We were referred to this florist through the venue in which our wedding was being held. The centerpiece flowers of our choosing were included in the wedding package we selected from our venue. To be completely honest, it was an overall horrific... experience right from the very first meeting. We arrived and met with the owner, Sherry, who about five minutes into our appointment, stepped away into a separate room and proceeded to take a phone call lasting 15 to 20 minutes. When she finally returned, we began explaining to her our vision for the wedding. I am a fairly simple person, and knew right from the beginning of planning that I did not want an extravagant bouquet of any sort; instead I just wanted sunflowers, with nothing else. The owner immediately began trying to change my mind, stating that my "wedding would look better if..." and started showing me pictures of various other bouquets. Pretty stunned by her, to be blunt - rudeness, we explained that our entire wedding was going to be black and cream, and that the only color we wanted in the wedding was the pop of yellow from sunflowers and nothing else. We told her that what we wanted for my bouquet were 8 medium / large sunflowers and for the centerpieces we wanted 26 medium / large sunflowers (2 for each jar across 13 tables). Again, rudely, she responded by nonchalantly making multiple comments about how her "normal couples" buy way more flowers than "just this" for weddings.
Let's fast-forward! 48 hours before wedding, yes 48 hours, my husband received a phone call from Sherry stating that she ordered 4 small 2-inch sunflowers for my entire bouquet and 13 small 2-inch sunflowers TOTAL for the centerpieces along with greens. And that's it. My husband explain to her that none of that order was correct, especially the part about ordering greens as we had been extremely clear right from the beginning that sunflowers were to be the only flower and color across the entire wedding. I wish I was kidding when I say this, but unfortunately I am not, the owner's response was "well, don't you know they all have green stems and green is a color?" An absolutely disgraceful comment for an owner of any business to make to one of their customers, especially when the owner herself had made such a gigantic mistake in ordering what we asked for and PAID for in the first place.
After some back-and-forth phone calls, the owner finally told my husband that she had ordered extra two-inch sunflowers (30 to be exact) but that it would be OUR responsibility to pay for all of the extras. Disgusted by her blatant disregard for common courtesy and overall incompetency, we told her to forget our wedding completely and by incredible luck, found another amazing local florist who came through for us in less than 48 hours to deliver everything we had asked for and never received from this florist.
It was tough to just cut our losses, considering we had already paid for the bouquet/centerpiece flowers that we never received from this company; but it was well worth it to know that I would not have to be dealing with this woman and her disgusting customer service on the morning of my wedding.
I am not sure if this review will actually help anyone with contemplating decisions, but I wanted to make our atrocious experience known so that if we can help prevent even one more bride / groom from experiencing this, our hearts will feel at least a tiny bit more content about the situation.
