heduled some time to view the property, where we were walked through the ballroom, guest rooms, and grounds outside. We were given lots of information on the hotel and the event planning process. Closer to the wedding, we drove out to attend a food tasting. Every other aspect of our planning process was done via email. When the Pandemic hit, Elizabeth was very helpful and informative with what their policies were and about a month before our original wedding date, she even sent over a list of days for us to put on hold, in case we needed to postpone. We did end up postponing and all deposits, decisions, etc. were just seamlessly transferred over to our new date.
The day of our wedding, Gage was our hotel event coordinator. My husband and I met with him a few times throughout the day prior to our ceremony to ask any last-minute questions and make sure that everything was set up properly for our reception. During the reception, he also checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed from their staff.
All in all, I can’t say enough about how happy I am that we went with the Inn at Harbor Shores for our reception. Our guests are still talking about what a good time they had and how great the food was! The guest rooms were clean, and the hotel had several Covid-19 sanitation/mask policies in place that helped us, and our guests feel safe. Through all the pandemic craziness, they were patient and kind while we figured things out. We can’t wait to return to the Inn to celebrate our 1-year anniversary!

ere super supportive! Many of our family members and friends stayed at the Inn before/after the big event and went on and one about how great it was! The whole area is absolutely beautiful, and we are so blessed to have found this diamond in the rough!

uests and other vendors made comments about this. There were lots of inconsistencies throughout the planning process as well which made it very stressful (and I am quite organized). It is a gorgeous/new facility and everything turned out fine, we just ended up having to do a lot of things for ourselves where the staff had initially agreed to do things for us (some set up for example) and there were a lot of broken promises. I certainly didn't feel like I was an important customer and we had a large wedding with many guests staying at the hotel, so we brought in a significant amount of business. Hopefully they can improve their customer relations because this place has so much potential!

The Inn is newly built and beautiful. Great restaurant and pool area where we all hung out all weekend. The guys played golf the morning of the wedding and had a blast.

I booked the Inn at Harbor Shores 10 months prior to my wedding and in the 10 months had 4 different contacts, due to turnover. This added unneeded stress to planning.

others emails things went smooth once she was there. Lisa really seems to know what she is doing and was nothing but helpful from the time she took over. Lisa and the staff were wonderful the weekend of the wedding, we were able to get in the day before the wedding to set the venue and they took care of finishing setup and lighting the candles for me.
The Venue is by far the most beautiful and most convenient in St Joseph, especially if you aren't from the area, most of our guests stayed at the hotel and we didn't have to worry about driving. I was annoyed at the time I booked my event they could only offer me 20 rooms, I feel more should be available if you are spending that kind of money at the hotel. Also I will add they covered our room for the night of the wedding, except after the reception when we went to get our room key and move to our new room for the wedding night the gave us a key and when we went in someone was clearly already in that room.
