Erica is the woman behind all the magic that was our wedding day! She listened to everything we wanted and made sure it happened. We did the "month of/coordinator" package, so we had to book the vendors ourselves and communicate with them until the month of the wedding when Erica took it from there. She was easy to talk to, very communicative, and asked lots of questions to make sure there was no detail that hadn't been covered. We seriously wouldn't have been able to do it without her. She gave us suggestions for vendors and everyone she suggested was top notch and professional. Erica was a God send and she make our day run so smoothly, on time, and without any hiccups that I was aware of (she probably didn't tell us so we did not stress haha). Do yourself a favor and have Erica be your right hand woman...you won't regret it!!!

Erica was a godsend! My husband and I are busy people. We knew from the beginning that we would need help. Our goal was that none of our family or friends would have to work at our wedding. I was never the bride that knew exactly what I wanted. I knew I wanted my wedding day to be beautiful but didn’t have a specific vision for it. Erica helped take what little ideas I had and made it absolutely beautiful! She had a wide variety of vendor contacts to help achieve our goals and do it within the budget we wanted. It was very well organized and went so smoothly. We had a very detailed schedule that let everyone know when and where they were supposed to be. While I got to spend the morning focusing on getting hair and makeup done and spending time with my best girls, Erica was ensuring that everything was taken care of. I might have been the most relaxed bride there ever was! The rest of the day went just as smoothly with many compliments from our guests. Planning a wedding is so stressful, but Erica took most of the stress out of it by sending monthly checklists and reminders! She was available whenever I had a question and made our day perfect! Erica was an enormous help to this mother of the bride since Iive in Chicago and my daughter's wedding took place in Huntsville. She was our eyes and ears and met with vendors since we were out of town. Once we arrived in Huntsville for the wedding, Erica had everything in place and we were stress-free and enjoyed the wedding as much as our very pleased guests. I would highly recommend Erica and can vouch for her expertise, professionalism and very even-keeled demeanor. She was very easy to work with and always pleasant and helpful.

Erica was phenomenal throughout my husband's and I wedding process. Throughout the wedding planning process, she was very responsive to texts, emails, questions we had, etc. She is very detailed oriented, including providing timelines to our families, bridal parties, and vendors, which allowed our wedding to be absolutely perfect. My husband and our families thoroughly enjoyed the day without having to worry about anything thanks to Erica and her team! We seriously could have not gotten through this time without her. We did the partial planning package. Our primary planner was Lynn, and she was there to help us every step of the way with vendor suggestions and last minute fixes (including a run to the store the day of to find bubbles because we couldn't find the ones I packed). This was so helpful because I was planning our Roundhouse wedding from Atlanta and didn't have time to go meet a lot of vendors. They recommended the perfect people for our vision which really helped me spend less time in meetings and on the phone. The day of Lynn and Erica were both there to make sure that our day went as smoothly as possible and looked just like we had envisioned it. They made sure that we stayed on schedule and a lot of time together as a couple throughout our day. Highly recommend!

I decided to go with the Helping Hands Month Of Coordination package for my wedding. My husband and I had been engaged for over two years and I had done a good chunk of planning myself and just needed someone to make sure everything flowed and tie up all the loose ends for Wedding Day. From my first meeting with Lynn, I knew she was going to be amazing, especially when she started asking meticulous details I had not even thought of. She handled all the logistics of wedding day and gave recommendations and suggestions on parts I was unsure about. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, she emailed me wedding questionnaires that we would go over in our meetings to make sure each and every detail was discussed. She was prompt in responding back to my many questions over text and email and even sent me updated master timelines for wedding day. She contacted all my vendors leading up to wedding day and coordinated their tasks and arrival times. On wedding day, Lynn made sure everyone involved in the wedding party and family was stress free and enjoyed themselves. She even coordinated setting up a private dinner for my husband and I to enjoy alone, since being able to eat our wedding food was a priority to me. If anything did go wrong on the day of the wedding, I was never aware of it. My bridesmaids and family came up to me during the reception and told me they couldn't believe how smooth the whole day had gone, thanks to Lynn. Now that the wedding is over, if I could tell any bride out there what to make sure they include in their budget, I would stress to them YOU NEED A WEDDING COORDINATOR. No bride on wedding day wants to be running around trying to make decisions on what goes where or when will this vendor show up and point them where to go. Additionally, no bridesmaid wants to be setting up tables and missing out on wedding morning festivities with the bride (I did that for a friend's wedding one time--please don't do that to your friends). Brides deserve to relax and enjoy the day with their family and friends. Do yourself a favor and hire Lynn as your coordinator for your next event. The wedding was two weeks ago, and I am still having conversations with friends on how great the wedding was. DO IT!

