CAREFUL!!!
While this is a "green" option, it may end up being more expensive for you than paper invitations. They are tricky!
You pay per person, not per invitation - what the heck is up with that!!!!! So if you are inviting a family of 4 it...
counts as 4 invites, whereas with a printed invite, it would only count as 1.
They also make you purchase packages and jump from 100 to 150 (I'm sure knowing that most wedding guest list fall in between). So you will most likely pay for 150 invites even though you're only inviting, say 110 people.
It's kind of crappy business. I feel slightly manipulated!

I would like to help clarify the reasoning behind our pricing structure, as it is by no means meant to be hidden and we try to make it as clear as possible by referring to all packages as being for a specific number of people and including a FAQ about how we calculate pricing when on the purchasing page. All of our pricing is based per person (as opposed to by send or by invitation), but I do know that traditional paper invitations are priced as per send, which may cause for some confusion when making your initial purchase. The reason for this is not to confuse, but rather so that we can provide all tracking, resends, reminders, messaging and other services at no additional cost, which is something that paper invitations and the per send structure cannot do. We feel a structure that captures the general size of the event and guest list would provide an overall better customer experience than charging for extra sends or additional features.

easy budget friendly way to send nice looking online invitation service
Greenvelope allows you to send your save the dates, invitations, and thank you cards. I found their website easy to navigate and appreciated their weekly emails with the stats on rsvp's.
We used Greenvelope to send out virtual save-the-dates for our wedding. As far as the digital invitation companies go, we found Greenvelope to clearly offer the best product for the money.
We loved so many things about Greenvelope, including:...
- their beautiful design options,
- how easy it was to customize the designs,
- how much customization you could do before hitting a paywall,
- the tracking features to check if our intended recipients had opened the save-the-date or not,
- the auto-resend feature for our guests who had not opened their save-the-date three days after the initial send,
- the pricing is easy to understand,
- the website is intuitive to use.
The only thing I found challenging was keeping track of all the drafts that I made before we had settled on the design we chose!
We loved the design of our save-the-date so much that we also purchased the PDF version of the matching invitations and thank-you notes to have printed at our local print shop. And then as our RSVP date passed and many people still had not responded (what gives, guests?!) we even used Greenvelope as a service to remind our guests who had not yet RSVP'd to let us know if they were coming or not.

mplete, thorough responses to all inquiries (usually within minutes), and they follow up!! There was no problem or question I had that they couldn't easily solve. In addition, they have A LOT of beautiful card options and features. For all of the other e-card services I thought of using, I had to create a separate wedding website, but Greenvelope provided this for us in their beautiful, easy-to-use details page. In addition, their cards work on computers as well as mobile devices and can be downloaded and shared! We had great delivery to guests, and were excited by all of the ways we could customize every part of our design and features.
Their website was very easy to navigate for us as well as some of our not-so-good-with-technology wedding guests. Because we used the service for saves-the-dates, rehearsal invitations, and wedding invitations, I purchased the year-long subscription, and it is great! We used it to send guests links to pictures, holiday cards, and more! I highly recommend checking out Greenvelope!

Ashley, the designer who was assigned to our project, was so easy to work with and communication was seamless, in spite of the fact that neither of us (her clients) were creative nor did we know what we wanted, where to even begin. Somehow, she was able to capture in her designs everything that we didn’t know we were looking for. So many of our friends and family have specifically written back to us telling us how adorable our save-the-dates were and how beautiful our more formal invitations were.
I did have one (hopefully constructive) feedback and that may be due to the lack of technical support outside of their business hours. The web server wasn't responsive so a few of our international guests could not access the wedding invitation on the server for a few hours. Not a big deal as it was rectified as soon as 9am PST came around and no one can remember the technical snafu as soon as they saw the lovely invitations. So overall, still a 5 stars!

I didn't realize that I am able to easily add guests, and I can even see if my guests have opened the email to get the message, and if the email address is even valid before I send it. My MOL sent my fiancé a few .net's that should have been .com's while we were doing Save the Dates, and Greenvelope caught errors before I sent them out. If I were to send to a wrong mailing address via USPS, I may never know who got what and who didn't. For the guests who don't have the email skills (grandma), you can download a printable version of the cards. I connected my wedding website to the Save the Dates. There are a lot of features that I never even knew I wanted until trying this, such as the ability for guests to add the date to their google calendar, and a link to google maps so people can find where I am getting married in the first place. If you are willing to be a little non-traditional for how people find out about your wedding, this is the way to go.

Even if you aren't using them to help the environment, it takes so much pressure off of having to send out two separate mailings. Invites will be enough work. If it weren't for the fact that not all of my family has working email accounts we probably would use greenvelope for our invites as well! Also very reasonably priced!!

I loved being able to upload our own artwork and music to accompany the animated opening of our Save the Date, so we could stay on theme for our wedding from beginning to end. The "Details" and "Messaging" pages were an added bonus. We were able to include important information for our guests, and our guests could email us directly from the Save the Date. On the Details page we entered the names of our church and reception venue into a form, which then populated the full addresses/phone numbers. It also automatically included Google maps and links to click to "Add to calendar". Another great thing – if you want them to, Greenvelope will automatically re-send your email to people who haven’t opened it after three days. Overall, the site is very well thought-out and organized, and fun and easy to use. We will definitely use this service again.

It was great for us because we could track the responses online right away.
