**POST WEDDING REVIEW**
Overall, the experience with Ever After Farms was really good. The venue is truly beautiful and well kept and it’s a reasonable price if you plan on taking advantage of and using some of the many decor options they have....
There’s a few things to know about the venue:
1. The bridal suite really isn’t very big for an entire bridal party to get ready in. If you have a large wedding party, plan on getting ready somewhere else if you’re on a strict timeline because space is limited.
2. You only get the venue for 10 hours on the day of the wedding. If you plan on utilizing the bridal suite to get ready, plan on paying extra for an additional 2 hours. BUT tours will still be happening during those hours. On my wedding day, it was quite windy and tours coming in and out of the venue were accidentally blowing table settings around indoors. ALSO, this isn’t a huge deal for a summer wedding, but in the fall the 10 hours (access at noon) means you have less than 4 hours to set up and get ready before a ceremony before sunset happens. Not including before photos.
3. They do not include a Day of Coordinator. If you were planning on not having one, it’s a necessity (and yes my wedding was on a tight budget). It’s not a big deal that it’s not included, but it’s just something to note so that you know to factor that in!
4. The venue is in a REALLY small town! It creates a great country atmosphere. If you aren’t picky about hotels, there’s a couple within 15 minutes, but if you want to stay somewhere really nice as a wedding night treat, plan on driving 30-45 minutes to New Smyrna or Cocoa Beach.
5. Your rehearsal will be on a Thursday because they have weddings Fri-Sun. Our rehearsal time got double booked on accident somehow.
6. I really really wish they had a TRUE list of items at the venue you can use. They have most of the table decor listed, but a lot of little things (the window frame used for table assignments, the welcome to our wedding sign, unplugged ceremony sign, etc) were left out online prior to my wedding. I wasn’t sure what all I needed until our walk-through a month in advance.
7. The staff is SUPER NICE and they are typically very fast at responding to emails and texts with questions!
8. The bathrooms and basically the whole venue is handicap accessible, this is especially important for elderly family members!
9. Many venues with an outdoor ceremony site under a tree have the ceremony quite a walk from the actual reception area (rough on elderly family). Here, it is RIGHT next to it, literally 10 steps away. It’s fantastic.
10. Not having a requirement as to who to use for catering made things very easy for us and we were able to choose an affordable option that was also the talk of the town (thanks Mission BBQ).
11. They are ALWAYS adding new things! When I booked, the brick path, frosted greenery, and string lights outside weren’t there! It was so exciting seeing all the additions they kept doing that made the venue better and better.
12. The photo booth is SO worth it! Our guest book is filled with images of loved ones literally having the time of their lives, and they got more and more drunk as the night went on. The photos are hilarious.
OVERALL, the venue is absolutely gorgeous. On a small &tight budget it can be pricey, BUT buying decor really isn’t needed so that is a huge savings! The staff is kind and helpful, especially on the day of. I would book them all over again if I could do it over!
