tasting Covid-19 precautions were still in place, so they boxed up our selected flavors for us to take home and try. It was adorable and super convenient. Needless to say, the decision was actually super tough! Everything was so tasty. We ended up going with coconut everything to achieve a white, luscious look. I showed a picture of what I had in mind and they took that into account. Then the wedding day came and I am being completely honest when I say my favorite thing in the entire reception room, (my husband included) was that cake. The cake was the most romantic and luscious cake I have ever seen. It was better that I had imagined in my head and better than the inspiration photo I showed the bakers. The cake blew everyone away - there are so many beautiful pictures of it. A comment I hear you rarely get at a wedding is that the cake wasn’t good or wasn’t even tasted because people are up and around. My guests told me they made sure to be at their seat when the cake was served because of how good they heard it would be. They didn’t regret giving up 5 minutes of dancing to devour the coconut goodness. We also ordered Italian rainbow cookie cake bites for our favorite people the night before at our rehearsal dinner and they were a HIT. Probably my most favorite thing I ever had at their bakery - I made it a point to have the cake bites at our event. I would use this bakery at every event I have and refer them to any friend or family. Blew my expectations away in every sense. Thank you Kitchen Chemistry!

Kitchen Chemistry used our fresh flowers to create a cascade design, it was breath-taking! Our guests still rave over how delicious our wedding cake was. Thank you again Kitchen Chemistry!

The topper was a gift from someone who wasn’t there and had it made for me. My bridesmaid called them and they said the cake will not collapse and that it was not leaning. We ended up cutting the cake very early right after dinner my entire wedding was destroyed by this because many thing were out of order including missing important pictures with my mother because the cake had to be photographer early. After my cake was cut guessed started to leave even though it wasn’t even 8pm. They had offered to bring icing but the icing wasn’t the issue the cake was sinking into itself on one side because they never added the support cardboard or plastic that goes between each layer. I never received a call they didn’t offer to bring another cake but honestly the only thing they could have done was bring another cake. Don’t trust this place with your special moments I did and they destroyed my wedding day.

ding cake. I love cake. It’s my favorite food, it is what I have been dreaming about the moment I became engaged. Kitchen Chemistry was, therefore, under the most pressure for my wedding. Let me just tell you that six slices of cake later, I’m still lamenting I didn’t eat enough cake because it was THAT good! First off, I wanted a bakery that cared as much about what the cake tasted like as it looked. Too many bakeries only have pretty pictures and don’t even include a menu of cake flavors on their website! I knew immediately I had to have a tasting at Kitchen Chemistry when I saw their enormous list of flavors. I was able to pick some unique flavors beyond your typical vanilla and chocolate and I was eager to see if they lived up to my expectations. I told myself at the tasting I would only have a bite or two of each flavor, since I was in the process of dieting for the wedding. I licked the plate clean. It was so delicious. It was near impossible for me to narrow down the flavors. They were helpful in helping me customize the flavors to exactly what I wanted, even when I emailed them months later and sprung on them that I suddenly wanted eggnog buttercream frosting for my gingerbread cake layer (eggnog frosting?! Gingerbread cake?! Yeah, they can do that!) Of course, we cared about what the cake looked like too, and Kitchen Chemistry was incredibly receptive when I came in with my sketched ideas (Yeah, I told you I took the cake seriously.) We worked together to make our dream design, an nontraditional wedding cake that still looked beautiful. Our guests appreciated it as well – when we asked family to send us their photos from their phone, every person at least had one photo they took of the cake! It was that eye-catching! The cake was a huge success. Everybody had their favorite flavor and lamented they didn’t eat more. When I pulled out leftover cake at the following day’s brunch, I had a group of people swarm around me and wish they were clever enough to have taken some home; I ended up having to share because everyone wanted one last bite! I could write an entire essay on why Kitchen Chemistry is the right choice. I didn’t save any cake for our one year anniversary – I instead plan on revisiting and having them remaking a mini version of the wedding cake because I want every excuse to eat their cake again. It’s that good. It’s that pretty. Go get your cake there now and thank me later.

months in advanced. The cake was brought to us disassembled and frosting ( the wrong frosting) was given to our bartenders. Our saving grace was our caterer that did their best to fix the mess. Our cake was crooked and when we complained we were told that the crookedness fit our rustic theme.. They refunded us 1/4 of the cost and offered us a free cake in the future. But we wouldn't eat there products again.

to gluten free cake being just okay, but these were so so good, and I loved that Lisa could make any of her cupcakes flavors gluten free. Non-gluten free guests had no idea the cupcakes were gluten free. My husband wanted something very specific for the groom's cake, and Lisa didn't even blink an eye when I asked her if she could do it. Everyone who ate the groom's cake raved about it. It was one layer of NY Cheesecake and 1 layer of red velvet cake shaped to look like a record player. The detail on the record player was unbelievable. Until you looked very closely, it looked real. There is no doubt in my mind that Kitchen Chemistry is the best bakery in the Poconos, and we will be back every time we can think of an excuse to eat cake.
