As the father of the bride, I have only tremendous things to say about Kristin and her staff. For one, every single one of her recommended vendors (band, florist, photographer, videographer, stationary, and reception hall decorating) were outstanding. Not only were they of exceptional quality, but they were also very easy to work with - from contracts to design to execution. We received many, many rave reviews at the reception, especially on the most visible things like the band, the reception hall, and the flowers. And we simply loved working with Kristin from start to finish, from picking out the vendors to all of the "day of" coordination. Kristin, along with my wife and daughter, were in constant communication the whole way and the big day could not have gone smoother. So we highly recommend Kristin Ashley Events -- whether in St.Louis or now in Austin.
Where do I even begin? Kristin and her team are phenomenal. She made our wedding day absolutely perfect, everything we dreamed of and more. As a couple planning a long distance wedding, Kristin was our saving grace. We hired her for month of planning and design planning, and I encourage you to do the same! Kristin is an absolute delight to work with and a design BOSS. I really cannot say enough about her personality, she sparkles! She is kind, helpful, accommodating and encouraging. She took charge when she needed to, gave me advice and suggestions when I needed it and kept me calm when I lost my mind. I must highlight her design skills. Our wedding and reception were absolutely breath-taking thanks to her brilliant ideas. I encourage you to visit her website to check out her work. Now onto the best part…the wedding day. It was perfect. Chris and I truly felt like the guests of honor and were able to focus on each other, and our guests, the entire day, stress free! I have no idea if anything went wrong because if anything did, Kristin handled it before I was ever aware. It is as if Kristin, and her delightful assistant, Jessie, are modern day fairy godmothers. They waved their magic wand and turned our reception venue into a stunning, romantic escape. That is not to minimize their hard work, because they were the first ones to show up (I'm pretty sure they arrived before I even woke up) and the last ones to leave. They took care of EVERYTHING the day of with smiles on their faces (and it was a long day-- we had an early Catholic wedding and a late reception). I honestly don't even know how the room got set up or torn down, Kristin coordinated it all seamlessly. Kristin is an absolute joy and I recommend her whole-heartedly.
Kristin is absolutely amazing! Not only is she top notch at what she does, but her personality is so warm and comforting. You feel like you are working with your best friend! We hired her for full planning for our destination wedding in the Florida Keys. There were many moving parts, and she handled it all with ease. The day of, it poured. Two hours before the ceremony, there was a foot of water under the tent, and you would have never known! Kristin is always available when you call or email. She is truly one of a kind! I would highly recommend her services!
Words cannot express how wonderful Kristin and her team are and I am so fortunate to have selected her as my planner! From start to finish, she was incredibly professional and attentive. Her responsiveness was nearly immediate on every question or task, making it a breeze to plan a wedding with a busy work schedule. I always knew what I needed to accomplish, she scheduled meetings and met with me every step of the way. Her designs took the image out of my head and made them a reality, I actually cried when I saw our reception for the first time. The vendors she recommended were top knotch, she truely went above and beyond to make our day memorable. Kristin is warm and very down to earth, her calm presence let me relax and enjoy the day knowing that I could trust her to execute everything flawlessly. I only wish I had another wedding to plan so that I could continue working with her!
Kristin did an overall phenomenal job! The day couldn't have gone more perfectly. She took care of any and all hiccups that happened throughout the day so they didn't effect my or the groom's time. I really didn't expect the day to be as worry free as it was (I tend to stress out during events), but Kristin took care of everything so there wasn't anything to stress about. Even my bridesmaids, who have all been in several weddings, remarked how helpful she and her assistant were with steaming dresses and helping everyone out with getting ready. Kristin also led a yoga session before everything got started that day which was so fantastic putting me in a great mood for the day. Aside from doing her job very well, she is very easy going, organized and personable. I felt like I was working with an old friend throughout the planning process. I would highly recommend Kristin and her staff for wedding planning/coordinating. She is one of the best decisions I made while selecting wedding vendors.
