Gidas made our floral dreams come true for our August wedding. Our flowers were absolutely stunning - they were everything we envisioned and more. Laurie was absolutely amazing to work with, every step of the way. 100/10 recommend working with Gidas!

Laurie and the team at Gidas were THE BEST to work with! From my very first communication with Laurie, I knew that we were in good hands. She answered all of our questions quickly, was always organized and professional, and was super patient with us throughout all of our edits to our original plan up until the big day (and there were quite a few...). When the flowers were delivered on the day of the wedding, they took our breath away! The expertise of this team was evident throughout all of our interactions with them. We can't thank Gidas enough for helping to bring our wedding vision to life and making our day so memorable and special!

Beautiful floral arrangements at a reasonable cost. I had no idea what I wanted other than a general color scheme, and the consultation appointment was so helpful. They offered ways to work with our budget, as well, which was appreciated. Great experience!

We had them do our wedding in a very short time since we were getting married quickly. They were efficient and never put any stress on me, all while being supportive and wonderful. When I went in for my consultations they were extremely helpful and made my decision making and job SO EASY! It was one of the best experiences I had throughout my wedding planning process. They were very receptive to my ideas and thoughts, while also giving options and their own expertise that would help bring my dream to life! After seeing the example centerpiece, and the flowers of the day of I was completely blown away. With very little direction from me and mainly just explaining what I wanted, they made my wedding look like a fairytale! They communicated with me frequently to make sure that we were on the same page and they had everything I wanted as well, which was nice to not have to worry about double checking with them myself! I would recommend them 10/10 times. Extremely easy to work with, high quality flowers, beautiful centerpieces and the kindest and most supportive people! They will make your dreams come true!

I really had no idea what I wanted to do with florals for the wedding but Laurie and her team were so great to work with. We were not living in Pittsburgh during our planning and she was always willing to hop on a FaceTime call to go over options for the florals and work with me on a vision. It ended up being exactly what I wanted and I would not have changed a thing! I had so many questions and adjustments throughout the process and they always helped me figure out the best option and were very quick to respond!

We had gone to a few flower vendors and this one was my favorite. I don't know much about flowers but I was able to go through choices and colors with Gidas and everything turned out amazing. I don't love driving/parking in oakland but everything else was great. I highly recommend this vendor.

Gidas made us the most beautiful floral arrangements for our wedding. I loved their inclusion of blue accent flowers in my primarily white bouquet for that hint of "something blue." We made changes to our floral order a few months before the wedding which they handled with ease. My bouquet lasted the entire day being taken in and out of water still looking fresh.

Gidas Flowers provided the florals for my April 2024 wedding and exceeded my expectations. The centerpieces at the reception were truly stunning and even more impressive than I imagined. My bridal bouquet in particular also exceeded expectations. It was beautiful and cascading. In addition to the flowers being perfect, the team was also very helpful. I knew nothing about flowers and they helped me make selections that would work well in the space and make the most of my budget. I knew I wanted white flowers, but my bridesmaids' dresses were also purple, so they suggested adding a slightly purple filler type plant. It was such a perfect touch having that attention to detail. Also, they helped me by suggesting blooms that would have the most impact but weren't always the most expensive where applicable. Essentially, they helped guide me to really make the best choices to make the most of my budget. They also were prepared with a nice sheet/ questionnaire about which flowers I'd need (altar arrangements, parent / grandparent, etc) so I did not have to worry about forgetting things. They were very easy to work with, as after our initial meeting I did change my mind and want to add a few more things. I will always remember seeing my reception room for the first time and being floored by the gorgeous centerpieces.

When looking for a florist for our wedding, we wanted to find someone who was going to offer a more personalized experience. Laurie was very helpful throughout the whole planning process and gave recommendations on what would look the best. Gidas produced incredible florals at my wedding. It took a few phone meetings to get my vision across, but Amy took charge and really took the time to understand what I wanted. I didn’t have the typical idea of white roses and greenery like most modern brides. I wanted to bring a tropical twist to the Burgh and they said they really enjoyed my idea because it wasn’t something they get to do all the time. The quality of the florals were exquisite and they lasted all day (we did a first look and photos before the 6pm wedding). The reception/dinner space ended up being more incredible than I imagined. Gidas is super clear and upfront on pricing which is very important to me. My only constructive criticism is that when it came to ceremony arrangements they prefer to stay on the more classic and conservative arrangements. Such as ones on pillars or attached to a hoop arch. I was told by them that they dont really do too many large or free standing structures with their arrangements—which is totally fine—but if that is something that you are looking for make sure to ask in advance to see if it can be done. Overall I would recommend Gidas!

