Historic St. Luke's Church

Collin and the team at Historic Saint Luke's are absolutely fantastic. As a Wedding Planner, I have handled events at many different venues. After having quite a few weddings on site, HSLs quickly became a company wide favorite! His team consistently goes above and beyond to offer great customer service and smiling faces. We absolutely love them and their gorgeous venue!

We could not have had a more wonderful experience than we did getting married at St Lukes. The staff bent over backwards to make our day special and easy. My husband loves history, and we were both charmed by the location and setting of this church. We didn't decorate at all because we loved the building itself so much and wanted to let it speak for itself. Thank you, Collin and friends for giving us the wedding of our dreams. We are thrilled that our memories will be embedded in the stones of St. Lukes.

St. Luke's is such a wonderful, beautiful place! I couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else! Opening those doors is like stepping back in time. The staff are all very welcoming and Collin was an absolute joy to work with!

So what's NOT to love about this place?! From its luciously green grounds to the stunning stained glass- my husband and I both fell in love with this place. No other venue even touched its unique beauty. My husband wanted to be married in a church and let's be real, most churches are just ugly on the inside these days! Collin was a pleasure to work with. With only a few short months to plan our wedding he did everything he could to make it the best day ever. Smithfield is perfect for out of town guests too! It's a quant little town that has SO much to offer. The close knit community of Smithfield allowed Collin to direct us to the best vendors in town. From his recommendations we were able to find the perfect wedding planner and organist! There is plenty of room for parking, which was important to me. I feel like all the weddings I've been to I had to drive around for 15 min to find a place to park and then walk another 15. Plus, they give you a sweet little gift on your wedding day! Seriously I could go on... you will NOT regret this choice ❤️

My parents were married at St. Luke's 40 years ago and as soon as I was engaged St Luke's was my first call during the wedding planning process. Colin and the rest of the staff were amazing and always available when we needed suggestions or help planning the event. The church has some restrictions but that's expected as it is a historic site and they certainly helped to accommodate and make suggestions to accomplish what we were looking for. They're suggestions of vendors paid off greatly (flowers) as they already know the restrictions and so it was worry free for me! My photographer was able to stand in the choir loft to be able to photograph the ceremony which was great. I highly recommend St Luke's as they are professional every step of the way and it was one less thing I had to worry about while planning our big day.

Beautiful church and grounds Just know that if you use this church for your ceremony your photographers cannot take pictures until after it is done.

The actual church was beautiful and perfect for our ceremony. The only issue I had with the whole venue was the wedding coordinator for the church was too involved and was stepping on my wedding planners toes a lot.

If you appreciate history and the meaning of this building, this is an incredibly beautiful place for a wedding ceremony. They do not allow photography during the ceremony but plenty of photographs afterward make this place absolutely beautiful. They are great to work with and, though there are a lot of restrictions, it is an amazing location. I am so glad we spent the money to have the ceremony here.