Kristin deserves all five stars and then some. Her calm professionalism made my daughters wedding so enjoyable instead of stressful. She has a great easy going personality, is always on time and doesn't let a thing sneak by! Its hard for me to relinquish control about things, but I had such confidence in Kristin that it was an easy thing to do. I would look no further if you need a planner. Love you Kristin!!!!
Kristin came highly recommended to me by a friend in the Austin wedding industry. After one phone call, we knew we had to have her for month of coordination. We were planning a “destination” wedding in Austin while living in Dallas and knew we needed her extra support. Kristin was super accommodating when coordinating meet times, always responsive whether by email or phone, and extremely organized. I didn’t have to worry about a thing and knew she was in close contact with all my vendors. My parents were so impressed, as well as our pastor who has made many comments that he has never seen a wedding so well executed and organized – all props to Kristin and team! I tend to overly stress and I’ve never felt more relaxed as I did on my wedding day. Kristin and her assistant spent the day at the house where we were getting ready to help with logistics, answer questions, pick up lunch, make deliveries, steam dresses, etc. etc. If something wasn’t going as planned, I never knew about it because she took care of it. The church and reception venue far exceeded my expectations. She knocked it out of the park with the layout and set up of all my design extras. I was in literal tears when I saw it! She is calm, trustworthy, kind, and aggressive when she needs to be (dealing with the wedding party). I can’t thank her enough and will recommend to anyone I know planning a wedding!
Kristin Ashley Events made my Puerto Rico wedding day dreams come true…seriously. My destination wedding would not have been possible without Kristin. We found her through my sister-in-law, who had Kristin as a planner at her destination wedding in Costa Rica and strongly recommended her. Here are a few things that I found most valuable: • Kristin is an expert. There were so many questions I had given my lack of experience (Will people be able to see the stage if they’re seated here? Will this space look empty? Does the flow of this event make sense? Etc). She had an answer to just about everything based on her experience, and if she didn’t, she tapped into her industry resources to get us the answers we needed. • Kristin is persistent. Planning our destination wedding was quite a challenge with vendor responsiveness (island time), and Kristin was following up with vendors through calls and emails to get the answers we needed. I would have never had time to put in all of the work that she did. • Kristin is flexible. I am quite the type A bride, so I was super involved in the decision-making. Upon realizing this, she flexed her style to best suit working with me. I’m completely confident, however, that she would be just as adaptable for the bride who wants to be more hands-off. • Kristin is scrappy. She was understanding throughout the process that my husband and I did want to settle for vendors that were out of our price range, even if it requires a lot more time/work to find other solutions. She helped us find options that were right for us, and never made us feel bad about keeping our budget a top priority. She helped guide us to where we would get the most value, and what would be excess given our budget. I also wanted to highlight her strong understanding of Indian weddings (which we had), but I know she is highly experienced in all different varieties of ceremonies/religions/traditions. I HIGHLY recommend her for your wedding day.
Once my daughter got engaged, I knew from the get go that we needed a planner. My daughter has a lot of wonderful ideas, great taste, and great organizational skills. However, with her being outside of the Austin area, we knew it would be to our benefit to hire a professional to bring it to life. After our first meeting with Kristin, we knew with her experience and keen style, she would be a great fit for the wedding. She not only listened to everything Jenna and Hunter wanted but also took into consideration what was important to us. We really enjoyed how she took us through a step by step process of how the planning would go. She has an excellent team of vendor recommendations and was open to working with others outside her preferred list. Kristin told us exactly where to spend our money and where it would make the most impact, I can say without a doubt we all walked into the room in awe. There wasn't a detail left untouched. I really enjoyed how she worked with my daughter and helped her vision to become a reality. The best part is that we could all enjoy the wedding day knowing everything would be taken care of, and it was!