My mom and I decided to hire Erica to help us with all the little details involved in the planning of my wedding day and the days leading up to the wedding. I already had most of my vendors selected for the wedding and a lot of the big picture details worked out, but you don’t know what you don’t know – that is where Erica comes in! We ended up having a destination wedding nestled up in the Beartooth Mountains of Montana. Not only did we have to coordinate with our vendors in a more rural area, we also were dealing with a more rustic venue that came with its own set of challenges and logistics to work out. Erica started coordinating with us several months before the wedding and sent us several check lists to help keep us on task with our vendors, design team, wedding party attire, you name it! Erica even went as far as to find out the typical temperature range for our venue location and time of sunset for that day of the year to make sure her timeline for the day of accounted for those little variables. She also had me fill out several questionnaires to better get to know me and to know how I wanted my wedding to look and feel so she could help bring my vision to life. What I loved about working with Erica was how personalized this whole process felt. In addition to the questionnaires, Erica had several phone meetings with me to review our planning and make sure things were getting accomplished on time. These phone calls helped me connect with Erica but also helped to make sure we were on the same page with design elements. Often during these meetings, she would make suggestions or alterations to timeline. I really loved how she suggested that my grandmas be flower girls (this was so special for them, and they are still talking about it!) and I loved how after our entrance to the reception my husband and I went straight into our fist dance. She also brought up different ceremonial rituals we could add to make our wedding special. A few of those extra’s we ended up adding were the sand ceremony (during our wedding ceremony), the wedding shoe game (during the reception while guests were eating dinner, it was so fun!) and we added the whiskey barrel ceremony after our cake cutting. As far as I know, everything went off perfectly! Erica worked so well with our bridal party and kept our large crew of 20 people on task for photos and line ups. She also worked so well with our already incredible team of florist and decorators. Erica really is like a fairy godmother floating around the wedding venue making sure things happen seamlessly. We had so much fun at our wedding and everything I wanted at our wedding happened. I couldn’t thank Erica more for all she did, she really is incredible at what she does, and I could not think of a better person to recommend for future weddings! Thank you Erica for making our wedding day absolutely perfect to the very last detail!

Helping Hands Parties & Weddings was one of the best decisions we made for our special day. We had a destination wedding at the Witt House in Huntsville, AL. Lynn was available early in the process to do in person vendor meetings and phone calls to make sure everything was falling into place. She was so calm and reassuring at each step. Always alerting us of key tasks and decision that required our attention. Our intimate celebration was memorable and precious. We truly could not have executed our vision without Lynn at Helping Hands. She helped us to incorporate formal and personal touches to maintain an intimate family vibe. Lynn was great help navigating, in the midst of COVID, and my own personal injury one month before our big day. My fiancé, Eddie, initially was skeptical and kept asking do we really need a planner. All I could say was YES WE DO because we are doing this long distance ! Lynn @ Helping Hands was amazing and she made him a believer. She helped us to focus on what was important to us and offered great cost saving ideas. Even though we had all our vendors selected we still had quite a bit to navigate. The Helping hands network of vendors and discounts was a great help with decor and ideas we wanted to incorporate. She was instrumental in taking care of all the ceremony and reception setup details and making sure that we had everything in place. We truly appreciated Lynn's insight and guidance with helping to map out our planning and wedding day time lines and reminding us of key dates. At the end of our wedding day Eddie exclaimed, "Lynn was absolutely worth it." He complimented that she executed everything smoothly and anticipated any issue quietly and professionally. A Heartfelt Thank you, for being so sweet and attentive to what we needed for our Special Day.

