Deciding to host our wedding at Hideaway Cellars was an easy decision for us, but man did they deliver! Working with a company as large as Landmark Events Co. was something we were hesitant about due to their size, we were unsure if it would feel personal and intimate enough. It is important to take into consideration that this is a larger company and we did experience some staffing changes for our venue contacts throughout our planner but they always remained in close communication for those handoffs. The venue contact partnered seamlessly with our individual planner and attended in-person meetings. On the wedding day the staff was attentive, polite, kind and hard-working. The venue was represented as advertised and turned out to be a beautiful space that we transformed into our dream wedding. We loved attending the tasting dinners that were offered (for a fee) and all of the food was DELICIOUS! Several people commented on how great the food was and quite frankly we would have just been happy with mediocre meals but Herban Feast was fantastic! Everything we selected was delicious. Overall Hideaway was a dream place for our wedding!
The venue and all their team are absolute angels and a joy to work with! They know what they are doing! The food was so outstanding that all our guests keep mentioning it! And Natalie - She truly made our day everything we could every imagined and more! Thank you everyone!
The Foundry by Herban Feast was an INCREDIBLE wedding venue and we could not be happier with how our wedding day went! Their trustworthy coordinators went above and beyond to accommodate our specific logistical and dinner requests and their in house florist/designer blew us away! I'd highly recommend if you wanted a personal, curated wedding with the ease of a one-stop-shop.
Any questions?
The Foundry by Herban Feast and their whole team (including the floral team Herban Bloom) made our wedding an absolute dream. It was seamless perfection - the team was super responsive, accessible, flexible and make everything about you. Highlights: I added floral requests 2 days before the wedding and the HB team executed so swiftly. HF assigns a “go-to” person for you and your groom on the wedding day. We had Topher and he was absolutely amazing - my guests even raved about him. So accommodating and anticipated our every need. I 100% recommend this team for your special day. I doubt you’ll find anyone better!
I had heard of Herban Feast by working events for several years, so when their quote came back well within my budget for my wedding I was thrilled. The food they provided was amazing and they went out of their way to use a family heirloom chicken fryer for our reception. Roz was THE BEST to work with and helped keep everything so streamlined, smooth and made sure any changes were acknowledged quickly and on budget. I will absolutely use them again for other events I host and definitely recommend them for your wedding.
It's even more breathtaking in person than the photos. We were drawn to the rustic look and feel, but honestly you could dress it up any way you want. They are a bit of a one stop shop in that they also provide bar and catering and you can work with their other company, Herban Design Studio, for all your design needs which is great, no need to juggle a billion vendors. Also the food was AMAZING (we got compliments all night and we and our families are BIG foodies) and the bartenders knew what they were doing (again, great feedback all night!). Zero things went wrong on our wedding day, I had time to eat/drink/dance/socialize, and we didn't even have our own planner/coordinator, so that really says something about the venue.
Herban Feast catered our wedding, and they did an amazing job! I was so impressed by the level of professionalism of their staff, their efficiency, high level of service, and the quality of their food. For passed appetizers, we had the Kalbi beef bites (so tender!), the goat cheese tartlets (so flavorful!), and of course the crab cake bites (I could’ve eaten a dozen of these!). For the buffet, we had the beef tenderloin, thyme crusted halibut, sautéed gnocchi, some kind of arugula salad with delicate squash and picked onions (LOVED this salad!), and cider glazed seasonal vegetables. All of our guests raved about the food, and we’re so happy that we chose Herban Feast to pull off a great reception. Natalie was my main contact during the course of wedding planning, and she really went above and beyond to answer all of my questions, email responses right away, and to coordinate with my wedding coordinator and the venue to execute a flawless event. Their bartenders were awesome with our custom cocktails, as well. Wonderful job overall! Thank you, Herban Feast!
