The German American Club in Yardville, NJ (sometimes referred to as Trenton, but it is not in the city of Trenton) is a spacious reception hall for an excellent price. The first floor seats 150, with an upper balcony that seats another 75. Th...e food is okay, nothing gourmet, and plentiful. The dance floor is a really nice size. If you have a big guest list and small budget you might consider this reception hall.;First off, our last name is 13 letters and German - so the German coats of arms decor seemed like a quirky wink to my new surname than tacky. The reception hall doesn't look like much from the outside, but they do have a pavilion in the back for outdoor events (I've been there before graduation parties). The food is homey, with dishes like homemade Italian Wedding soup, but served family style (how does one serve soup family style? not easily!). This is not the place for brides to impress their friends with their fabulous wedding, but I'd say it's a great place for a party.