We met with a number of floral vendors for our big day, but it was pretty clear right out of the gate that Gidas was the one we wanted to go with. Not downplaying anyone else, they were just that good! In our initial meeting they were able to build samples and paint us a really clear picture with ease and made visualizing the entire setup possible. They were communicative and great to work with from start to finish and helped things go off without a hitch even when we got a small curveball or two. They made everything work with our budget which was important and made the most of every element. At the end of the day, everything was absolutely lovely and the work they did helped to elevate every aspect of our wedding. Would 100% recommend to anyone out there looking for a wedding florist who gets it and knows how to take that special day to the next level.

We were so happy with how our wedding flowers turned out! We worked with Laurie and she was so helpful throughout the entire process. We were a little indecisive and she was very patient and provided us suggestions and options to stay within our budget which we really appreciated. We were able to see a sample of our centerpieces before the wedding day which was great to help us visualize how everything would look and led to us making a few tweaks that we are so glad we made! Although we were not local, Laurie was incredibly responsive via email, making the entire planning process a breeze. We couldn’t have been happier with the final product on our wedding day. I was blown away when we walked into the ceremony and reception rooms and saw everything together. The bouquets were beautiful, and the low dish-to-table rectangular centerpieces were absolutely stunning. We received so many compliments on the florals!

We are so impressed with Gidas and their service. We used them for both our ceremony and our reception, and the arrangements turned out perfect. The whole crew was very responsive and was good about following up with us on deadlines for making decisions and payments. Since I live out of town, Laurie was able to work in an in-person consultation for when I was visiting Pittsburgh. They were very honest in where we did not need many flowers and in what would look best in the venues we chose. I loved the look so much that I sent in some flowers to be preserved in glass so that we can put them in our new home. I would definitely recommend Gidas to anyone looking for floral for their wedding!

Gidas floral arrangements for our son's wedding was amazing. The floral arrangements for the church and venue were breathtaking and colorful. I made the wedding cake and I love the way Laurie did the floral design. What a compliment to my cake. Very elegant and just enough. The bride made the containers for the table centerpieces and Gidas did their magic and turned them into gorgeous table centerpieces. The bridesmaids bouquets were colorful. The flower girls loved their crowns and baskets. The sweetheart table was absolutely beautiful. We are so pleased with Laurie and her team. We received so many compliments. The communication was excellent, too. Questions were answered within 24 hours. Thanks so much for all that you do. I am so happy that I found Gidas on the Knot.

Gida's was so wonderful to work with. Throughout the wedding planning process, they were so communicative and accommodating – even with a bridal bouquet change the week of the wedding! Our wedding florals absolutely blew us away and looked even better than the inspo photos we had used. I cannot recommend them enough!

Gidas flowers did an amazing job with our daughter's wedding. Our daughter didn't know exactly what she wanted but she brought inspiration photos to the meeting and Laurie was able to find exactly the right style and vibe she was going for. In addition, our daughter did not live in Pittsburgh but the wedding was being held in Pittsburgh (our home town). Laurie did an excellent job of communicating through email and facetime to make sure our daughter felt included in every decision. We would absolutely use them again, especially for a large event that needed many hands. The ONLY negative thing I would say, and it won't be a negative for all but may impact someone's ability to hire them for a large event, they do not take credit cards for large orders. Cash or check is all that is accepted for events. I think they do accept credit cards for in store purchases etc, but for large events, it's cash or check. This wasn't an issue for us as we had our daughter's wedding budget in mind when we booked with them, but for others it might be an issue. Other than that, however, there was not a single thing I would want any different!