My husband and I could not have picked a more perfect venue for our wedding. We were planning our wedding from abroad (Rome and Seoul), with only a 6 month timeline. To say I was a bit stressed is an understatement. Natalie at Herban Feast was so incredibly personable and organized, that she immediately put my worries to rest. She responded back to my emails (even when they arrived in the middle of the night) within minutes. She thought of all the details that I didn't, and had ideas that added so much to our day. She happily whipped up layouts, offered suggestions and connected us with vendors we needed. And the venue itself?? Something out of a dream. Our guests were blown away at how gorgeous it was. The rustic exposed beams is just so romantic. This venue, the DELICIOUS food, the staff, and the service on our night can not be beat. I can not say enough good things about our experience.
The staff at the Foundry and Herban Feast Design were incredible. I've had numerous compliments about the flowers, food, design, and overall professionalism. They truly made my wedding perfect, and a memory to last a lifetime.
AMAZING !!! IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT!!! Our wedding day was truly the best day ever and Sodo Park was everything we'd imagine it would be. It was so beautiful from the flowers, the drapery, the vibe, the staff, servers, bartenders in front & behind the scene was so delightful. Our event coordinator Natalie Ryder was THE BEST!!! WE LOVE HER so much! She was there from planning from the early stages until execution. AAahhhhh I dream of this day again. It is so true that your wedding day flies by so savor every minute of it! REALLY!
We received so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful Sodo Park is, the food was delicious (Herban Feast) , the staff/servers/bartenders soo welcoming and polite and it was what we wanted. Brides & Grooms you will love this. This is totally Seattle vibe and being a Seattle girl born raised it was sooo me and sooo us. Five stars all the way. Getting married here was the BEST!
We got married here over labor day weekend, and the venue was absolutely stunning.
PROS
-Beautiful, lush, intimate garden feel that wasn't too formal or stuffy
-Lovely covered seating area to have your meal/reception
-Nice, large patio for a dancefloor
-Open, sprawling gardens for guests to explore
-Multiple choices in terms of where to hold the ceremony based on the size of your wedding
-Herban Feast is the only caterer through this venue. which is an amazing plus. Amazing catering service (probably the best in Seattle), and they will help coordinate many details of the wedding beyond food. We found our assigned wedding coordinator to be super helpful in helping us think through the entire day, from the schedule, to finer details like napkin colors and cake stands. All in all super professional, responsive, helpful, and amazing group of people.
THINGS TO CONSIDER
-It is on Vashon Island (only accessible by ferry), which is only a con if you have a bunch of family out of town. For us it was a pro, but something to be aware of as you are thinking of how your guests will travel to you.
-If you plan to have the ceremony in one of the gardens (which is most likely the case), there isn't a great rain backup option. For us we were lucky with the weather, but definitely something to think about depending on the month you want to get married.
We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at The Foundry and had a perfect experience from start to finish. We had the pleasure of working with Natalie to help coordinate our wedding. She was so responsive, helpful, and made sure we got everything we wanted on our big day. The food was delicious and we had guests commenting on it all night. The entire HF staff was wonderful, quick to get food out, and so polite to us and our guests. I cannot say enough how amazing it was to have a full service vendor - they did EVERYTHING. It made the planning much easier and stress-free!
We worked with their in-house Herban Design Studio for the majority of our decor & floral. Amy & Rebecca did an amazing job bringing our vision to life. Everything looked absolutely perfect and just the way I had always imagined. Thank you to the entire HF & HDS team for making our day flawless!!
My husband and I hosted our wedding, ceremony and reception, at The Foundry earlier this month and we had a perfect experience from start to finish! We loved working with Reese on the venue design and menu and with Amy on the beautiful flowers and decor. The food and wine were amazing - we're still getting compliments from friends and family - and the flowers were exactly what we planned together. On top of taking care of those details Reese and Amy were happy to recommend other vendors for use. We hired Sarah, from Eventful Moments, after she was recommended by Reese and Amy and couldn't have been happier. Reese and Amy were quick to respond to both emails and calls and we literally had the wedding planned within a few months of booking! If you want a truly relaxing wedding, where you don't have to worry about the small stuff, this is your venue! They take care of everything and the result is an amazing party for you and your family/friends. I can't say enough good things about them!
The entire team at Herban Feast made our wedding day at Sodo Park one for the books. They truly are incredibly talented and on top of every last detail. Not to mention, people couldn't stop talking about how spectacular the food was!