HIRE THEM! We seriously could not have had a more perfect and smooth day. Lynn was such an advocate, support, and (no pun intended) helping hand on our wedding day. Her and Erica made sure the venue was set up beautifully, all the vendors were taken care of, and we knew exactly what to do and when to do it. Our day wouldn't have been possible without them. I was able to relax and enjoy our wedding because I knew I was able to trust Lynn to take care of everything. You will not be disappointed, it was worth every penny plus some. We adore these women!!

Lynn was absolutely amazing! I reached out to Helping Hands with hopes of planning a wedding in three months! From start to finish Lynn was available, full of knowledge and advice, and easy to work with. She helped me stay on track, reached out to vendors, and much more. There is no way we could have done this without her! We’ve had so many compliments and heard numerous times, “What y’all pulled off in three months typically takes a year to plan!” From the bottom of our hearts that you so much for making our day beautiful, flawless, and so much more!

TLDR: HIRE HER IMMEDIATELY. Wow! Where do I begin? First off, if you have the opportunity to work with Erica, DO IT. I thought I could manage a lot of it myself, but opted for partial planning and day-of coordination. Shortly after, I had a job change that took a LOT of my time. Erica stayed on top of what needed to be done and by when, and made sure I didn’t run out of time when planning! Even when I was not the best bride and forgetful, she reminded me to get certain things done to keep us on track. The week of the wedding was insane (as it seems to be that way for everyone) and Erica took so much time to get everything straightened out, keep me upbeat and ready for the big day. The day before the wedding, my grandfather passed away. I include this because the way Erica made me feel has no price tag attached to it. She was genuine and kind, and most of all, understanding of the emotions I was feeling. I was a wreck, and she went so far above and beyond to help turn the day around. She let all the vendors know discreetly and managed literally everything the day of the wedding. I’m fairly sure I ended up forgetting things that we needed for the reception, and somehow everything ended up working out. Hire her. If you’re on the fence about doing partial planning or not, do it. It was worth its weight in WAY less stress throughout the process and know that you will not be disappointed with Erica.

Erica is amazing! We worked with her in the past for my older daughter's wedding, so we knew when my youngest daughter got engaged that we had to call Helping Hand Parties. She was a blessing in 2012 and was again such a blessing during the planning of an original June 2020 wedding that ended up being a May 2021 wedding! Her professionalism and established relationship with vendors was invaluable in the uncertainty of COVID as we changed dates three times. When the big day finally did arrive, we got to celebrate and enjoy the day! Erica helped us plan and take care of every detail. She was truly a blessing to our family!

Erica was absolutely fantastic!! We were a couple that had to make the quick decision in March to re-plan our original May 2020 wedding for Sept 2020. Erica made planning a wedding so easy. Her to-do lists, times lines, and reminders helped us stay on track so we were never stressed throughout the process. Erica with Helping Hands is a planning genius. We wanted a LED dance floor, she found us a LED dance floor. We wanted a break dancer to perform at our wedding, she found a break dancer to perform at our wedding. We had a lot of strange ideas for our wedding. Everything that we wanted, she was able to find vendor that we needed or she and her team were able to provide it for us. A LOT of our wedding changed last minute and Erica was able to conquer every task that came her way. She was there whenever we needed her. She was on top of everything. I know and she probably knows (lol) that no one would be able to pull this crazy wedding off expect for her.

Erica and her team did an amazing job helping our wedding day run smoothly! We had a traditional Indian ceremony in the morning and a traditional Christian ceremony at night, all in the same day! Erica planned the Indian ceremony beyond what we could have ever done on our own. She is always up for the challenge and truly does care about your wants and needs. The day was beyond perfect and we are so thankful that Erica was recommended to us.

I worked with Lynn from Helping Hands for my wedding and had a wonderful experience! Lynn is very calm under the chaos of wedding planning, which is a nice contrast to my somewhat all over the place personality. She went out of her way to help above and beyond whenever possible. She picked up and brought my wedding cake to the venue to avoid delivery fees and drove over an hour back to the venue to get my wedding dress preserved the next day. In addition to these minor details, Lynn took charge of every last detail I envisioned to make sure my dream day came to reality! Due to her planning and expertise, my wedding day went off without any complications and was perfect in every way. We used Lynn for month of planning and it was worth every dollar!

