This place is under new ownership and I would strongly NOT RECOMMEND them. We ordered a tent and some tables and chairs for our small, backyard wedding and had 4 MAJOR ISSUES with them.
1. Emailed us 5 days before the wedding asking to change ...
the tent size - Very unprofessional and added unnecessary stress to my wedding.
2. Spray painted our whole yard – When the person came to check for wires, he spray painted our entire yard, up and down, with bright red, orange, and green paint. When I told Harriet’s, they put the blame solely on the company that did that, which is incredibly immature. They are the ones who hire this company and should take full responsibility for what they do.
3. Emailed 3 days before the wedding to tell us they were setting everything up that day – Our contract said one day before the wedding. We certainly did not want our entire backyard unavailable for 3 extra days prior to the wedding. Again, they added unnecessary stress during an otherwise very happy time in our lives.
4. The BIGGEST ISSUE is that they WITHELD INFORMATION from us about the size that we would need for the tent. They only told us the dimensions of the tent but didn’t tell us that they would need many feet on either side as well as 18 inches from any wires. Our original tent size wouldn’t have fit at all. Even with the smaller tent, the new info meant that we could not have the tent where we wanted it. (We could have fit it smack in the middle of the yard but that would have interfered with the ceremony). We ended up simply not using the tent, the weather was lovely, and we had a wonderful wedding, no thanks to them.
When I called them to discuss these issues, they placed blame on others and did not take any responsibility for their mistakes. In conclusion, I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT USING HARRIETS FOR ANY OF YOUR TENT NEEDS.

1) It sounds like we were unclear to you about needing additional space for the stakes of the tent. We will add this to our list of discussion points during the tent quoting process to prevent this misunderstanding from happening in the future.
2) When we had an issue arise with the tent you initially rented, we offered you a larger tent at no additional charge. When you asked if we could provide a different tent for the same deal, we obliged. Our intent was to offer you a free upgrade, not to cause additional stress so soon before your wedding. We’re sorry for this unintended consequence.
3) It is State Law that we call to have utilities located prior to driving stakes into the ground. With special events, we request that locators mark with flags instead of spray paint. It sounds like this request was ignored, and we can see why it would be frustrating to have your yard spray painted just before your wedding. Since this service is completed by individual utility companies, we do not have an alternative choice of business to have utilities marked.
4) We contacted you to see if it was *possible* to setup the tent three days early. You said that wouldn’t work for you and we complied. Our intent was to reduce your stress by allowing the tent to be complete ahead of schedule, but we clearly failed in this respect.
5) Unfortunately, utility lines prevented us from placing the tent exactly where you wanted it. We had the option to move the tent over 18” from your requested location. You turned this option down as well as a few other possible locations. We are sorry that no location fit your needs. Unfortunately, sometimes there simply are no workarounds. We are THRILLED that the weather held out for you! We were concerned all weekend because it looked like it might storm on your perfect day.
Again, we are sorry that your experience with Herriott’s was a negative one. We hope our explanations and our proposed change will make you comfortable renting from us again in the future.

Great tents to rent out for any special occasion. I was a guest at my friends wedding and fell in love with the tent she used and she told me it was from Herriot's Rents Tents Events.
I managed to rent all the pieces for my table centerpieces and then got to return everything. It was well worth it! The price was right and I didn't have to find a way to store everything afterward. Will do this again and recommend it to fri...

Herriott's certainly isn't a bad rental company to go with, I just wasn't impressed. First, during setup, they brought the wrong chairs. Thank goodness we had them set up 2 days prior to the event so there was still the entire next day for them...
to fix their mistake. Also, they didn't bring the correct tent supplies, and ended up asking my dad if he had any rope he could use. My dad isn't the one that puts up tents- It's you guys. You should come prepared. After all that, they said we couldn't have a door in the tent, which we were specifically told we could. During set up, Angel, the man in charge of setting it up, said it wasn't possible with this tent. They kept insisting that we sign whatever papers during their setup, but we refused to sign until everything we fixed and it was how we were told it'd be. In the end, the tent looked great, the setup just didn't go very smooth.

n delivery day. We didn't get a contract from them until 6 weeks out, which made my mom weary, but it all worked out. The only thing is we had to set the tables, chairs, etc. ourselves and that was not fun for me on my wedding day! Otherwise they were fantastic!
We used Herriotts for a mailbox card holder and an archway for our ceremony. Prices were reasonable, staff were great, and they delivered and picked up the archway.