Herbanfeast did a fantastic job catering for my wedding! Everyone absolutely raved about the food. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My husband and I had our own server who brought us whatever we needed so we didn't have to be bothered getting up, as well as the wedding party.
They were very accommodating to people with food allergies or handicapped which really helped everything run seamlessly.
The communication with Taylor was great and she was always quick to answer any questions. I would definitely use them again!
PS- order the chocolate cheesecakes or dessert, it was all my guests could talk about :)
More than I ever dreamed of! The most perfect staff, wonderful food, and great location. So happy I got married here. Taylor was so helpful, accommodating and had the best personality! The staff were amazing and the evening went so well. I highly recommend The Foundry. Gorgeous venue, I couldn't be happier!
My wedding was the most amazing night thanks to Taylor and the Herban Feast team! They were so easy to work with, and everyone has said that my wedding was the most beautiful and fun wedding ever. They were willing to do whatever I wanted (like having a bag piper and an outdoor bourbon and cigar bar). The venue is beautiful and so big, with an upstairs bridal suite perfect for pre-ceremony chilling. I would highly recommend Herban Feast Sodo Park to any bride looking for a classy, stunning, and amazing wedding. I wish I could redo my wedding as I had the best time ever! Thanks Herban Feast!
My wife and I had our wedding at Sodo Park and we had almost all of your vendors in place except for floral. We were debating between Herban Feast and another option and then were sidetracked with other tasks. End result, we were still going back and forth with Herban Feast up to 3 weeks before our wedding and every time Herban Feast presented the final contract we kept making changes.
Despite how frustrating we must have been Amy and the Herban Feast team were incredibly punctual, helpful and responsive despite how last minute we were making things.
Come day of the results were astounding! We couldn't have been happier with all the final touches put in place for us. We didn't have an exact idea of what we wanted and just gave them a general direction we wanted to aim and it was exquisite! The aisle runners with floating candles combined with the amazing bouquet for my wife made me cry when she was coming down the aisle.
Not only did Amy have the perfect eye for the look we wanted but she even helped us put on our boutineers when we realized all of the guys were useless at it. She was more than happy to help despite the fact that we were pulling her away from her tasks.
I absolutely recommend Herban Feast to anyone looking for that perfect look when they don't know exactly what that look is. And for anyone having their event at Sodo Park I would say Herban Feast is a must as they are located in the back of the facility and do just as amazing of a job as the rest of the Sodo Park team.
Thank you so much Amy and Herban Feast team!
Sodo Park and Herban Feast were a seamless team from the early stages of planning, through the end of our wedding day. We loved the endless opportunities for décor, setup, drinks, food and even helped make our personalized dessert wish come true; who doesn't love homemade Pistachio and Blackberry gelato?! Not to mention, our guests are still RAVING about the passed hors d'oeuvres, family style dinner and specialty cocktail drinks, BEST WEDDING FOOD EVER. Sodo Park is an honest, organized and caring company that’s truly devoted to making your wedding day unforgettable. A huge thank you to our Event Service Coordinator, Taylor Dumas, all your help and ideas were so appreciated!!!
Since long before I was even engaged, I’ve known I wanted to get married at Sodo Park. It has such a unique look and a thoroughly Seattle vibe that perfectly fit the aesthetic I was going for. On top of that, everyone at Herban Feast was great to work with- from Matt, who coordinated our initial tour and booking, to Taylor, our planner and point person as we made decisions along the way, to Amy and James who ran the show day-of: everyone was warm, helpful, and made things easy and fun. I wouldn’t change a thing about the decision we made to get married at Sodo Park. And the food was amazing!
Not going to lie there were a couple moments where I freaked and didn’t think certain things were going to happen or felt uneasy about some of the communication but in the end Herban Feast came through amazingly. There was a hiccup the day of the wedding with my rentals but the day of coordinator from HF saved the day! Thank you so much for all your hard work and the food was amazing so beyond plenty - we did family style and everybody loved it!
