my guests doing karaoke and it looks like they had a blast! He made sure to play our first dance music as we had requested it and the Jewish songs as well for the Hora dance and the chair lift. He also did some great singing and guitar playing for us, he is very talented and our guests loved hearing him perform! He was also very affordable which we appreciate as wedding costs really do add up! I give my mom full credit, we saw him perform at Riverhead Ciderhouse years ago and she convinced me to ask him if he ever does weddings. We hope to see him perform again sometime! My friend got some great video of him singing Hallelujah.

a group that could play the most current to the most obscure songs we were at a dead end. Every band out there seemed to be older groups set in their ways. That was until we came across FME and the band So Was Red. Being that they were a younger group we were somewhat hesitant, but choosing this group was the best decision we made regarding our entire wedding. We met with the lead singers (Fred & Melody) and went over every step of how our wedding was going to go. They were very professional and very organized. The day of the wedding it was a great relief that all we had to do was enjoy our day, and not have to worry about anything other than that. The band ABSOLUTELY BLEW US AWAY. They played not only the songs we asked but also took requests, songs were dj'd, the lighting and set up was amazing! They played an acoustic cocktail hour and I had to explain to every table where we found the group. The M/C was another great surprise. He was not over bearing (maybe that was because the only time anyone sat down was to eat so he didn't have to work too hard to get people up, and even then people were dancing to the songs being sung/ dj'd) and everyone at the wedding complimented him for his professionalism. Our wedding was a very diverse group of guests ranging in age from 3 to 80 (mostly 20-30) and everyone heard songs that they enjoyed. That was something we thought would be the biggest obstacle. There is nothing better than a live band at a wedding, and FME was definitely the right choice. The only thing we heard from everyone who came to our wedding was how great the band was and can we get their phone number. There is no doubt in our mind that FME and So Was Red will continue to grow and become the most popular wedding entertainment around! Thank you guys for making our wedding so special and we look forward to having you guys at future functions.

it better than the original :)! There weren't any music breaks - on band breaks they were DJing. And as anyone will tell you the best sign of a great wedding party is a full dance floor - ours was almost a fire hazard it was packed with cheering, dancing party patrons (fans!). They are a little atypical in that they don't just sit back on the stage and play a standard play list... they came to our apartment and worked with us to come up with a song list and vibe that we wanted. We had people on stage singing along and playing the tambourine, etc... incredible!!! In addition to the wedding reception we also had them do our Friday night welcome party, our ceremony music and cocktail hour. I really don't know how they did it - they had to have different set ups for all of those different events and each one was OUTSIDE all over a huge private property with fairly limited infrastructure. No one was the wiser - the music was incredible the entire night. Just the right volume, just the right mix of old & new, classic & funky, DJ & live music. And as a bonus, they came to the local bar in town and played at our after party!!! it was quite a treat and even a few bar patrons who weren't part of our wedding stuck around to hear the music!! I honestly cannot recommend them enough. Fundamentally they are phenomenally talented, but on top of that they will really bend over backwards to make your wedding/event/party fun, easy and special. (Oh and even though they are based in Long Island, we had them come to Connecticut for the wedding - so they do travel!!) You absolutely will not be disappointed - I can't wait to have our next party so they can be part of it!! Thanks again guys!xo Jen+Dave