Gidas is AMAZING! Laurie was absolutely incredible to work with. She was great at communicating and making sure they did exactly what we wanted. She saw our vision and made it happen. I was so impressed from start to finish. Our flowers turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I am so grateful to the whole team!

Gida’s overall exceeded ALL expectations!!! The first consultation was amazing and Laurie explained / supported us with ideas , etc. The day of was EXCELLENT! Very organized and so beautiful! Clean up crew was such a relief after a long day/ night.

We picked Gidas to meet with because it was close to our ceremony venue. They did an absolutely amazing job. Laurie was able to look at a few inspiration photos and create my dream wedding bouquet. I got so many complements on my unique and absolutely stunning bouquet. I only wish it could last forever! They also worked with me to create bridesmaid bouquets, center pieces and a unity candle holder that were totally gorgeous and they were able to help me budget / pick cheaper types of flowers for other arrangements knowing I picked an extravagant bride bouquet. I cannot recommend them enough! They were so incredibly helpful!

I cannot recommend Gida’s enough! They provided flowers for our recent December wedding and I was ecstatic over how beautiful everything turned out (bouquets, centerpieces, flowers for our ceremony arch, etc). I was in communication with Laurie throughout the entire process and she was always quick to respond and so easy to work with. The price was also very reasonable for the quality of the work that they do. These guys are super professional and everything was delivered exactly as promised. Again, I can’t recommend Gida’s enough and would refer them to a family member or friend in a heartbeat.

When it came to choosing flowers for our wedding, my husband and I did not have any clue where to start. The best place to start is making an appointment with Laurie at Gidas Flowers. We shared our wedding colors and from there she led us through all of her suggestions for bouquets, boutonnières, corsages, centerpieces, etc. She built a customized contract/order detailing which flowers would fit best in each piece and provided the pricing. The whole experience was so straightforward and transparent (even for novices like us)! A few months before the wedding we had a second meeting to view a sample centerpiece. I loved that part so we could start to envision what the whole look would be! When the wedding day arrived everything looked absolutely stunning and was exactly what we envisioned (and more) after approving our sample piece! We highly recommend Gidas Flowers!

I worked with Gidas Flowers for a COVID postponed wedding that took place in early August 2021. Laurie and the team were amazing to work with from day one. From an initial consultation where she gave me a great amount of information, education on florals/greenery, and options to work within our budget. They were very responsive and provided great communication throughout the wedding planning process. From delivery of personal bouquets and boutonnieres to the hotel, to centerpieces, cake flowers, and accent arrangements, everything was flawless!

I went to them a little over a month before our wedding in a complete panic because our original flower plans fell through. Laurie was amazing and helped bring my wedding flower vision to life. I can't say enough good things about Gidas! They did the flowers for our wedding in October and did an amazing job. They were extremely responsive, helpful in figuring out exactly what we wanted, and did an amazing job. My bouquet was so beautiful and it was exactly what I wanted. I would definitely recommend them, especially for weddings!

I literally had no idea what kind of flowers I wanted for my bouquet. The staff at Gida’s recommended the most beautiful flowers and it turned out even better than I imagined. The arrangement was flawless. I had to pick my flowers up the day before and they gave me careful instructions for how to store them to stay fresh and gave me a vase to sit them in. I really enjoyed working with them and the flowers truly looked beautiful.

My bouquet was absolutely beautiful, but it was enormous, expensive, and it was so heavy! I wish I had more consulting time with them to go over what I was looking for. I sent a few inspiration photos, but I don’t think I was able to properly communicate what I was specifically envisioning. It may have been better if they had sent something like a sketch of what they planned to do, how big it would be, etc beforehand. I definitely wouldn’t not consider them, but be sure that you’re very specific with what you want and the size that you’re looking for.

We had planned to use Gidas Flowers for our wedding on 6/26/2020. When the pandemic hit in March, Gidas was so flexible as we planned our big day three different times. Ultimately we decided to hold our wedding in NY where we live to limit travel for our guests. Gidas still worked with us! We ended up having a family member pick up our bouquets and bring them to NY. I was worried that they wouldn’t last the 8 hour car ride. They were even more beautiful than I expected and they were so fresh! We got so many compliments on our flowers the day of. I was so grateful for their flexibility and communication throughout the whole process and wish we could’ve had them do our centerpieces as we had originally planned. I would recommend Gidas to any bride in search of a florist.