Darby and the rest of the Herban Feast crew at the Foundry were amazing to work with. She was quick to respond, super helpful in answering questions, and willing to work with us to customize our menu to exactly what we wanted. The wedding went off without a hitch and we couldn't have been more pleased with the dramatic barn door entrance, beautiful setting, and delicious food! Our signature cocktails and the stunning drink tree were showstoppers that all our guests complimented us on. It was the best we could've hoped for!
Simply amazing! A beautiful rustic yet elegent venue, with great service, clear pricing, and wonderful food. My guests are still raving that it was the best wedding meal that they have ever had. The venue is so unique that it is stunning, even without a whole lot of flowers and other decoration. I can't recommend them highly enough. Go see the venue, and if it fits you at all, do it! You won't regret it.
Sodo Park truly was such a magical place to get married. I’m beyond impressed with the space, staff, food and overall service. I’m so happy that I had my ceremony and reception at Sodo Park (June 2017 wedding, 170 guests). I had the distinct pleasure of working with Taylor Dumas – if you are lucky enough to have her as your Event Services Coordinator your wedding is guaranteed to be perfect. We were beyond impressed with her, she is so organized, thoughtful and overall incredible at her job. I couldn’t have had my day without her. Overall, my entire experience from start to finish was incredible and all our guests we super impressed. The space itself is stunning and we had comments that the food is the best anyone had ever had at a wedding. Would highly recommend Sodo Park (especially Taylor) as a wedding venue, I’m so so happy that I had my wedding there.
Herban Feast-Sodo Park made all of my wedding dreams come to life! I could not have dreamt of a more perfect wedding day! Not only is the venue GORGEOUS, the staff all went out of their way to make sure every little detail was taken care of for us, and the food was A-MAZ-ING!!!
We just had our wedding last night 7.1.17 and we have loved working with everyone at SoDo Park from the beginning. Rosalyn was our venue coordinator and she was incredibly helpful and responsive, willing to answer any of our questions and help with everything we needed. The venue was absolutely beautiful, the wait staff were wonderful and our guests even commented on how nice they were, the food was delicious and we can't recommend them highly enough. We also went with their Herban Bloom and Design for flowers and décor and they did such a beautiful job. Our flowers were so fresh, color combinations perfect and so well organized!
A few weeks ago we held our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception at Sodo Park. We had about 170 guests attending from all over the country. The venue was very hip and beautifully appointed with draping and little Italian lights for that added class and sparkle. However, our food service experience was not consistent with the $200+ cost per person we paid. We had expected the food to be served hot or at least very warm. It was neither. The roasted vegetables were served cold, and I mean "refrigerator" cold. At first, I thought I made an error ordering the side dish, but later found out the vegetables were supposed to be served hot. The timing of the food service was off. A half hour lapsed between the time the salad was served and the platters of food were placed on the tables. The guests were getting a bit anxious.l In addition, many of our guests complained about the long lines at the bar, since the mix drinks were rather "lite", and they had to continually go back to the bar for refills.
Having said all this, we would recommend the venue. However, we would strongly recommend having Herban Feast (the caterer) assign someone on-site responsible for quality control and insuring that the food and service were nothing short of excellent. As parents of the bride, we did not expect to have to go to the kitchen in search of someone to help resolve theses issues.
SPECTACULAR! We received amazing service from the original tasting, planning, menu selection, servers, bartenders, you name it, they were AMAZING. We had several guests tell us that this was the best wedding food they EVER had and I have to agree. They were always on top of everything and made the day seamless. We didn't even see them clean up and leave. Thank you Ayisha, Danae and Liz. I would have them cater any other event that I had in the Seattle area. WELL DONE HERBAN FEAST....
We had our ceremony and reception at Sodo Park by Herban Feast. I loved that they took care of everything from food and drinks to lighting and extra décor rentals. They worked directly with my florist and photographer, making communication smooth and simple. The space was dramatic and warm at the same time, creating the perfect feel, and the flip from ceremony to reception was flawless.