Lynn made my life (and my mom's) so much easier during the wedding planning process, and most importantly on the day of. We used her for partial planning and she was so helpful. Hands down, Erica was THE BEST decision we made for our wedding. From day one, she was professional, very organized, and delightful to be around. Her knowledge, communication skills, and professional connections in Huntsville were invaluable to making sure everything was coordinated correctly and appear effortless! Lynn joined Erica a month out before our wedding as our event’s second coordinator. Lynn is so sweet and helpful! She helped with several items to ensure that extra coordinating the day of went even smoother. Erica ensured that our expectations were communicated clearly and made sure to tell us when something wasn’t reasonable. She was amazing to work with and I loved the opportunity to get to know her! After doing some research and speaking with friends we decided to go with Erica as our wedding planner. This was one of the best decisions we made in terms of our wedding! I consider myself a pretty detailed, organized person and had a very clear vision for our wedding. But Erica was able to help us take everything to the next level. We chose the partial planning option because we wanted to be hands on in making decisions and we knew for the most part what we wanted. From day one Erica was very responsive with emails, texting or phone calls. There were many things involved in wedding planning that we had not thought about. She had many suggestions and ideas for things to do during the wedding. She knew the venue well and knew what would work and what would not work. Erica has a very good working relationship with other vendors. All the other vendors knew who she was and how organized she is. They had nothing but good things to say about her. Erica was such an amazing resource throughout my entire wedding season! It was such a relief to be able to relax and enjoy my ceremony and reception and not have to worry about all the details going on behind the scenes because I knew Erica had everything under control. Choosing Helping Hand Parties was the best decision we made during our wedding planning process. Erica was with us every step of the way and managed to make the stressful task of planning a wedding pleasant for everyone involved. During the planning period, I was living in a different city and was busy finishing college while my fiancé was living in a different state. Erica worked with our crazy schedule, helped us find wonderful vendors, and helped with any situation that came up. She went out of her way to make sure tasks were completed in a timely manner, and she was always in constant contact. My husband, his family, my family and I all had very different visions for the wedding, and this wonderful woman was somehow able to create a wedding experience that we all loved. On the wedding day, Erica and her staff at Helping Hand Parties pulled together everything to create the most amazing day of my life thus far. One of the most memorable moments of my wedding day was after the ceremony, when we were going to the reception venue. I was smiling as big as possible and realized that getting married was so much more fun than I had expected. I can honestly say that without Erica and Helping Hand Parties, I would not have had that same experience. She truly was the best decision we made, and I could never thank her enough for everything she did for us!

We had Erica for partial planning, and it was the best decision we made while wedding planning! Erica was on top of it, had so many great questions that helped us think through every part of the day, and gave us great ideas for how to make it unique to us and fun for our guests! On the day of, her leadership style was resolute and calming, something that me, my mom, and the entire bridal party were really appreciative of. We couldn't have done it without her and I know she was the reason everything was so perfect! I couldn't thank her enough for all she did to make our wedding run so smoothly and be so fun!

Erica Thimsen is the dream wedding planner. She is the best of the best. She is one of the most organized, creative and genuine people I have ever met. She made the entire process of planning our wedding 10x better and easier. And on the actual wedding day, she was absolutely perfect. There were things that went wrong, but I never knew about them because Erica took care of them immediately. Erica was not only a wedding planner to me, she was also a friend. Erica was very responsive and flexible - always returning calls or emails right away (I sometimes wondered when she slept, based on the various timestamps of her emails! :)) When we decided to go a different direction with our wedding just a few months before the big day, Erica didn't flinch at all, and was very supportive and encouraging of us and our new plan, which we were SO grateful for. She helped us turn everything around into the direction we wanted to go (intimate, personal, and beautiful), and we were SO HAPPY. The wedding day was perfect! Erica took care of everything. We all knew where everyone and everything needed to be and when with the timeline Erica developed and executed. She coordinated all of the vendors and we didn't have to worry about a thing except showing up, looking pretty, and having the happiest day of our lives! The value you get with everything she does for you is unmatched. My groom and I were so happy not just on the wedding day, but throughout the planning process (which is important!). Awesome, professional, kind, and a joy to work with. I would never been able to give my daughter such a beautiful wedding without Erica's expertise. She put together the perfect wedding down to the smallest detail. Erica enabled me to enjoy a magical, stress free day with my daughter, new son, family, and friends.