Absolutely gorgeous flowers!!! I loved my bouquet and my grooms boutonnière! Working with Laurie was an absolutely pleasure. She was so responsive, always made sure to let me know when she received our payments. She was also so accommodating when I changed our order a month before! Incredible value compared to the estimates I got from other local florists, and Laurie did an excellent job translating my vision into a realty. We used Gidas for our November wedding and they did an AMAZING job with everything. We met with them a few times when we were in town and they were very helpful in designing the bouquets and boutonnières (esp with someone who knows nothing about flowers). Even when there was some confusion about where the flowers were delivered day of, they quickly ran them over for our first look and pictures at the University Club before the wedding. These folks were great!

Gidas Flowers was an incredible vendor to work with for our October wedding. We initially booked Gidas without an in-person consultation as we live out of state– a simple phone call and browse through their wedding gallery and we knew they were the right vendor for us. At our consultations, it felt like Jason and Laurie read my mind when they created a sample bouquet and centerpiece that was exactly what I was hoping for. In addition to the beautiful bouquets, Gidas created simple, elegant centerpieces for our reception, and an incredible floral installation to decorate the arch used for our outdoor ceremony. We couldn’t recommend Gidas enough.

Gidas was absolutely amazing as our floral vendor for our wedding! We met with Laurie for the initial meeting, and she was so organized beforehand. She had us send her a few pictures of our vision. I know nothing about flowers, but I had a couple of ideas that I sent her. When we got to the meeting, she was already set up with a web page open of every type of flower that she envisioned for us. She was quick to give us a price the same day and was actually much lower than our budget. We planned initially to do only bouquets and corsages, but after seeing the price, we got centerpieces for about 80% of our tables. Laurie was so helpful throughout the whole process, and I didn't have to be involved in any of the set up. Thank you Gidas!

I loved the work Gidas did for my wedding day! They were able to come up with the style I wanted that was within my budget and alternative ideas in case we experienced rain. I had a tight schedule to come in for consultations but they were able to fit me in. The bouquets, centerpieces, and arch pieces I chose were beautiful and the whole venue smelled amazing!

Gidas, and specifically, Laurie was absolutely wonderful to work with for my wedding. I didn't have a precise vision of what I wanted for my wedding flowers, but at our initial meeting, Laurie helped guide me based on pictures I found on Pinterest and photos of the venue. When it came time for the mock up, it wasn't quite what we had envisioned, and on the spot she fixed it and made it perfect! It just goes to show how much she understood my vision and her desire to get it right. Throughout the process they were very communicative with me and with my wedding planners. They were a great team to work with and were very affordable and really worked with me on keeping the costs to fit into my budget while also answering all my questions (which were a lot!!)… They gave me ideas on their own while totally doing what I asked. Gidas did the flowers for my wedding ceremony and reception. I was planning my Pittsburgh wedding from Philadelphia and Laurie facetimed me for almost 2 hours on a Saturday to talk about exactly what I was thinking for my flowers. When I came into Pittsburgh about 6 months before the wedding and saw my sample centerpiece it was more than I could have hoped for! My flowers in the reception room were breathtaking. The flower stands matched the votive candle holders on the tables and completed my vision. My bouquet is preserved and in a shadow box because I could never part with it! Gidas provided stunning floral arrangements for my wedding reception and bridal party. They were very easy to work with and made sure I was happy with everything- they do a sample centerpiece weeks before your event so you can see it all together and can make any changes. My seating chart and table numbers changed last minute and Gidas accomadated these changes without issue. They even got creative when my baker couldn’t provide a cake stand- we set black magic roses under a large glass cylinder that worked perfectly as a cake stand! Very classy florist- will be recommending to anyone seeking a florist.