I was recommended Kristin by a good friend who is a wedding photographer. I live out of state and wanted to have my wedding in St. Louis with my family. I hired her as a day of person. I also paid extra for recommendations for hair/makeup and DJ and decor and for her services for my rehearsal dinner (some extra cultural activities I needed help with). Things generally went well as I was coming into town to finalize my vendors. But when it came close to my wedding it was very hard to get a hold of Kristin. What I didn't know was that she had a family member who was sick and she was helping care for that person. What would have been nice to know was to funnel all my questions to her assistant. This was not communicated to me at all. What was frustrating was that I would ask her questions in email and when I didn't hear after a day or two, so I would text and her response would be to email her. I would end up asking her the same question in about 3 emails before she would get back to me. What was most awful was that it was like pulling teeth to meet with her to go over the wedding and rehearsal dinner once I arrived to town. Once I was able to meet with her I only got about 45 minutes and we hadn't covered everything I needed to cover about the wedding let alone the rehearsal dinner activities. When I brought this up she said she doesn't do rehearsal dinners. SHE COMPLETELY FORGOT WE HAD A SIGNED CONTRACT THAT SHE WAS WORKING THE REHEARSAL DINNER!!! At that she had said originally she was working the rehearsal dinner. That part wasn't in the contract, but it was NEVER communicated to me that I was getting her assistant instead. Yes, her assistant did step up as best as she could to work my rehearsal, but if I had known I would have set up my meeting with her assistant and not Kristin. I can't say my wedding was simple. It had Christian, Jewish and Chinese traditions. But this is why I hired her to take care of the logistics. There were a lot of things that were not smooth because I wasn't given the time to go over with Kristin. And had I known, I would have gone over it with her assistant. What irked me most was that she NEVER apologized. She decided to go the route of BS-ing her way through it. Here is the thing, I totally saw through her and had zero confidence there after. WORST OF ALL was that I couldn't relax the day of my wedding because I had ZERO confidence in her abilities. I had a smile on my face because that is what a bride is supposed to look like, but inside I was a mess and fuming because I did not feel at ease that Kristin was going to be able to get things done or done well. WHO FORGETS TERMS OF A CONTRACT?!? And then does not apologize and thinks I'm too dumb to see through her? What was also frustrating was when I was getting ready, she and her team were just sitting in my room hanging out with out a care in the world and gossiping about their other clients. It would have been good to go over details of the wedding one more time, but then, I didn't want to be that bridezilla. I didn't want to be ugly on my wedding day. Unfortunately, I ended up not enjoying my day at all as a result. Kristin was the biggest waste of money I spent on my wedding because her lack of communication and lack of acknowledgment of her actions resulted in me being worried the entire time. What was the point of hiring her?
Can't imagine our wedding without her! Kristin was recommended to us by our photographer. We wanted someone knowledgable and assertive but fun and relaxed. After meeting with Kristin, we knew she would be perfect! My husband (then fiancé) agreed we needed her ASAP because it was the most relaxed he'd seen me since our engagement! Kristin helped us through the entire process. Not originally from the St. Louis area or having my mother in town, she played a crucial role in presenting vendors, narrowing down options, and giving opinions and advice. Her knowledge, attention to detail, and creativity are unparalleled yet she is humble and understanding throughout. I cannot imagine our wedding without Kristin's expertise. She listened to what we wanted and made our fairytale come true. With her help, we were able to enjoy our engagement and wedding planning process without the stress of deadlines and meetings. Our wedding day was completely seamless and stress free! I recommend Kristin Ashley Events to anyone who is looking to hire a wedding coordinator. If you want someone who is professional, creative, easy to get along with, and fun this is your girl. She will blow you away!
It was such a pleasure to work with and get to know Kristin throughout the planning process for our big day. Every time we met it felt like I was hanging out with a close friend, just one that had infinite knowledge about planning a wedding! Kristin gave advice, pep talks, created powerpoints and pinterest pages, conducted face time calls around the venue during the crazy times of planning and always with a smile/positive outlook; a true testament to the strength of her character knowing everything she and her family weathered this year. No call, text or email was left unanswered and in person meetings or vendor meetings were organized and never rushed. Her ability to navigate stressful situations, manage my indecision, and keep me on the path of my original vision was impressive. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and I don’t think I worried about a single thing, which frankly never happens – thank you Kristin!
