I was planning for my 20th wedding anniversary and a vow renewal ceremony with my wife in beautiful Kauai, which prompted my search for stellar photographers. Harneet was always very responsive leading up to the big day. We met up early and immediately had good vibes. He was warm, funny, and made us feel welcomed to the beautiful island. My wife, who wasn’t part of the initial back-and-forth communication, also felt very comfortable. We had a great conversation about our individual journeys. Harneet walked us through the process with clear directions and helped with pose suggestions since we weren’t sure what to do. We felt very relaxed as if we were talking (and laughing) with a long-time friend, not someone whom we just met and who lives 4,800 miles away. The ceremony was fun but the photos afterward were amazing! He captured photos of the event, candid moments, as well as our children, which are images we'll cherish and be able to relive as part of our story. Harneet was an exceptional photographer and director for our intimate wedding and post-wedding couple photos. We were introduced to our photographer, the incredibly talented, Harneet Bajwa through Kauai Elopements. From our initial interactions with Harneet, we knew we were in the best hands. We had a couple locations including our first look outside the Waipouli Beach Resort then to our ceremony location in Hanalei. Just looking at Harneet's style of photography we knew it is how we wanted our special moment captured so we could surprise family and friends. He clearly sets out what you will receive and when and even delivered a couple of sneak peak pictures ahead of schedule so we could surprise some of our closest family and friends. The final set of images were easily accessible, numerous and captured everything we wanted and more. Whatever special moment you are looking to capture in Kauai, would highly recommend Harneet to capture it!

If your planning a surprise proposal in Kauai, Harneet is your guy to capture the moment. My experience working with Harneet was 5 Stars! After doing a lot of research on photographers, I reached out to Harneet b/c I really liked his style and vivid photographs. We connected a few times briefly leading up to our trip to the island so Harneet could get an idea of what I was hoping to capture and chatting through all the logistics. Harneet is easy to communicate with and helps to form the vision with his experience. He made sure I understood where he would be and the timing for everything after planning a Sunset proposal. After arriving to Kauai, I went and scoped out the “spot” on Tunnels Beach 2 days prior to my proposal and realized I wanted to be a bit further down the beach than originally planned. I called up Harneet to make the adjustments and he was super receptive and understood my vision. The nice thing Harneet did was create maps showing where to park, where he would be, and about where I should propose with times listed for everything. It was super helpful. He told me that I won’t even know he’s there and to not think about him at all. That ended up being extremely true! In the moment, I was able to be fully focused on the proposal and my girl, which was amazing. Harneet did his thing capturing the surprise and my new fiancée had no idea he was even there until several minutes after she had said “yes”. The pictures captured the surprise, the excitement, the gorgeous sunset, and the Na Pali peaks, and really just everything I had envisioned and more. My proposal was in April, so the weather is temperamental at that time and Harneet came prepared. At one point for about 3 minutes, rain started falling and Harneet ran to the rescue with an umbrella so our nice clothes and my fiancée’s hair/makeup weren’t affected. It was the little things that set Harneet apart! Another obstacle during my visit was the massive landslide that occurred in March that blocked the road into Hanalei and Haena. This proved to be a logistical issue with getting to Tunnels Beach at the end of Kuhio Hwy during sunset. We had to be the first car in line at the barricade on the day during the evening time slot to make the drive to Tunnels Beach before sunset. That means Harneet had to plan way ahead and go through the barricade during the lunch time slot and wait for several hours. He was all set up way before we arrived at the beach and made sure that he didn’t cause any stress by not being ready. Harneet goes above and beyond for his clients. He cares deeply about capturing the special moment. He is very kind and patient and never “put me in a box” telling me what to do. Instead, he lets you craft your own vision and perfect moment, and just adds his expertise to make it even more perfect. Working with Harneet is stress free. A few days later, Harneet emailed me the sneak peak photos. We were blown away by the quality and just how awesome they turned out. We were beyond excited and just so happy that we have these forever pictures. Within a few weeks the rest of the pictures were delivered. It’s been an absolute blast showing the pictures to family and being able to narrate the best beach walk of our lives. Thank you Harneet for your professionalism, kindness, excellent communication, the stress-free environment you created, and the beautiful photos we will have for our lifetime and get to show our kids someday. We eloped from Canada to Hawaii and I must admit, I was the most nervous about getting photos taken. My husband and I are naturally awkward in front of the camera so I didn't know what to expect. We were eloping from Ireland to Hawaii and although we weren't keen to spend time posing for photographs, we wanted to capture the memories to share with our family and friends. Harneet was hired by our wedding planner. We did not meet before the ceremony which made me nervous but as soon I met Harneet, he put us at ease. He instinctively knew how to handle my camera shy husband and we got the best pictures. Harneet was able to give us so many keepers that I'm having a hard time deciding what pictures to pick.

