The Glasbern Inn is truly an incredible venue to hold a wedding ceremony and reception. The venue has breathtaking views of the Lehigh Valley, immaculately landscaped grounds, and fantastic suites and cottages.
Overall, I was pleased with... my wedding at the Glasbern Inn. My husband and I received so many compliments about the location, food, and overall feel of our wedding. If you are looking for a rustic and unique wedding venue, I highly recommend The Glasbern Inn.
Erica was a pleasure to work with! My original wedding planner, Carrie, went on maternity leave a few months before my wedding. Erica jumped right in and worked her tail off to make sure we had everything we needed. I have to give her credit for her work, I imagine it wasn't easy coming into her position as wedding coordinator halfway through wedding planning. I was a bit of a mess my wedding day, forgetting things left and right. Erica gladly ran all over the venue, ensuring I had everything I needed. Thank you Erica!!
Accommodations- I stayed in the bridal suite, The Garden Cottage. It was perfect! It had enough space for my bridal party to get ready and gave me privacy and a place to decompress the night before my wedding. However, I have to believe that the booking system that The Glasbern uses is a bit antiquated. Guests were booked for the wrong wedding block and rooms were double booked (so make sure to confirm EVERYTHING)! My father had to switch rooms due to a broken air conditioner, so the Glasbern upgraded his room, free of charge. However, as he was getting ready for the wedding, another guest walked in on him. The Glasbern immediately sent a bottle of wine to apologize, which was a very nice gesture. Overall, the rooms are incredible and the discounted rates for wedding blocks are sizable.
Food-I am a vegetarian, but I am absolutely a foodie. Having a delicious meal to celebrate my special day was very important to me. During my tasting, I tried an incredible gnocchi dish. I loved it. Everything was delicious, cooked to perfection, and seasoned appropriately. We offered three options, chicken, filet and shrimp, and the vegetarian gnocchi. Our guests raved about the chicken and filet/shrimp options. However, the chef changed the gnocchi to a vegan risotto, due to 2 guests with diet restrictions. I have to complain about it. I was totally disappointed. The risotto wasn't bad necessarily, but I was expecting my delicious gnocchi.
Ceremony-The ceremony space accommodated our 130 guests comfortably. Overlooking a pond, hills, and lush greenery, I couldn't have loved our ceremony more.
Details- Again, the system of The Glasbern Inn is old. After signing our contract in September, we ran into a few problems with added costs at our last meeting in July. Erica quickly rectified the increase of price, so everything was ok. The included breakfast for our guests the day after the wedding was wonderful and the staff members were all very kind and helpful. I wish I could get married all over again, I would absolutely use The Glasbern Inn in a heartbeat!
