Barn setting is beautiful for a rustic wedding. The venue owner, Connie, however is terrible. Connie was unprofessional in everything. After working with Connie for an entire year in planning the wedding, abiding by all rules in our contract...,and having approval for all decorations, drinks, etc., this venue owner did her best to destroy the entire event. Connie was rude to our guests, rude to our outside vendors (DJ & Photographer), rude to parents of the bride/groom, and even more terrible rude to the bridal couple. She back-peddled on everything we had agreed upon by contract, demanded things be done her way, even down to the decorating and order of songs. Took away all water even though it was 85 degrees because she might have to pick up a water bottle, and spend the entire evening doing all of this in a dirty pair of cut-off sweat pants while circulating and attacking our guests. This venue owner, Connie, does not deserve to be in business. I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior in the course of a business transaction. Connie presented herself as a coordinator of the event instead of a venue owner who should have kept herself in the background unless there was a question or problem. Our guest list consisted of 80% adult family & friends and 20% of young people in their 20s who were friends of the bridal couple. None of our guests were unruly, rules of the facility were followed to the letter, and we left the facility spotless even though clean-up was part of what was paid for in the contract. I cannot say enough negative things about this venue owner. She ruined what should have been a wonderful day for me, the mother-of-the bride. Our DJ announced his company will never work this venue again due to Connie's behavior. If you want to have an event where you sit in a chair and have someone tell you when you can move and how to move then this would be the place, however I do not recommend this venue. This is NOT SO GOOD TYME BARN.