My fiancé (boyfriend at the time) contacted Harneet prior to our trip to Hawaii to schedule a surprise proposal and engagement shoot. He had no idea where to go on the island and Harneet helped him plan everything (what beach, what time, where to park, etc.). Harneet was extremely discreet (I had no idea he was anywhere near us!) and perfectly captured the moment we got engaged. Following the proposal, we took photos with Harneet for about 45 minutes as the sun was setting. Taking the photos was truly effortless. Within 2 days, he sent us 15 “sneak peek” photos to enjoy and share with our loved ones. We just received our full set of photos and WOW. They are incredibly beautiful. His edits are very natural, and he did a perfect job highlighting the gorgeous Hawaiian landscape surrounding us. We cannot say enough good things about Harneet’s work. If you are going to Kauai, you have to call Harneet. From planning logistics to providing the final photo and everything in between, Harneet’s photography and service was top notch. When we decided to elope to Kauai I only had 3 requirements; a great dress, a breath taking view, and magical photos to remember it all. Harneet was the perfect choice to round out my dream wedding. We booked him for a sunrise pre-wedding photo shoot. I am one of those people that sees a photo of myself that I like every once in a blue moon. So I was a little worried going into the photo session about how much I would like any photos taken that day. However, I had no need to be concerned. Harneet was great at picking the most flattering poses and fixing small things here and there while letting us be ourselves. I loved the way I look in almost every photo, which is a miracle by my standards. I went into my wedding day hoping for 5 to 10 nice photos to frame or post. Instead I have to choose which ones are the best of the best, or which ones I like the lighting in the most because they are all fantastic! Not only is he an amazing photographer, but he was also super easy to work with and great at getting back to us right away. We felt extremely at ease with him from the moment we met him. He made the shoot so fun and relaxing that by the time we were done I couldn't believe an hour had gone by and cursed myself for not booking more time. If you are in Kauai and need a photographer for anything I cannot recommend Harneet enough. I am so glad we found him.

It was such a pleasure to have Harneet taking our wedding pictures. We got a little unlucky with the weather on our wedding day and it was raining on and off during the ceremony, however, Harneet managed to get some truly breathtaking shots of my wife and me during the ceremony. Shooting with Harneet was truly a privilege. Not only is he an incredibly talented artist but he is very personable too. My husband and I are shy and usually avoid the camera, but within moments we were laughing and loving the experience. Harneet directed us as necessary to get the best images, but all of the pictures appeared natural and not fake or forced. Harneet suggested locations to capture the natural beauty of the island, took advantage of the sunset lighting and edited the images to perfection. He sent us the sneak peek shots even earlier than anticipated, which was a lovely surprise. I could not have dreamed of working with a better photographer and could not be happier with our choice. Harneet perfectly captured the most important moments of the happiest day of our lives, and he did so with ease and confidence. I used a wedding planner to take care of all the details of our wedding, and Harneet happened to be the photographer selected for our day. I honestly did not expect too much (considering the amazing overall price of the wedding package), and knew I would be happy with just a couple of hopefully good shots of us on the beach (I had no idea what to expect for a semi-casual beach wedding)... but BOY did Harneet deliver!! His work is comparable to photographers I've used in the past that have cost $3000 or more for various events!! I had NO idea that we would be so lucky as to receive SO MANY GREAT AND AMAZING photos from our wedding day. I cherish each one already, and am so so happy with all of it. Harneet is professional, easy to communicate with, patient, great at directing a crowd, and he even offered to take MORE pictures for us outside of our time slot knowing that we had hoped for sunset photos as well as our earlier beach wedding photos. Harneet was incredible! Our pictures turned out better than either of us imagined! He was very easy to work with and guided us through it all (which couldn't have been knowing us haha). We are a couple from Canada who had a last minute elopement in Kauai. We met Harneet through our wedding planner 'Married with Aloha'. He did our wedding photoshoot and a Trash the Dress photoshoot the following day. He was nice, professional and very flexible. He gave us some really great shots!

