A RESTAURANT IN CHICAGO, IL

About Us

Il Porcellino, in Chicago, Illinois, is all about love. This neighborhood Italian restaurant is filled with romance and art. If a rustic, family-style celebration with music and dancing sounds like your perfect wedding night, this is a great spot to tie the knot.

Overhead, tons of string lights create an atmosphere that’s informal and so intimate at the same time. Golden lighting mixes with warm wood, classic brick and elegant chandeliers to set the mood for romance. Wedding photos highlight beautiful moments of laughter and shared looks of love. The Tuscan-inspired decor provides a lot of inspiration for memorable pictures.

And, of course, every party needs mouthwatering food and good wine. Il Porcellino’s delicious offerings make it a highlight for rehearsal dinners of any size. The restaurant itself has a capacity of up to 150 guests for a major "celebrazione."

What You Should Know

It goes without saying that the food is big part of what makes Il Porcellino such a memorable venue. If you prefer passed hors d’oeuvres, they’re priced by the dozen. Reviews definitely recommend trying the Tuscan cheese bread. Individual portions of pizza are a nice touch.

The restaurant’s seated menu options are priced per person. Many are served family-style. Feast your eyes on these possibilities:

  • Brick chicken pepperonata
  • Rigatoni alla vodka
  • Chicken marsala
  • Barolo braised short rib
  • Tiramisu

Waiters are polite and attentive, and the chef is more than happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions. It is good to note that if you want exclusive access to the entire restaurant for your reception, you must reserve it in its entirety.
