The venue is beautiful and was perfect for our wedding! Dewayne, the venue manager, was an absolute dream to work with and help us in so many ways! I would recommend getting this place for any of your party or event needs.

This is such a beautiful historic venue and my new husband and I had a blast at our wedding here. The venue host, Dewayne Ross, went above and beyond for the entire year we were planning our wedding to help us make sure everything was in place ...
for our special day, and was so responsive to all of our messages and (many) changes. When logistics fell apart with some other vendors and our timeline got delayed on the day of, he was very flexible with extending our event so we could enjoy the dance floor with our guests. As others have said, this venue is very DIY, so be prepared to either hire full service planning or do a lot of your own research and pay attention to a lot of details that may not seem obvious if you aren’t a wedding industry professional. If you’re up for this the end result is SO worth it. It is really a beautiful place. Thank you Dewayne and Heights Fire Station!!

The Houston Heights Fire Station was the perfect wedding venue for me and my husband! We had a wedding of ~100 guests, so we used the downstairs area for cocktail hour, the upstairs for dinner, and the downstairs again for cake & dancing. Deway...
ne Ross, the coordinator at HFS, was a joy to work with - so responsive to every question and tour request. We even ended up booking him to handle our linen and furniture rentals. The venue itself is clean and beautifully maintained - the perfect vibe for our classic wedding. The best part is the venue is BYOB - we could buy alcohol from Total Wine and have our caterer serve it - which helped us easily customize our bar menu and save A LOT of money. Highly recommend!

I got married January 18, 2020. Yes, it’s a bit late for a review, but I finally am going on my honeymoon (on our 1 year anniversary) and have time on the flight to thank my vendors. I initially fell in love with the Houston Heights Fire Statio...
n due to its layout, affordability, location, and most importantly, it was a blank canvas and location that would allow me to bring all of my own vendors. There aren’t many places in Houston that allow you bring all of your own vendors. When I signed the Houston Heights Fire Station, the coordinator at the time (more so just a financial manager) was an older lady, who was very sweet, but hands off. I have to admit, I was a bit nervous of how hands off she was. To my surprise the Houston Heights Fire Station hired a full -time coordinator, Dewayne, and his helper, Elizabeth. Boy, are they a blessing to this place! They were SO AWESOME to work with! They helped with the layout of my reception upstairs and downstairs, let me come in multiple times to take measurements and see how certain décor looked, and even let me set-up the day before the reception since no one else had the venue booked the day before. Dewayne and Elizabeth made my planning such a breeze and helped me create my dream reception! I can’t thank them enough for their helpfulness, kindness, and overall great personalities. It was truly a pleasure working with them! I HIGHLY recommend anyone to book the Houston Heights Fire Station for a memorable event, and great people to work with.

We hosted a sweet reception for our nikkah at this venue. I fell in love with it as soon as I stepped inside the venue. They are INCREDIBLY FLEXIBLE with food, decor, music... etc! I haven't seen very many venues that are so comfortable with DI...
Y decor. Absolutely loved my experience. I visited MULTIPLE times with my friends, family members, and catering team to plan it out perfectly. The venue manager was also very involved and helped us plan the logisitics to avoid any additional fees. He gave us a lot of guidance and was very easy to work with. I had the event of my dreams and would highly recommend this venue.
We did a "cocktail hour" with non alcoholic beverages and plenty of Hors d'oeuvres downstairs and held the lunch and photos upstairs. It was perfect and felt intimate. The amount of natural light paired with the gorgeous ceiling and wood floors are whimsical and perfect.

I loved this venue! It was affordable compared to others and you could do all the food/alcohol and deco however you wanted. I am in the food business so we brought in all of our preferred caterers, flowers, cake people, DJ we wanted etc. If ...
you want a venue who will list it all out for you this place may not work for you but be prepared to pay way expensive somewhere else. The venue turned out beautiful and I loved how I could do my ceremony down stairs then reception upstairs. You get 2 visits beforehand to work on your layout and also have the venue from 9am-2am. Follow all rules on the agreement and you will get your deposit back. Easy as that.

My husband and I were thrilled to host our reception at this unique venue in a part of Houston which is fabulous to show to out of town guests. The cost of the Firehouse is amazing-$1600 when booked at least 6 months in advance. We were able ...
to use the property from 9 am-2am, and the space is fantastic-lovely and charming. There is an elevator for access to the second floor should anyone need to avoid the stairs. The venue asks that you rent their chairs and tables (reasonably priced), and they recommend a cleaning company to use the following day. We recived our deposit back and were thrilled with this space! We did A LOT of things on our own to make it work, of course. We needed to bring in the alcohol, sound system, linens, food, cupcakes, and decor, but it worked out perfectly! Would not have picked another place:)

d vintage posters adorning the walls, and upstairs is an elegant, wood-floored room bathed in lots of natural light from the many windows. We used the ground floor for our ceremony and cocktail hour, then moved the party upstairs for dinner and dancing. Planning was a little tricky as the fire station is only available for viewing on Saturday mornings. However, the management was very helpful and responded quickly to email and telephone queries. The price of the venue cannot be beat, and we were glad to be able to bring in our own alcohol and use vendors of our own choosing.