Everyone raved about the food and we were so glad they were organized about how to serve and structure the meal so that my husband and I weren't starving and also got to taste the food. We had family style, and it worked very well - everyone ate at almost the exact same time, there was plenty of food, and it fostered more conversation.
The bridal suite and grooms room were excellent additions for us, and we loved how the space fit our party of >200. I would recommend Sodo Park to any couple with a large wedding party!

Hi Samantha, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. It was an honor to work with you and assist in the coordination and execution of your big day! We wish you the best.
We had our reception at The Foundry on 2/25/17. We did a buffet and had about 125 guests. The Foundry has many options for floorplan as it has different rooms you can utilize and rent. It's a wonderful mix of urban contemporary and rustic - so it was the perfect fit for me (contemporary) and my husband (rustic).
Best part of all - the staff! Danae and Ayisha are absolutely amazing - low pressure, very kind and easy to get along with, sweet, patient, knowledgeable and responsive. The wait staff/servers/bartenders that served the night of our reception were amazing . Very attentive, cordial, professional, observant and helpful. Food was deeee-lish! We did a chose the beef and halibut and the parmesan mashed potatoes. Big hits!
Sodo Park was not only beautiful but the staff was also amazing!!! I could not say enough good things but here are some highlights:
1) The building itself is beautiful and doesn't need a lot of added decor: We got married in February so outside pictures were off the table. Sodo Park had so many beautiful nooks and with different woodwork, windows, and pops of colors that the photographers had no problem finding lots of different backdrops for stunning photos.
2) The staff is very helpful: We worked with Ayisha throughout the planning process and she did an amazing job walking us through everything and making sure everything turned out how we wanted. At no point did we ever feel pressured to make a decision or feel like she was pushing add-ons. It really felt like she was there to help and not sell us things.
3) THE FOOD!: The food is phenomenal and very well priced. We looked at multiple caterers and everytime Herban Feast came in at the same or lower in price per person.
4) The ease of everything: Included in your quote is linens, tables, flatware, setup, take down, food and beverage, personnel, and gratuity which checks off a lot of items on the planning to-do list.
The only negative is that they don't allow for any outside food or beverage before the wedding while you are in the bridal loft and their options for those are quite expensive. However, it was nice to have that all setup before we arrived and didn't have worry about bringing anything.

Hi Stephanie, Thank you for the thoughtful feedback and the kind words! We were honored to take part in your big day and are so glad to hear that you enjoyed the entire experience!
The venue was gorgeous and perfect for our wedding. Huge lofted ceilings, exposed wood beams. They offer a lot of options of ways to dress it up or down, such as draping and extras from the design studio located there. It's owned by Herban Feast catering company, so you have to use their catering, however, it was absolutely delicious. We got so many compliments on how fantastic the food was.
Pros: lots of options to decorate, food was delicious, receptions and ceremony in one place with an easy turnover, staff was wonderful to work with
Cons: definitely a little on the more expensive side, but cost can vary greatly depending on extras you rent, decoration (draping), and menu for the reception
We used Herban Feast's Sodo Park venue for our wedding on November 8, 2014. The Seattle location was key, as we wanted something in the city. Also vital was capacity; we had 225 guests. Lastly, good food was another priority and having tried their food previously, it was a no-brainer.
The space is great - wood beams, a restored factory, and smaller lounge areas make this ideal for hosting guests of all ages.
The staff at Sodo Park were great from planning to day-of staff. They make it easy and fun!
Sodo Park and Herban Feast is a great way to go if you want a fun event that requires little coordination on your part. I did a lot of the decor and personalized pieces, but did not want to worry about food, linens, tables, flatware, etc., so having them handle those logistics let us truly enjoy the night!
Definitely the best in Seattle!! Their food is delicious--we got so many compliments from our guests. They were also so helpful, flexible, and easy to work with. At the beginning of our planning process, I contacted a ton of local caterers and they were not only pretty much the only ones who responded promptly but also so much more personalized than the other vendors. Highly recommended!!
Our wedding at SODO was practically perfect. Matt Tamayo was our venue coordinator and Laura Gram was our day of coordinator (who I would also recommend if you're having a wedding here).
