St. Luke's, constructed in 1686, is the oldest church building in Virginia and one of the oldest Anglican church building in North America. Residing in Smithfield, the 43-acres National Patriotic Shrine, park, and cemeteries are located next to an abundance of hotels, restaurants, and indoor reception sites. Not having an active congregation since 1836, the church building was restored twice and since 1956 has operated as a historic site and museum. The site is available for weddings, outdoor receptions, baptisms, engagement shoots, bridal portraits, or other special events and is open to all couples.