We chose Harneet for our September Kauai wedding, and we couldn't be happier with his photography skills! Our pictures came out gorgeous, clear, and proportional, and he really took the time to make our session after the ceremony special. Our ceremony was by a waterfall but he actually took us down to the beach to get more shots and, since my now-husband and I are both kind of awkard and camera-shy, Harneet helped us with our poses so they looked completely natural! He is also so sweet and professional, we were so thrilled that we got this lucky with our photographer, especially because our engagement photos with someone else were a total flop. We highly recommend him!!!! He really is the best!!!

I live in Kauai and I set up a surprise engagement for my girlfriend. We organized both our families to meet in a pre set up spot and totally set the scene for the most memorable moment of our lives together. As a surprise engagement photographer, Harneet did a great job as I was completely SURPRISED! My partner Josh had pre planned our engagement shoot with Harneet and had set a date however as soon as we arrived in Kauai he was getting a little nervous and wanted to bring the date forward which Harneet was totally flexible and happy to do so. He even assisted with location choice and the full plan. Once Josh proposed at Hanalei Bay with the incredible beach and mountains as our backdrop, Harneet congratulated us and took our very first snaps as an engaged couple. With both of us having very little modelling experience, Harneet made us both feel very comfortable and was happy to direct us with poses that didn't look fake or over the top. His range of lenses and camera equipment ensured that we had the perfect shot in every angle and lighting. At the end of our shoot Harneet promised that we would have a beautiful photo for us to share with our family and friends on social media within the next 24-48 hours. We were SO excited to find 14 beautifully edited (not heavily so that we didn't recognise ourselves) images - we couldn't pick just one to share! These images have been circulated through our family and friends and are already hanging up in numerous rooms in our home. I only wish we could return for our wedding photography. Harneet saved my wedding day. I searched and searched for a photographer with an amazing portfolio who happened to be charging a reasonable price for a 1 hour photo session for my wedding at Anini beach with just my husband and our officiant. I finally found Harneet, and not only was he pleasant to speak with over the phone, he was so great to meet in person. His personality and talent all go together perfectly! We were set up with Harneet through his wife, who was our wedding planner. Talk about a dream team! When she sent us his website and I started browsing through pictures, I knew he was going to take great care of us for our elopement. We were originally planning to meet for engagement photos this May, and then do a 30-or-so person destination wedding in May 2018. When we decided to elope on this trip out instead, everyone was on board and excited! Communication during the planning process was clear and easy. I met Harneet in person when I showed up to the ceremony site, about 10 minutes out from marrying my husband. Anyone just meeting their photographer for such a big moment might have been nervous or anxious, but those feelings were far from my mind. He introduced himself with a warm handshake and Aloha, and we all just simply settled right into everything. He made my husband and I feel very comfortable in front of the camera even though we felt a little awkward for the first couple minutes of shooting (we hadn't, after all, done engagement photos before this). We booked 4 hours even though we were just doing a private elopement ceremony, because we wanted to be able to go to a couple different locations to get the most out of the beautiful landscape of Kauai. Harneet was so excited to show us the best highlights of the island, bringing in a second shooter to get bigger shots at our ceremony site, and then taking us on a full tour of the North Shore. All in all we shot photos at 7 or 8 different locations, ending with sunset photos in the water at Ke'e Beach. The whole time, Harneet gently posed us when he needed to, gave us clear directions, encouraged us to be natural with each other, and reassured us that we were doing great. He took really great care of us the whole afternoon, laughing and talking with us in the car between locations, giving us restaurant and beach recommendations, and answering questions we had about the island. He told us we could expect to see a couple "sneak peek" photos in a few days. Imagine our surprise when we got an email the next night with 16 beautiful images for us to ooh and ahh over! They were clear and flattering, with a lot of care taken to take advantage of the light and we feel really great about the balance he achieved between us and the landscape. We cannot wait to see the rest of our photos! We'd absolutely recommend Harneet to anyone looking for a wedding (or engagement, maternity, or family portrait) photographer on Kauai! Mahalo Harneet!!