The Good:
There was a TON of good. Too much I think to post here. We had a lot of questions as we did not have a wedding planner, so it was very much a DIY when it came to planning. They answered all our questions and let us bring in our own decor and offered up some of their decor items as well. All of their stock is beautiful (chairs, tables, etc). The space doesn't need that much help in terms of decorations - its stunning already.
Our guests commented on these three things: the food was beyond amazing, the caterers and bartenders were super friendly, and it looked phenomenal. They were right on all three accounts.
The "Bad":
Well this place was a little pricy, although really thats not unusual for such a grand wedding venue.
When they hit our "specialty cocktail" limit (of 150), they pulled me aside and said they had all the ingredients to make more and asked if I wanted to purchase more... now I would think that if they over estimate how much ingredients they needed, then they should just have made the cocktails until THAT ran out, no? Well, I didn't buy more, but I did ask if I could keep getting them for free and they said yes (Bride trumps all :-) )
Our vegetarians had a plated meal, but whoever was in charge of serving them dropped the ball - I had to check in with them to make sure that they got served.
OVERALL:
Amazing. Beautiful. Delicious. Worth it.
We got married at Sodo Park on a cold day in February. The whole weekend was tense because icy weather on the East Coast caused many guests to be delayed, and from the time I arrived at Sodo Park and went to the wedding staging area upstairs I could feel the pressure. Luckily we had James taking care of us. He was like our own personal Mr. Wolf from Pulp Fiction-- going out of his way to make sure that we had everything we needed and were comfortable. Gradually, the tension due to outside circumstances subsided and we could focus on the wedding, which was exactly what we needed.
The rest of the night was a whirlwind, but throughout, James made sure that we stayed on schedule and hit our marks. I thought it was an isolated case of exceptional service, but I kept hearing from guests throughout the night how great the other people on the staff were and how they had exactly the same experience even though it wasn't their wedding.
In the end it was a perfect night--not because we were able to check off all of the requests we had made prior to it, but because of all requests that were met on the spot that we had never anticipated.
Sent a message to Herban Feast with limited information (guest size) and asked for a general quote when I was comparing local venues for on-site ceremony + reception. Owner BJ responded right away with the relevant information. Much appreciated.
My wedding was last week on the steamship Virginia V, and I have to say that everything about Herban Feast's service was outstanding. The food was beautiful, unique, fresh and so flavorful; and through some unimaginable wizardry, didn't seem at all diminished by the last-minute two-hour delay in the sailing of the ship (and therefore serving timeline). While I am certain the lengthy delay was very stressful for the crew, they didn't show it at all. They were perfectly attentive, gracious, and yet unobtrusive. My glass was never empty with a variety of drinks, and the crew captain was always handy with updates and consultations.
I received a TON of compliments from my guests about the food, and heard that many went back for seconds (we had the strawberry brie bites, crab cakes, and a buffet with the market salad, salmon, beef loin, gnocchi, and roasted vegetables). Finally - in addition to composed appetizers and dinner plates - we got two 'composed' boxes of leftovers to take home (which was perfect, because it was hard to relax and focus enough to properly enjoy the meal during the wedding)!
I chose Herban Feast because they were so highly rated, and I wanted great food and service that I didn't have to worry about. Their service was not inexpensive, but absolutely worth every penny. Bravo!
Sodo Park is amazing. Our wedding was everything we could ask for and much of it has to do with the venue. You pay for what you get here and its quite expensive. Don't be afraid to ask for what you want.
Matt our coordinator was the best part of the process, he was kind & professional. My only suggestion would be to have your contact person there the day of your wedding. Some wires got crossed on ours and I think that would have been avoided if the coordinator was there.
All in all, amazing venue!
From the second I walked into Sodo Park, I knew this was the place I wanted to get married. The majestic ceilings, rustic beams and overall warm and inviting ambience was exactly the look and feel my husband and I wanted for our wedding. And, to boot -- the food is amazing! Not to mention their unbeatable beer and wine bar package...we were so lucky to share Sodo Park with our friends and family, who were so impressed by the space and the absolute professionalism of their staff. I could really go on forever. If you are even pondering having your wedding here, I promise it will be the best (and most relieving) decision you'll make in all your wedding planning!