I have to start out by saying Gidas was absolutely a pleasure to work with for our wedding flowers. I did some extensive research over a year out from our wedding date in regards to Pittsburgh florists and heard nothing but wonderful things about Gidas. Even after all my research, I took the recommendation from a friend who also used Gidas for her wedding that took place a year or two prior. Going into our first appointment we thought we had a very clear idea of what we wanted. After we decided to go a different direction (months later) with my dress and decor- I felt that it was necessary to change the flowers as well. I was so nervous that this would be a big deal but it totally wasn't! Carol was so helpful and she really saw my vision and was able to make it come to life. I met with multiple people throughout the year and a half planning process and not once did I feel like the ball was dropped in between designers. I totally understand that people come and go from businesses so I never felt uneasy that we were working with a different floral designer than we originally met with. Gidas made the process so SEAMLESS and enjoyable. My favorite part was going into the shop to see a mockup of the elevated centerpieces that we discussed at our second meeting. I honestly was in awe of how beautiful it looked and it was just a sample! This moment really put me at ease because I knew that our floral arrangements were going to look amazing. As for the day of, our wearables (bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres) were all delivered promptly to the church. Everything looked AMAZING. I loved my bouquet so much and received so many compliments on all of the flowers present at the church. When we got to the reception venue, our coordinator was able to sneak us into the ballroom to get a sneak peak of the room. All I have to say is that I was in awe of how beautifully our florals were set up. The mix of elevated and low centerpieces was perfect, the flowers were beautiful and the mercury glass stands really tied everything together. I went in with a vision but the team really made it come together. I am no florist- so I made sure to listen to their expertise and suggestions and I am so glad I did! If you are looking for a reliable, reasonably priced, florist with superb expertise I HIGHLY recommend Gidas. They are true professionals and I hope to use them again for future flower needs.

Gidas arranged and delivered all of the florals for my September wedding, and they were some of the most beautiful arrangements I've ever seen! The flowers were all in immaculate shape, good quality, and so fresh that they really lasted. Working with the designer was a seamless process, and she was full of great ideas of how to make the wedding even more beautiful than I ever imagined it could be.

Gidas created all of our personal flowers and they were stunning. I had a difficult time getting to the shop for an initial appointment so they made arrangements to facetime me during my lunch break. For our meetings, I had inspiration pictures I showed them and they not only brought out samples of the types of flowers I was interested in so I could see what they looked like in person but all of the personal flowers looked exactly like the pictures I had. Very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend.

Laurie and Melanie were amazing at helping us decide what style of flowers went best with our theme and colors!! We got bouquets for the ceremony and centerpieces for the reception and it turned out so beautiful! Everyone was obsessed with how they turned out and wanted to take home the centerpieces at the end of the night. We would not change a thing!

They did such an amazing job on my flowers. I went in with a general idea of what I wanted, but told them I was mostly relying on their expertise, and they did not disappoint. In our initial visit, she pulled some flowers for me to choose from and gave me everything I wanted within my budget. When I saw the flowers on my wedding day, I was blown away. We had our reception at Twentieth Century Club and their package included centerpieces from Gidas. And we are so happy they did! We ordered all of our flowers through them. We loved them. We had an art deco wedding and the ladies at Gidas recommended that we use pearl accents in our flowers. Our flowers were beautiful and we are so happy we used Gidas.

Carole and the Gidas staff provided the flowers for my daughter’s wedding in July. Of special note, the mix of high and low table arrangements that Carole recommended of hydrangeas, dusty roses and lilies for the reception tables were truly tasteful and elegant, really the perfect choice for a summer event (and quite striking against the white tablecloths). Gidas also provided mirrors under the arrangements and votive candles—truly made the tables sparkle!

We used Gidas for our June wedding and they were awesome! Our ceremony was at Heinz Chapel and since they are familiar with the venue, the flowers were ready to go for us when we arrived at the Chapel. During planning, we had an appointment to see the sample centerpiece for the reception and they had made a few changes to what we talked about during the consultation and I was so happy because they made additions that I was going to suggest myself. My fiancé was also particular about the boutonnieres and didn't want large flowers and they put together some eucalyptus and wax flowers and it made both of us happy. Would definitely recommend because the flowers were beautiful and the staff was so pleasant to work with.

While their range of offerings and work was incredibly broad (such a plus!), they were able to perfectly pinpoint and provide suggestions to match our aesthetic and give us the clean, classic and elegant look we were going for.
