To the future bride,
Finding a photographer for your upcoming wedding will be the hardest decision in planning, I get it. I spent several hours searching and researching him and her and everyone else that didn’t matter (to me, anyway). Until... one day when a friend of my Mother in law’s sent me an email that exclaimed “You have to look up Kate & CO; Preston Photography.” I looked at the website and thought “well of course, I am going to contact them right now!” Kaitlan responded right away (and I mean seconds..). At first, I told Kaitlan my budget and then a brief bio about me and my big day and BAM, we instantly became the best of friends! We first met in Columbia, MO. (She resides in TEXAS. She literally flew into my small town to meet and do an engagement session.. Do you even need me to continue from here? SHES THE BEST). The same day we met, it was POURING DOWN RAIN… ON PICTURE DAY (ouside!)!....!!!... Kaitlan was completely professional. She was incredibly positive and reassuring. She persuaded me to calm down and continue with the shoot. She was determined to make my first experience the best, regardless if there were thunderous clouds and sopping grounds. And of course, the shoot went very well. In my past experiences, photographers that I worked with suggested awkward poses and forced fake smiles—however this was not the case with Preston Photography. Kaitlan was SO laid back and snapped pictures of me and my fiancé when SHE made us laugh. It was a great day, even with a little rain and bad hair. Less than a week later, I received my proofs. (Kaitlan should have fired me right then… I explained how unhappy I was with the way I looked in the pictures and I only asked ONCE for a re-do session. Kaitlan didn’t even think twice, she put a date on the calendar and was to return from Texas the day I chose. WHAT!?!?!??) Second session was even better than the first, and I can’t even write in words how much fun we had. If I don’t have you convinced by now, here’s another reason I couldn’t live without Kaitlan, Preston photography…On my wedding day, my bridesmaids and I decided to start getting ready @ 8 am. Kaitlan wasn’t supposed to arrive to take pictures until early afternoon BUT she managed to surprise me that morning and took shots of me and my girls while we got ready. Kaitlan knew that would call for a LONG day, but she put ME first. (No one does that).
Kaitlan was more than just my photographer. She became my favorite person in the whole world. There were several times I would text Kaitlan and let her know I was having a break down from wedding planning and she would encourage me and give me advice worth taking. As much as I want to keep Kaitlan a secret and to myself, I strongly encourage you to contact Preston Photography. Your life will never be the same and you will gain a forever friend!
Sincerely,
Shannon Sapp