Not only is Sodo Park absolutely BEAUTIFUL, the food that Herban Feast serves is AMAZING! The venue itself is simple and gorgeous, yet with little touches can be transformed into anything! Everyone in the venue is so friendly and accommodating. I wish I could relive my special day because it was everything I wanted and more!
This place is absolutely full service. If you are like me and want fewer moving parts and serious wow factor, this is the place for you. Yes, it's expensive. Like, new car expensive. But it is worth it to have everything in one amazing venue. We did our pictures, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception there. The night was an AMAZING success. The food was delicious, the drinks were plentiful, the transitions were quick and painless, and the staff was present but almost invisible. Everything that I wanted to happen that night did.
They assign an event coordinator to your wedding who is there to answer every question you have, and as a bride, there are a LOT of questions. We worked with Kristen and she was fantastic; she answered questions thoroughly, had helpful advice (when we asked for it), and problem solved some tricky situations. She talked me off the ledge several times.
I had never seen the space set up for a reception before, only corporate events and preset for wedding ceremonies, but when I walked in the door being announced as Mrs., it was pure MAGIC. The venue looked like the perfect blend of rustic and funky, modern and traditional. It was breathtaking. I really can't say enough amazing things about the venue and the exceptional care and attention to detail they put into our event.
The only hitches we had were about the alcohol menu. This changes frequently and we found out only a week before our event that the specialty cocktail that we wanted (a John Daly: sweet tea vodka and lemonade) was going to be $5.50 a drink instead of the original $4 a drink. This was quite disheartening. We also were very excited about one of the wine options then found out later that it was unavailable, which was awful because it is our favorite wine as a family that we drink at all holidays, etc. (La Crema Chardonnay...yum). Eventually they found 3 cases of it for us at no additional charge (after I let them know how important it was to us).
Overall, I was thrilled with the venue and as the night went on they took such good care of us. There was one server who was in charge of our sweetheart table (just the two of us) and she kept our plates warm while we were socializing, she let us know when events were about to happen, she kept our glasses full of water and wine all night, etc. The bartenders were FANTASTIC and made everyone feel welcome and my guests could not stop talking about the venue and the food. It was amazing!
Overall, I'm THRILLED with the service, value, and level of personal care and attention we received. I loved the venue and would recommended it as highly as possible if your budget allows for it.
I could not have been happier with my experience at Herban Feast. The food was truely amazing. I got so many complements on all the food.
Beautiful venue, helpful staff, AMAZING food, a good place to have a party. We planned our wedding for a little over a year from a distance, and they were very accommodating and on the ball for organization. It was the perfect place for us to celebrate our wedding - wouldn't change a single thing!
Having our wedding at Herban Feast was one of the best decisions we made. Not only is the space absolutely gorgeous- the staff is terrific to work with. On the day of, everything went absolutely seamlessly. We got lots of compliments on the food, the space, and guests felt like they were truly taken care of. Highly recommend!
Herban Feast creates awesome, beautiful food. We hit up their Fresh Bistro in West Seattle before making our caterer decision, and it was an easy decision after that. Everything is delicious, well thought-out, and fun and creative. They were willing to try to make anything we were interested in, which we did not find with other caterers we talked to. We hardly tasted half the food at our wedding, but the servers were awesome and made sure we had something to eat and drink the entire night. They also set up our cupcakes, which were from Cupcake Royale, which saved us on setup costs, and allowed us to provide the alcohol so we could buy from Costco. The cost per head that I marked here includes all of our rentals (linens, chairs and a few tables) and service fees & taxes, and I have to admit I am having some post-wedding sticker shock - $122 per guest! Cost of food & bevarages alone were $57 per guest. We served a mixture of tray-passed and station appetizers, with enough food to serve as dinner. We did feel that we truly got what we paid for - our coordinator met with us several times for site visits and a free tasting session, and even brought our event lead for the second site visit to go over the details. My one complaint might be that our coordinator did not give us enough guidance on how much food to provide. We ended up with TONS of leftovers, which they did give to us at the end of the night, but I still felt like I spent a lot more than I needed to and my sister-in-law and I spent a lot of time on my wedding night after the reception packing up food when I would have preferred to spend time partying with friends & family. Overall though, I have no regrets and would highly recommend Herban Feast to any bride & groom.
