tunately I had assigned someone to this and they took care of it, before I even knew about it, and had the shuttle back to me within 10 mins. Other than that they were great. The quality of their vehicles were great. I just wished we used our limo longer. Overall, our experience was good.

In addition, the driver of the limo waited for the wedding party so that we could all go change after the wedding and dropped us off at a nearby bar! That was not planned, but he was kind enough to work with us. Thank you guys! You were fantastic from start to finish!

Prior to the final payment date, and a month before my wedding, I reached out to see if they needed any additional info from me, or if they would just directly withdraw the remainder I owed. I was then informed the charters were cancelled. James River Transportation had not provided written documentation stating that the contract was cancelled, never told my venue's point of contact at the site visit, and never refunded my deposit: how would I ever know that they cancelled? Only when I pointed this out did they spring into action to return my deposit (which they would have kept as they had for the last six months since they "cancelled" with me). A negative experience leaving me high and dry, scrambling to find a new transportation company less than a month before my holiday weekend wedding.

We had numerous complaints from guests about the drivers being rude, sleeping on the job, not knowing the address to return to the wedding venue, and excessive speeding on the late night returns to the hotel. The first shuttles left with only a few passengers, leaving behind too many to fit on the last shuttle - obviously not enough communication between drivers. Guests would have had to wait almost an hour for the last shuttle to make a return trip, so we had to find drivers to take the overflow back to the hotel. Nightmare at the end of a beautiful wedding! Though the private driver service was adequate, I would not recommend JRT shuttle service due to their poor quality of service and lack of professionalism.

On the day of our wedding, everything went smooth - the vehicles were where they needed to be at the right times, the drivers were all very nice, and our needs were met. The only thing holding me back from a 5-star rating is the pricing. We had to pay for a 2-hour contract for a town car service, even though it was just for point-to-point. In addition, the cost of a 15-minute ride between one of the getting-ready venues and the ceremony was higher than I would expect. That said, you will find that with most transportation companies - seems like a very high cost for a very short time.

et our out-of-town family and friends from the hotel, they were rude. I couldn't believe it - after leaving us in the lurch, they weren't helpful, or even apologetic. If not for the quick action of someone else in the wedding party, many of our family members would have missed the ceremony. They simply never showed up! I wouldn't book them; if it's an important event or an airport run, I wouldn't risk it - if they don't show, you'll be in a pinch, obviously.
