My now spouse and I have very little dance experience. We learned about Helene through a referral from a friend. Helene worked with us to figure out the best song and given our experience level crafted choreography that we could handle. During our lesson she was very patient and worked with us to make sure we were comfortable with what we had to practice before parting ways. Our first dance was successful!
Our lesson was quick, informative, and fun. Helene came prepared with very achievable but sweet choreo and recorded our final attempt as a reference to practice more at home. Highly recommend for those of all skill levels!

Helene came prepared with choreography for us that was elegant yet attainable for two non-dancers! We practiced for about an hour and a half with her and she recorded the video for us so we could practice in the weeks leading up to the wedding.
We had put off our dance lessons between work and my husband being nervous about them, and we were getting down to the wire. Luckily, I found Helene! She offered a "one and done" style service, where you have one meeting with her to learn a choreographed number, which was perfect for us. I had a little experience with choreography (although all solo and none of it remotely recent!) and my husband had no dance experience. We met Helene in a local park, and went over what she had choreographed for us. She was super nice and great at walking us through it step by step, making sure we understood. Once we had run through it several times and got the general hang of it, she took a video for us so that we would be able to practice at home. And that we did! The number she choreographed for us was simple enough but looked impressive. With practice, we were able to pull it off at our wedding without a hitch. Some of our guests even cried they were so moved. We could not have done it without Helene's fantastic choreography and instruction. We both highly recommend her!

Helene is awesome!! She put together a beautiful, easy to learn first dance and was so helpful and patient as we learned it. The whole process was seamless - she's very responsive so scheduling was a breeze, and she's knowledgeable and kind so learning the dance was much easier than we anticipated. Helene was AMAZING!!! My fiance and I knew we wanted to do a choreographed first dance (to ABBA, no less) - not only did Helene choreograph an easy to learn first dance, she helped us figure out where exactly to cut the cover and mix with the original song. We met at a park to learn the dance and Helene filmed us - we used that video to practice until the wedding. Practicing was one of our favorite parts of prepping for the wedding and helped us destress. Our guests loved it and we had a blast! Would highly recommend Helene, especially if you don't necessarily have time built in for multiple lessons before the wedding.

Helene was so kind and welcoming! My partner and I had no experience whatsoever and she taught us a gorgeous dance in less than an hour. On the actual wedding day, we remembered every step and it went perfectly. Helene took COVID protocols seriously, was LGBTQ+ friendly, and I can’t say enough good things about her. Helene was excellent. My fiancé and I have not ever done any choreographed dances before, and she made it super easy and fun for the both of us! Helene was amazing! We didn't have much time to spend on dance lessons, so Helene's format was perfect for us. In a single lesson she taught us the dance and helped us practice it until we had it down. She then takes a video of you doing the dance on your phone - which was ingenious! After our lesson we didn't get the chance to practice for a few weeks and had forgotten most of it, but we simply played the video in the background while we practiced and it quickly came back to us. The dance was easy for us to learn, with fairly simple moves, but choreographed, which was exactly what we were going for. Our dance was a hit! And the process was really fun. I would definitely recommend using Helene - especially if you are on a time crunch or too busy to attend multiple lessons.
Helene was awesome! My husband and I requested a very non traditional dance. (The dance from Pulp Fiction) Helene had to learn it herself before teaching it to us. She did a wonderful job and the dance killed at the wedding!

Helene is amazing! I strongly recommend going to Helene if you don’t know how to a dance or unsure of how to start your wedding dance. My husband and I were clueless about our wedding dance but Helene made it very easy for us to learn the steps. We really loved our experience with her; she made it fun! I’ll definitely go back to her for any other dance lesson. She is great!

Helene is amazing!! She came over to our apartment and was fully prepared with dance moves for our song of choice. She makes learning incredibly easy and fun. It only took us an hour to learn the dance and she did a video on our phone so that we can rehearse leading up to the big day. I highly recommend using Helene!!
Helene did an amazing job at creating our dance. We had a tough song "Crush" by Dave Matthews Band. We told her what parts we liked from the song, and she was able to put something together that didn't require us to have any dance experience. We learned our dance in two hours, and we practiced every other day. My husband was happy that we didn't have to dance like high schoolers and it surprised our guests. The lesson was money well spent. My husband and I still flirtaciously dance to our wedding song. Thanks again Helene!!!

I am sure getting a choreographed dance and lesson from Helene will be one of the better investments we have made with our wedding. We chose an instrumental song that we had no idea how to dance to. We looked into other vendors but didn't want to spend our evenings sitting in traffic so we could go to multiple lessons and have the whole experience end up feeling like a chore. With Helene we sent her the song, she made suggestions on how to edit it so it wouldn't feel long to the guests, and she came up with choreography that makes us look great and we were able to pick up on. She sent us a video of our dance within 24 hours of the lesson and we could not be happier with the whole process. Now we can practice our dance in the privacy of our own home, and according to our schedule. I highly, highly recommend Helene!
Helene is amazing! I took ballet classes when I was a kid and my fiance prefers sports talk radio rather than music (honestly, he can't hear a beat if his life depended on it)! This is the extent of our ability to dance. We had never danced together in our lives and were very nervous about the first dance at the wedding reception.
But we put our hopes in Helene's hands, and she did not let us down! We had sent her the song and a youtube video of a dance we liked and she took it from there! She choreographed the dance based on the lyrics, not the beat so that my fiance could follow along and remember the steps. After about an hour and a half, she had taught us a 2.5 minute dance and videoed it for us so we could practice leading up to the big day.

My biggest wedding fear was having a lame first dance...and this was immediately dissolved when meeting Helene. The process could not have been easier...you pick a song, she puts together a routine, you spend a couple of hours under her guidance learning the routine...which even my husband said was fun...she videotapes the routine so that you can practice at home (which was also a lot of fun)....and a couple of weeks later at our wedding our guests were standing clapping and cheering
I only had one week until I had to leave for my wedding in México and we hadn´t found an inexpensive and practical option for our first song dancing lessons that didn´t require weeks of practice. At that point, my fiancé wanted to improvise but I could picture us swaying through the whole song.. boring!
Then I found I Do Wedding Dances and Helene was so accommodating and flexible, we had our two-hour lesson a few days later and that was enough! She is professional, patient, and very encouraging! We took the video home and practiced once more and on our big day we were confident and everyone was impressed. I highly recommend her!
Helene is great! We told her our song choice for the first dance and within a week she had a routine put together. We spent about 3 hours one Sunday afternoon with her and were able to get the dance down perfectly! She even took a video of us doing the dance so we could practice it later.