We used Herban feast for our August wedding and they were fantastic! The owner BJ was very professional and worked with us to meet our price points and the lead on our event , Mary, took care of every detail. They did a great job with presentation (food and tables), everything looked beautiful, and the food was great. Lots of my guest commented on how good the food was. Most importantly, they were very low stress- once I explained what I wanted, Mary took care of everything... and made it better than what I was expecting. I would highly recommend Herban feast- they may be a little more $ (although I didn't find that they really were, and we also did family style which was a little more $), but it is really worth it to know that you are getting good service and good food. My only negative comment was that they recommended our DJ (sounds unlimited) who weren't great... but that didn't impact my wonderful experience with Herban feast!
I can't not praise this place enough! During the planning process, everyone I worked with at Sodo was beyond helpful and prompt in their responses. I was especially grateful for this as I planned my wedding from California. Matt provides great customer service and even referred me to a great day of wedding planner, Laura Gram.
As the day grew close, our head count had dropped so much that we were well under the minimum budget. Matt worked with me to help us add a few extras that really made the night extra special and got us back on track again.
The day of the wedding, I received nothing but compliments on the beauty of the venue and the kindness of the staff. The best part: there was never a line at the bar! Everyone that worked there was absolutely amazing. And the food tasted delicious!
If you want a truly gorgeous wedding that goes off without a hitch and impresses your guests with the sights, tastes and feeling, I definitely recommend Sodo Park.
I love Sodo Park and Herban Feast! They helped make my wedding absolutely flawless and to this day people still talk about how AMAZING the food was. This is a full service operation. You won't be disappointed. They are so flexible and accommodating - these people know weddings. The whole day went by without a hiccup and I am so thankful I chose to have our wedding there. Thank you Sodo Park! Unbelievable food and amazing staff.
We wanted GOOD food that people would actually eat and yet we wanted it done with class. They did sliders, mac & cheese bites, crabcakes and then we did a gourment do it yourself taco bar. I'm still getting compliments on how much people loved the food - they went back for 3 helpings!
Can't complain about anything. The food was fantastic and everyone was very professional. BJ and his team are top notch. And the sweet potato crab cakes are to die for. Yum.
Sodo Park by Herban feast is a beautiful venue for couples who want something a little bit unique. The crackling wood walls and high ceiling give this space a "barn" feeling without, well, actually being a barn! Despite its size (this place can hold around 300 people, I believe) it still feels cozy and romantic. The staff is SUPER helpful. Reese was our contact at Herban Feast and she did so much more than I expected. She arranged for and coordinated outside vendors, searched high and low for a few specialty items we wanted, and even helped us create a schedule of events for our wedding. She really helped walk us through the entire planning experience, always answering phone calls and emails quickly and cheerfully. Plus, the food was delicious, and the meal service was paced perfectly. I could not have been happier with Sodo Park as our wedding venue.
What I loved about Sodo Park is that so much was included in renting the venue, the catering, linens, furniture, etc. So although it may seem expensive, it actually included so much that we saved time and money spent elsewhere. Reese was so helpful in the planning stages. The evening was so beautiful and magical, we got soo many compliments on what a beautiful and unique venue it was. The service was really great, too!
Sodo Park and Herban Feast were amazing. The venue is beautiful, the staff is organized and attentive, and the food is incredible. I had so many people tell me that my wedding was the best they had ever been to!
Words cannot begin to describe how wonderful Herban Feast Catering was for our wedding! The food: fresh, delicious, organic---everyone wanted to lick their plates! plus the service staff were professional, went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed, and fast as well as efficient. My guests called my wedding 'the event of the year' often citing the food as the epitome of deliciousness. And what the guests DON'T know: Herban feast was competitive with the other companies I had contacted. Need I say more??