My daughter and I are so glad that we chose Kristin to be the coordinator for her wedding day! Kristin’s enthusiasm and positive attitude set the tone from the beginning. She really made it a point to get to know our style, tastes, and vision. My daughter and I knew that we could trust Kristin’s direction and ideas, because she was on our same wavelength. We could not be happier with the final product! Kristin suggested some very unique components to include when planning the reception space, which really made the event even more memorable. She seamlessly coordinated all of the elements leading up to the wedding, as well as the day of the event. We did not have to worry about it all coming together, because we knew everything was in great hands. We hired Kristin Ashley Events for my wedding that was a couple of weeks ago. She is such a joy to work with not to mention the amount of talent and passion Kristin has! Leading up to the wedding she was amazing and on the wedding day she exceeded all expectations! Many of the guests commented on how on top of everything she was, didn't skip a beat! I can not say enough good things about Kristin and her talent. You need her as your planner for your big day!

We hired Jessie with Kristin Ashley Events to be my month-of coordinator. I truly do not know how I could have done it without her! If you're on the fence, not sure if you should book a planner or not, DO IT. She made the bulk of my day effortless and easy!
I hired Kristin and her team as our month of coordinator. That was the BEST decision we made!! Kristin and her team helped ease the stress of the overwhelming to do list that often comes during the month of your wedding. In addition to being helpful the entire month - Kristin also made our wedding day go off with out a hitch and was a big piece in making it our Best Day Ever! We are so grateful for Kristin Ashley Events and all they did to make our special day and the time leading up to it so very perfect.

Hands down, the best money I spent on my wedding was for Kristin and her team. I really don't know how I would have done it without her. While I did not pay for a full planning, only the month of, Kristin also has a great package where she will recommend vendors for you based on your budget and what you are looking for, set up meetings with a few of them for you, and help you work out the contracts. This was invaluable. We got married in St. Louis, but as I am not from there, I had no idea as where to even start looking for wedding vendors. Even if you are from a city, I cannot recommend this enough. You only get married once, but Kristin and her team does this every day. She helped us find and AMAZING team of vendors which truly made the wedding as special as it was. We worked with the nicest people who were all about giving us the wedding we wanted, not about doing what they like to do. Kristin also helped us put a budget together and was a great help in helping my parents and I understand what the range of prices were for things and what we cared most about. Although the real work didn't kick in until 6 weeks or so before the wedding, Kristin was there to answer questions and give us suggestions the entire way through. Starting 6 weeks before the wedding, Jessie became our main planner and we could not have loved her more. She was so professional and made the entire day run so smoothly. She was in touch with all of our vendors, she made a detailed schedule, and she was there to help with all of the hiccups that come with a wedding (like uninvited guests). Jessie came to our run through and made sure that we were all on the same page, and took all of the extras that we wanted put up on the day of the wedding. On the day of our wedding she was there for over 15 hours, and there was not a hitch in anything. We had a beautiful, fun, amazing day because of Kristin and Jessie and the whole team. We owe all of the amazing vendors to Kristin's recommendations and the smooth perfect day to Jessie's professional planning. If I have one recommendation for brides, it is to get a planner, and I could not recommend Kristin Ashley Events more.
Kristin was so amazing!! I was a bit worried during the planning process because sometimes she was slow to answer emails, but I shouldn't have worried at all. She handled everything that came up during the day, which let me relax and enjoy it. She did an amazing job with our wedding which was fairly complicated logistically. She has such a great energy and can literally do everything! She taught an excellent yoga class in the morning and helped me with my make-up. She is everything you want in a wedding planner.
