We hired Fire for Hire Catering for our Wedding on September 23, 2017 and without a doubt it was the best choice for catering we could have made. Jeff and his team were absolute professionals and the service provided was top notch. Jeff always set our mind at ease letting us know we didn’t need to worry and he would make sure everything went to plan (he kept this promise). He helped plan a menu according to our taste, helped with timeline of the reception, and worked with my other vendors to make sure everything ran seamlessly. The day of the wedding the staff were so polite and worked tirelessly setting up all our tables, made sure everything ran smoothly and our guest had everything they needed. Last but far from least THE FOOD was just flat out AMAZING, INCREDIBLE, DELECTABLE, and every other adjective you can think of that describe food that is beyond yummy!! All our guest raved about the flavor, how everything was perfectly cooked and how beautifully everything was presented. I would highly recommend hiring Fire for Hire Catering for any event. Thank you, Fire for Hire for helping our wedding day be so Awesome!
Jeff and his crew seriously made our wedding. He is extremely professional, sincere, and of course amazing at his craft. The food, appetizers, and service are top notch. We look back and think how amazing our wedding was, and Jeff helped made that happen. I would not hesitate to recommend Jeff and his crew. Sincerely, Joey Dunton
Jeff is a miracle worker. He literally put me first in every step of planning and creating the food and atmosphere for our wedding. There were so many times when we'd hit stumbling blocks (bringing his team from Gilroy to Oakland, how we were going to serve the food in a small venue, even placing decor to the last minute) he was able to easily guide us to a fantastic decision and everything he touched felt like it was turning to gold. The food was the most reasonably priced we had found in the area. They did family style serving (large bowls handed to each table) which everyone loved and the FOOD was remarkable! Every person we polled after our wedding made a comment about how good the food was. They hadn't tasted anything like it! Every conversation over the phone was lighthearted and kind! He is a most genuine person and I'm so glad I was given a recommendation for him and would be proud to pass it along to anyone in need. Please hire him, you won't be disappointed!
I am a real foodie – I have over 700 reviews on Yelp, and believe me – the food at my wedding was VERY important to me - probably the single most important detail about my wedding that I wanted perfect. (so important in fact, that many of the photos on this site are of my wedding food b/c I specifically told my photographer I wanted photos of the food – that is my big mug chowing down on that slider!) I often find that wedding food can be hit or miss (who wants to be stuck at a table eating another chicken breast or piece of fish?). That was NOT my vision. We were having the wedding at my husband’s cousin’s house in Gilroy - she had recently been to a couple of events catered by Jeff, she likes good food, so I trusted her. What I wanted was “great party food” – my dream was all passed appetizers – just tons of them, served for a few hours – so many you didn’t need dinner. Jeff delivered on my dream and then some! We agreed on about 15 different kinds (plus a taco bar station) – and he threw in extras. The ones people are still talking about are the sliders and the baby lamb chops. The food was presented beautifully, and he took care of everything from the servers to cutting the cake. There was no tasting offered – but believe me, don’t sweat the wedding details, just hire him (chat with him on the phone a couple of times) and let him do his thing! And his per person price was VERY reasonable. I would have paid 50% more, but glad I didn’t have to.
