They were honest on what was realistic i.e what would not do well in the heat, etc. I provided Kato with my Pinterest board as a foundation, but also left room for florist creativity and they did not disappoint. Ms. Maria is so kind, dedicated, and lovely and met with us at The Mackey House which really helped to talk through our vision. She completely understood what we were looking for. You can tell she is very passionate about what she does. When I saw the runner greenery and abundant blooms it just took my breath away. We have received so many compliments on the florals. We repurposed the flowers for post-wedding brunch the next day and gave away some blooms to some of the guests. The wedding was on Saturday and the bouquet was still in good condition to take to get preserved on Tuesday. They are the epitome of high quality, artistry, and customer service. We planned out wedding in 9 months and I thank God Ms. Maria and her business were available for our wedding. If flowers are an important aspect of your wedding, you need Kato Florals.

We realized that the flower girl’s petals were missing since the flower crown was delivered to my room but the petals were not, so my coordinator called the florist to fix it. The florist brought the petals a couple hours later in time for the wedding. However, I did not know that the flowers for the cake were missing until the reception, at which time I was presented with a bare cake. It was heartbreaking to see that the beautiful floral cake I had planned was just a plain naked cake. I reached out to the florist afterward to ask what happened, and rather than admitting that they simply forgot, they made an excuse about a rose shortage. This didn’t make any sense to me as if this was the case they had the ability to replace the roses with a flower or greenery that they felt appropriate. Instead they provided nothing and didn’t even communicate to me the any of this. Instead I was left with the surprise when it was too late to come up with a plan B. I explained this to them but they did not seem overly concerned with the disappointment I felt that my cake I worked so hard to plan was ruined by their negligence. They did send me a refund for the amount I paid for the cake flowers a month after the wedding, but it was too little too late since my wedding cake couldn’t be redone at that point. I reiterate that the flowers we received were beautiful, but they were not worth the lack of professionalism I felt Kato exhibited the day of and in the days after my wedding and they certainly not worth the barren cake I spent so much money on that is now in my wedding photos when it should have been the beautiful cake that I was promised. If I could do it over again, I wouldn’t risk it by going with Kato. I would instead choose another reputable vendor in the area.

Their vision was our vision and my gut was telling me that we had to go with Kato! We read past reviews and, now looking back, those reviews and 5-star ratings did not lie. Down to the last detail, Maria and Skye were a dream to work with. Even with the very limited information that we were able to provide at our first meeting, Maria immediately got a sense of what we were looking for and took care of the rest. She analyzed our inspiration photos and spoke to us about ways to make each style our own. She showed us some variations on centerpieces that we hadn't thought of but were perfect. Maria also knew exactly which flowers and greenery were in each bouquet and which would hold up in the August heat and humidity and which would not. Kato's pricing was all so reasonable, especially when you take into account the quality of service and florals delivered. Maria even offered ideas on how to cut costs where she could. Our ceremony and reception looked and smelled beyond beautiful. We received so many compliments from our guests, and we are so thankful to Maria and Skye for creating the incredible bouquets, centerpieces, and displays that we will never forget. Kato had multiple weddings on our wedding day, and even those concerns were squashed right away. We truly felt like we had Kato all to ourselves as they were punctual with everything and actually changed their timeline effortlessly when our church wouldn't allow them inside at the original planned time. The tables were exquisite and the flowers smelled amazing. The bride and groom's table was perfect and so fit their taste. We had vintage doors for the bridal party to enter thru for the ceremony and the flowers and greenery Maria used showed the beauty of the doors but also added that extra special touch. Two weeks before the wedding we were down to what should we do for decorating the area where the vows would take place---Maria said I have an idea of what will fit perfectly and complete the vision--can I go with it. We said absolutely and it was the perfect touch. Picture two 12 ft poles covered with greenery and flowers on either side of beautiful wooden doors---it was the most perfect touch. My mom broke the bracelet of her corsage a few minutes before the ceremony began and Kato Florals was right there with an extra, and fixed it without me even noticing. I spoke with a lot of florists in planning our wedding, and searched for over four months to find the perfect florist and we couldn’t be happier with Maria’s work.
