J: 11/29 12:23 pm– Reply mentioning a $120 Engagement Special including 1 hr of time, but no mention of how and when payment is due
T: 11/29 1:19 ...- 5:30– 9 emails detailing where and when to meet
J: 12/2 11:01 am- Reply with cell number.
Shoot Day
12/2 3:05 pm– Arrive at the park to begin shoot
12/2 5:15 pm– Finish photo shoot. Discussed payment and when the photos would be done. Agreed mailing a check would be best and photos would be done in 2 weeks Dec 16th.
Convo After Meeting
T: 12/16 2:02 pm– Email for an update-No reply.
T: 12/20 1:01 pm– Email for update again-No reply.
T: 12/27 12:41 pm– Fiance called, left voicemail for update-No reply
T: 12/29 4:16 pm– Contacted on facebook messenger detailing efforts to contact her for an update
J: Fri 12/31 4:46 pm– Reply on facebook messenger apologizing saying she was out of town for the holidays and will have them “here ready for you by Wednesday the latest”
T: 12/31 5:21 pm– Acknowledged reply on Facebook messenger
Wed 1/4– No photos sent
T: 1/5 2:10 pm– Reply on facebook messenger asking how we would be receiving them. No reply from Jess.
T: 1/7 10:53 pm– Reply on facebook messenger expressing concern for photos because we wanted to use them for our wedding invitations but it was too late-No reply
T: 1/11 6:20 – 8:25 pm– 6 phone calls. First two ring until voicemail, next 4 straight to voicemail. Did not leave messages, wanted to talk directly to her-No reply
T: 1/12 10:03 am– Text stating we are having too much trouble reaching her and asked what is going on
T: Sat 1/14 8:37 pm– Expressed concern it had been much longer than the two deadlines she set and mentioned she already cashed my check on Dec. 6. Gave ultimatum of sending the photos or more drastic measures will be needed
J: 1/14 8:51 pm– Reply stating she would finish them late that night
T: 1/15 11:21 am– No photos sent for the third time. Gave her 1:30 pm deadline or we take legal action
J: 1/15 12:40 pm– Reply said how long it takes to sort and edit and how she took twice as many photos and spent an extra hour with us. Gave excuse of working 45+ hours on top of photography and said to give her time
T: 1/15 1:07 pm– Reply detailing the events that led to this point saying an update before vacation would've sufficed. Said we thought we could be getting scammed. Said the long periods of time between deadlines and lack of communication making us nervous. Said sent the check in good faith of getting photos in a timely manner and wouldn’t have had I known it would take this long
J: 1/15 2:19 pm– Reply detailing her being upset and offended that we would think she scammed us. Said she normally takes payment up front and how she waited for the check to clear. Said she would have turned us away if she knew how not understanding we would be. Called us the most demanding and crude clients in her 9 year career. Attached 5 photos to “hold us over” until she’s done
T: 1/15 3:49 pm– Told her I didn’t want to think it was a scam but she hadn’t contacted us for 29 days. Said we would've been more understanding with better communication during the holidays. Said we never discussed payment until after session and at no point was payment asked for up front. Said I didn’t feel demanding by waiting multiple days between failed contact for progress. Had to ask others what to do in this situation
