests during dinner. When we asked for compensation since he spent 1.5hrs of his 6hr booking eating with our guests, the manager replied that our media would be expedited for free and we'd receive it within 7 days. One FULL month after our wedding, we still had not received anything and we asked again for compensation. At this point, the manager replies that everything had been ready over a week ago and because technically it had been expedited but we simply had not received it, we would not receive any compensation. While we knew the video would be lackluster since the videographer missed chunks of important footage, he told us he didn't have a drone or even a flash for night time footage, we had higher hopes for the photos. No such luck - they slapped the same filter on all the photos, didn't edit out anything - not even the sand flies on my sparkly white dress - and everyone looked 8 shades darker in the indoor photos, looking almost orange like we all had bad spray tans. They were an absolute headache and I really don't want any other couples going through our ordeal. I'd highly recommend you spend your money elsewhere and book another company.
