It’s been a year since my wife and I were married. Why did we wait so long to write our review of Kreations by Kris? Mainly, laziness. After the wedding we were both fairly burnt out from anything wedding related. In hindsight, however, that la...
ziness gave us time to think back to our wedding day. What would we have had Kris do differently? What didn’t we like? What would we change? What would we improve on? What could she have done better?
Not. One. Damn. Thing! Kris was an absolute pleasure to work with. We met with her twice to discuss our look for the wedding. She embraced our ideas and ran with them. She took what we thought to be a mess of ideas and turned them into a cohesive vision.
Kris’s knowledge of all things floral was astounding. She truly loves her work and it comes through in her personality and passion. She listened to our ideas and thoughts regarding our day. She presented us with lots of potential options and then guided us into our final decision. We never felt pressured to go one direction or another but, rather, she helped us realize what we really wanted. This was especially important to us because we didn’t necessarily want cookie-cutter or traditional. She embraced our unique ideas and elevated them with her style and personal touch.
On our actual wedding day, everything arrived right on time and the displays were beautiful. Each arrangement was exactly as discussed and looked even better in person than we could have imagined. Each flower was in full bloom and vivid. She went above and beyond and used her artistic eye to add additional touches around the venue. Every empty space, table, window ledge, and bathroom was adorned with her art. She is so much more than just flowers though! She even helped us with other decor decisions. She ensured that everything we had in our space was going to be cohesive from flowers, table settings, and decorations, to even lighting. Everything blended together so beautifully because of her careful attention to detail.
Lastly, the mother of the groom made roughly 100 paper flowers that were cut from various books to symbolize the bride’s love for reading. Kris took those flowers and perfectly weaved them into every arrangement around the wedding space. It was done so that they weren’t distracting but more of a subtle nod to anyone with a keen eye to find them.
It’s been a year since our wedding day and our only regret is that Kris’s flowers couldn’t stay as vibrate as they were. We dried the bouquet, boutineer, and many other arrangements that now adorn our home. Every time we see them, we’re teleported right back into the beautiful space that Kris helped create for us and we will forever be grateful for her work.
