I love the ladies at fair lady bridal! When searching for a wedding dress I went to at least 10 (maybe more) different shops including Fair Lady Bridal. However, Fair Lady Bridal Shoppe didn't have the dress I really wanted, but they could orde...
r it and so could a lot of other shops. However, I picked Fair Lady Bridal even though it was a lot farther from my house than other shops (like 45-50 min drive farther) because of how wonderful they treat their customers. When I was in the shop trying on dresses they were friendly and professional, it was clear that I was their focus, and they weren't pushy about just trying to make a sale like a lot of other places were. Plus my favorite part was that it felt like I was part of the family. Trying on dresses at some other stores felt like a daunting task that I was getting tired of doing trying to find the right wedding dress, but at Fair Lady Bridal even though they didn't have my dress was fun and exciting working with the ladies there. They were responsive to my questions, helped me learn to walk in the dress (which no one else had), continuously switched out veils and jewelry, chatted with my mom and I, and gave friendly advice. This isn't like going to Davids Bridal where they have hundreds of dresses to pick from, but they do have a range of different styles of wedding dresses as well as bridesmaids, and mothers dresses. Also, If they don't have the dress you want they can order it! When my dress came in, a lot quicker than I was told it would, my mom brought in a little champagne toast to celebrate!
My dress was already the perfect length for me when ordered and I only needed one little alteration were the straps met the dress by my armpit, it kind of bunched out a little bit and looked funny. She did a great job fixing it and it looked great and fit comfortably the entire night! I also ended up getting my veil and necklace from them as well. I showed up for my final fitting the day before my wedding with a necklace I had bought and thought would look good with the dress, it did not! Thank god they had some cute pieces in the shop for me to choose from and saved the day! Now that my wedding is over and I need my dress cleaned I could take it anywhere and probably a lot closer to my house, but I still choose to bring it all the way to the ladies at Fair Lady Bridal Shoppe (they have someone they work with for cleaning and preserving), because they are just so lovely to work with and be around. I cant say enough good things about them and their shop. I am beyond happy that I found them for my wedding dress and I cant say thank you enough for all of their help in turning this tomboy into a beautiful princess for a day!

m. We found the most beautiful dresses! Ordering and sizing was easy- the owner Sandy- insisted all girls go up a size regardless of their measurements due to their busts. Dresses arrive and they are SWIMMING- on every single girl- two of which it just fell right off them- all 4 of the other girls had to each get them taken in. Which they "darted". The darting was so sloppy and gave one such a bad shape we had to get it completely redone by a whole different seamstress (after all alterations were already paid for- we could NOT afford to pay them to butcher this dress anymore- along with a crooked hem (along with 2 of the other girls dresses), straps that weren't in the same place, that were VELCROED to the back because "there wasn't any other way for her to get the dress on if it was crisscrossed". Instead of letting her know they were going to STICK ADHESIVE VELCRO CIRCLES on a FORMAL GOWN- she was surprised after the fact that she got it on over her head without undoing the tacky velcro. (which we told the shop she would've gone with a different strap choice if we would've known they were going to be Velco)I went the day we found out about the Velcro to see it for myself because my Maid of Honor was appalled... we made it very clear we were unhappy with the Velcro but they insisted that was the only way it could be done. The straps in the back of all dresses were closed up with white stitching- but were stitched onto the dress with the color thread matching the dress? As the day came for the wedding- extra fabric was sticking out of the back of one- another's strap was already unraveling... so I called again after the wedding- to tell them about the trouble with the dresses the day of- all my girls were disappointed- especially since all but one needed multiple alterations, I was basically told that they are not responsible for how the dress the altered are after they leave the shop, really? We have these problems right when the girls put them on, on the wedding day. I wouldn't recommend anyone to Fair Lady Bridal, since they do not stand by their work. Dress selection is beautiful but TAKE YOUR DRESS AND RUN!!!!!!!!!!

Do you mean Unfair Lady Bridal Shoppe ?

ch different builds and lucky for us(or so we thought) we found fair lady in Janesville which was super convienant being one of the closet bridal shops to all of us. Well we found the most amazing dresses there and the staff seemed very helpful and friendly. The lady who fitted me for my dress(THE OWNER)told me I needed to go up a dress size because of my chest size so I figured she knew better than I did and I trusted her. Finally our dresses were in so I went down the get fitted and have straps added to my dress(all bridesmaids did this). She told me I needed a hem and to add the straps and that was all which was a little concerning to me because the top was so large so I asked her and pointed out how the top was way too big and she insisted that the straps would correct everything once again she's the professional and she should know better than me( STILL THE OWNER). After a few weeks the bride got the call that our dresses were ready so I made the 30 minute drive to go get my dress and they told me it wasn't ready and that it hadn't been pressed yet. I was pretty irritated but figured oh well and then I asked to try on my dress because I hadn't since the alterations were done. I put the dress on and still I was swimming in the top and the best part she didn't sew in my straps on the back of the dress she put VELCRO in!!! I brought in the lady to show her how large the top was and she completely agreed (this is not the owner). So once again my dress needed more alterations and if she wouldn't have made me order the dress a size bigger the top would've fit perfectly. They told me they had to add in darts in the top to take in the sides and charged me again for alterations and said they would call when it was done. It was completed later that week but I was out of town so the bride picked it up for me. When I got home from my trip I was so excited once again to see what my dress would look like properly fitting finally . I put on the dress and almost cried... the straps were still velcroed in, the straps were terribly off center and uneven, the dang hem was terrible( longer in the front than the back) and the darts were absolutely terrible they bowed out my whole top making me look like I had madonna boobs !!!! Keep in mind at this point I'm $90 into alterations and my best friends wedding is a week away. Lucky for me my best friend had a wonderful lady in Rockford who altered her dress so I took it to her to have all of my alterations realterated... this lady was completely blown away by the terrible job these "professionals" did...that's how amazing fair lady bridal is. So the bride called and asked I be reimbursed for my alterations because I had to pay to have someone correct all their mistakes and she completely dodged her phone calls and then finally a lady working there told her that a reimbursement check had already been sent out to me... that was a week ago there is still no refund and no return phone calls. I would never ever suggest that nightmare of a place to anyone. Every girls dress besides one that had no alterations had problems with them mine was just the most severe case. I almost spent more in alterations than I did on the dress itself! Stay away from Unfair lady bridal shop!

As soon as we tried on the dress we picked out, it was "the one." While I knew this, every employee there was called out to verify it and gave me nothing but support. I went to the Fair Lady Bridal Shoppe in Janesville on a recommendation from a friend who got her dress there. I'm so glad I did - they are wonderful!
They are very friendly. Its a family business and nothing like some of the big chain dress...
stores... They are kind and respectful and easy to work with. They helped me pick out the perfect dress and seemed to enjoy doing so :) They were great through all the fittings and I never once felt uncomfortable working with them when trying on the dresses.
They worked with me to make my dress fit just right, even having to take it in and shorten it as much as they did (I'm petite...).
The cost seemed reasonable and the work was high quality. Being a smaller business (compared to the giants like David's) they remembered me and which dress I had when I came in.
We also got the bridesmaids dresses from them, and again they were great to work with!
I highly recommend this dress shoppe! It was well worth the 50 min drive from where I live.
