Hotel Republic San Diego, Autograph Collection

This venue is stylish, sexy and elegant all at the same time. We had the ceremony at the roof top bar called "The Beach". Chairs were in the sand, fire pits all around and it had a view of the city. We didn't have to have the ceremony actually at the beach and then move the reception to somewhere else. Afterwards, everyone walked to the second floor for the reception. There were plenty of great places for photo opportunities just on the second floor. The food was fantastic. I got the steak, mahi mahi and pesto pasta for guests to choose from. Everyone loved it. The room was a great space for about 100 people plus a jazz band and a dance floor. We opted for the VIP space behind the lobby for our "after party". Cake, coffee and tea were served. We had a DJ and danced until midnight. There was also a second round of sober up type food that we decided to have served around 11pm. The downstairs also gave us access to the outside patio. The whole area is so nicely decorated that we didn't need a second set of decorations. We just used the table flower arrangements from the reception on the tables and decorated the entry way. My guests were calling and emailing me weeks afterward saying it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Everyone thought we spent much more than we really did.
