ginning, Patrick was kind, quick to respond, and patient with us while we made our music decisions. He provided us a great timeline to go off of, and really helped us get set up for a great night. A couple days before our wedding, I got a text from Rashida (our DJ for the night) to confirm everything and make sure we didn't have any other last minute requests. Rashida kept the dance floor packed the whole night and we got so many compliments on how awesome the music was! She was so sweet and so engaging with our guests the whole night. I would absolutely hire them all over again!

d that you can never get from a DJ. That being said, I cannot say enough good things about Green Fourteen! The band leader, Patrick, was amazing to work with right from the beginning. He was very responsive by email or phone. A couple of days before our wedding, Patrick told us he was bringing a couple of extra band members as his treat. Suddenly our 6-piece band was a 12-piece band with dancers and everything! We were blown away! The band was engaging with the guests all night long and really made our wedding unforgettable. So many of our guests told us it was the best time they ever had at a wedding. I wish we had another event to hire them for because they really were so much fun!

for wedding venues. When we found a venue that we knew we had to have we were told our date was already booked. However, the venue had a date available two weeks later. We reached out to Patrick and explained how we found the venue, but needed to move our date. He was more than willing to work with us and told us not to worry. As everything will be fine and work out. In the end we were able to have both the venue we wanted and the kick@$$ band that we knew we wanted from the start. All thanks to Patrick's willingness to work with us.

Don’t think, just book. I was super skeptical about how many 5 star reviews Patrick and the band had, thinking there was no way people loved them this much. I did some digging from past customers, and everyone sad exactly what I’m about to say....
Our guests raved about the “best wedding band ever” the entire night. The band knows how to interact with the crowd and make everyone feel part of the action. As a musician myself, he went above and beyond to make sure I was able to play a song for my wife on acoustic guitar, as well as play “Sweet Home Chicago” with the band. The energy was off the charts the whole night, and some of my favorite memories of the evening are due to Green Fourteen.
More important, Patrick has such passion and drive, and works with you to not only make the band amazing, but coordinate the event so that it goes off as seamlessly as possible. Patrick comes off very high energy, but thats only because he has such enthusiasm and drive. Green Fourteen also provides tremendous value compared to other bands. I’ll let you do your own research, but I can tell you it was the single largest expenditure other than the venue and food, and it still felt worth it. If you’re debating between bands or band and DJ, just know you won’t regret hiring Green Fourteen!

Patrick and his crew arrived on time, loaded in quickly, and were very helpful during soundcheck. They obviously know the fundraising format very well, and Patrick even jumped on the mic a few times during the evening to help keep the program moving along and fill some dead-air. He could easily emcee a fundraising event given the opportunity.
Green Fourteen has mass appeal and could play to a much larger venue if needed. Certainly a good choice for a cocktail-attire fundraiser.

I had multiple guests asking "who is this band and where did you find them?!" an not describe how Green Fourteen contributed to making the wedding reception magical. Patrick got everyone of the guests involved even before the band started playing. He made the announcement of the bridal party so interactive and fun and he had the timeline of the events of the evening so planned out and spot on. Then the band started playing and "WOW" they are crazy good! They not only played with high intensity for 3 hours straight without stopping, but they danced at the same time!!! The guests still are commenting that Green Fourteen is the best band they have ever seen! We are so glad that we ordered the largest dance floor possible for our tented reception because every inch of it was used ALL NIGHT! It's the first thing my guests have mentioned talking to them after the wedding. Vendors too. Both our caterer and our photographer reached out asking who the band was b/c they were incredible. Music was very important to us when planning our wedding. Honestly i was slightly tepid prior to the wedding b/c of how affordable they were in comparison to other bands. Besides saying "I do" - hiring them was the smartest thing my Groom and I have done. Patrick said that they always over deliver, and I just thought that was something you say, but he is a man true to his word. They played longer then they said they would - playing songs everyone loved! They really added so much fun and energy to the reception, my feet are still happily sore. I told my now husband that I want to have an anniversary party just so we can rehire them. Do not hesitate to book them for your wedding (or any event really, they are legit!), and tell me if you do, b/c I'll want to crash your party. ;-)

recall, I had issued you a contract that gave you first right of refusal over any other interested party within that 48 hour period.
When your contract and deposit didn't come back in the time allowed, another interested party sent in their contract & deposit and unfortunately took your special date.
As I always mention to all of our clients, Im not a high pressure sales person and I don't force or push anyone into making any decisions until you are 100% ready. The obvious disadvantage to that is that another interested client that has made their choice takes that opportunity.
To respond on not reaching out to you, yesterday I did reach out to you immediately by email (as you know) to let you know that someone else had taken the date, but that I just needed a little time (24 hours) to make sure that the transfer of funds was indeed there, and that there was no mistake. I didn't want to disappoint you or give you all any more unneeded stress while I was confirming.
To my surprise today I just received our first negative review ever on The Knot. Obviously and sadly from you. I didn't get a chance to reach out in time prior for your posting this review. For that once again I am sorry.

Many bands and orchestras offer multiple bands and musicians to go out and perform on the same night to alleviate this kind of situation from happening. There is only 1 Green Fourteen and our availability is much more limited.

Patrick and the band absolutely NAILED it! I have been to at least 30 weddings in the city in the last 5+ years and every person commented on how they were the best band they have ever seen. The dance floor was packed the whole time. I think I got off the dance floor one time the whole night. The singers are amazing and get all of the guests involved, whether they know they want to be or not. I recommend spending the extra money to get as many band members as possible. It is well worth it! We had the 12 piece bad. The sax was unreal.