Kristin is the absolute best wedding planner! I hired her for the full wedding planning experience and wow did she deliver! She did all the leg work, set me up with the best vendors and venue... co-designed the whole look and feel of the wedding and OMG was it gorgeous! Couldn't have done it without her!! Definitely worth it. She was there for the day of coordination and even led a "morning yoga" session in the AM to put me at ease and calm my mind for the day. It was fabulous! Everyone said it was the best wedding they have ever attended! I am bias, but totally agree! They were all so impressed with Kristin and you will be too!! She is a gem of a person and the perfect combination of planner, advocate, designer and friend! Bravo Kristin and Team! You nailed it!

When my husband and I were first engaged, one of the first decisions we made was to hire a wedding planner. But who do we choose? I did my research, poured over St. Louis magazines, reviews, and kept running across the same name over and over... Kristin Ashley Events. When we met for our initial interview, there was absolutely no hesitation in signing a contract with Kristin. Rather than repeating the reviews already here, because they're all very true, I'll keep it straight and to the point. I gave Kristin and her team just a few ideas of our vision and she created an unforgettable moment in our life. Kristin isn't just a wedding planner... she truly creates moments and memories. I don't just recommend a wedding planner, I recommend Kristin Ashley Events.

We hired Kristin Ashley Events to help with month of wedding planning. Initially, we weren't sure if we wanted to spend the money for a planner - but as we started our planning - we realized we needed someone to help with last minute details/planning. We looked at a few wedding planners and decided to go with Kristin Ashley Events for her month of planning -- and it was a great decision! She was so helpful with those last minute details and helped to take the stress off of me and my family. She helped with our wedding day timeline and other things that I didn't really want to worry about the week of my wedding! Would highly recommend her!

We chose Kristen Ashley Events to help with our daughter's wedding and it was a great decision. We chose the full coordination services so we worked with Kristen for almost a year. She is knowledgeable, professional, fun and personable! What we liked best about Kristen was that she really listened to what our future son-in-law and daughter's vision was for their wedding and she did everything possible to make sure they had the wedding of their dreams. She far exceeded our expectations and the wedding was wonderful! Our daughter lives out of town so her planning time was limited. Kristen organized our visits to make the best use of that time. Her vendor knowledge and expertise were awesome. She gave our daughter plenty of options but not so many that it was overwhelming. Everyone commented on the day of the wedding about how smoothly everything ran. That was due to Kristen. Even when little issues came up, she and her staff handled them beautifully. We felt that having Kristen there really allowed us just to enjoy the day! We would highly recommend her!

Hiring Kristin as my “month of wedding coordinator” was definitely the best decision I made during the wedding planning process! In addition to being super laid-back, fun, and crazy cool, she is hyper-organized and always in control (not a typical combination.) Kristin has incredible event design experience as well… I didn’t think of this before my wedding, but having a planner with a “designer” background, is absolutely necessary. Not only will they facilitate your event, they will meticulously create your vision down to the last detail. My wedding went seamlessly thanks to Kristin’s help, guidance, support, and friendship! If you want a beautiful wedding and do not want to be stressed out throughout the process, hire KAE!!!

And hire Kristin! Where do I start? Hiring Kristin as our wedding planner was by far the BEST decision we made when planning our wedding. When planning I had this visual in my head but didn't know how to make it come to life. I wanted to remember every second of our day, I wanted it to be all about Greg and I, and I didn't want to have to worry about one thing. Every single one of my "wants" came true not only on our day but through the entire planning process. She was extremely professional, patient, caring and knowledgable! I will close with this quote my Maid of Honor said to me the very next morning afterour wedding... "I always thought wedding planners were a waste of money but Kristin was money well spent! After graduation, Kristin joined forces with one of the top American designers, Ralph Lauren, where she worked with the visual merchandise department on Michigan Avenue. Kristin started working with one of the most well respected wedding consulting companies in Chicago, Engaging Events by Ali. After nearly two years with the company, Kristin moved to St. Louis, Missouri. She decided to make her dream of owning her own event business come true and opened Kristin Ashley Events, LLC. in 2010.In 2015 Kristin decided to combine her passion of yoga and wedding planning and open their second location
