This venue could not have been more perfect! The aesthetics and beauty are unmatched! Everything you could ever need for your special day - all in one space. The Owner, Hannah, is more than amazing. She is super organized, lovely to work with and we could not have done it without her.

Hannah and the staff at La Villa are fantastic to work with. As a wedding vendor myself, I knew I wanted to get married in this gorgeous venue and I knew I could trust Hannah to work with our wedding planner and make sure our day went off without a hitch. I would definitely recommend this venue!!!

La Villa's space is absolutely beautiful! It made a perfect backdrop for our wedding vision. The team is so quick to respond to questions and had every detail covered. Hannah and her team went above and beyond to ensure the space was perfect and that our winter wedding would go smoothly. We really appreciated that they helped to flip the ceremony space over to the reception setup very quickly! The bridal suite is a great space for getting ready in the morning. It is so spacious and comfortable. We were also able to use the gorgeous courtyard because there were plenty of warmers set up. This was a dream location!

I'm a wedding planner who had the opportunity to coordinate a wedding at LaVilla, and it was wonderful! Hannah and her team were super easy to work with and helpful throughout the process. On top of that, the venue is STUNNING, very well taken care of, and easy to navigate on the vendor side of things. I can't wait to work here again!

We had our wedding at this venue and it was the wedding of our dreams! As they told us when we first viewed it, it is “the love child of Barcelona and LA”. That is exactly what it is. The simple elegance of the venue and the very unique characteristics that come with the age of a building like this really bring so much to your day. You don’t need a lot of decor or anything to cover up the beauty of this place. Hannah was amazing to work with and very accommodating. It is the perfect venue for a small to medium wedding and in the best location in town! Also the bar aesthetic is amazing!

La Villa is one of the most beautiful and unique venue spots in KC. We absolutely loved having our wedding here and also being close to downtown KC. We also loved that we could take all our photos at the venue. There are so many options in and around the venue, which made our wedding day less stressful not having to drive around to different locations. We had the best time at La Villa and 1,000% recommend having your wedding or reception here (or both like we did!). And OMG, the bar! Every room in this space will blow you away!

We had our wedding reception at La Villa and had a great time! We had to change reception venues late in the planning process, and La Villa was able to accommodate us. There is so much you can do with the space, and we were able to transfer our vision easily to this new space. The staff was very organized, the space was very well taken care of, and it was a great night!

La Villa and the owner Lori were fantastic to work with from day one through the wedding weekend. Our guests commented that they felt transported to a small European city for the evening :) If you are looking for a gorgeous space, flexible accommodations, and superb hospitality -- book La Villa!!

My husband and I were settled on a different venue, but we saw a picture of La Villa on our florist's instagram, and my jaw hit the floor. We went in for a visit that week and totally changed our plans. As an army brat who moved a lot overseas, I wanted my wedding to feel like we were in Europe (or somewhere other than Kansas - no offense, Kansas), but I couldn't afford a destination wedding. La Villa was the answer to my prayers! Total Spanish/Mediterranean vibes and at an affordable price. Lori, the owner, was a delight - I felt totally taken care of.

The owner is awesome. She and her team are easy to work with and the venue is stunning. Super reasonable price and the day of was super smooth. I’m getting my photos and videos and the lighting and colors are 👌🏻🤩

Once my husband and I toured La Villa, we had our hearts set on hosting our wedding there. The space is breathtaking -- it's truly like nothing else in Kansas City. We had concerns about guest count and, from the beginning, Lori and Joel helped us problem solve to make it work. In the end, it was the perfect day, and the La Villa staff's style and flexibility was second to none. We only wish we could do it all again!

Owners Lori and Joel have created a gem in La Villa and they do everything they can to make your wedding day amazing! It was the perfect size for our daughter’s destination wedding with 125 people in attendance. Both the ceremony and plated dinner reception were flawless and there was plenty of room for a five piece band and dancing. The space is so simplistically beautiful, which allows for the bride to add her own unique accessories and touches of color. The interior space and front exterior of the building provided backdrops for some really stunning photos. Highly recommend this venue!!

La Villa was a perfect venue for our daughter's wedding! Lori and team were so helpful and accommodating from day 1! Lori was responsive and organized to ensure every vendor we worked with had the information necessary to support the event. The space itself is gorgeous with beautiful lighting, fixtures and spaces to celebrate any event. A truly unique space in Kansas City! So happy we could celebrate such an important day in such a beautiful place!

I can’t recommend La Villa enough! It was the perfect space for my husband’s 40th birthday party. Lori and her staff were so helpful in the planning and execution of our event. I only hope that I can host another party at this beautiful space in the future!

This venue is worth every star — seriously. La Villa was the perfect location in Kansas City for our wedding. The minimal, white canvas gives so much room for your personal taste to be supported and come alive. The venue only reflects how amazing the Johnson’s are who manage it all. If you’re looking into this spot you really shouldn’t look further; one tour through and you’ll be convinced!

We cannot say enough good things about the people at La Villa! Lori was so kind and willing to work with different aspects of our big day. The venue is BEAUTIFUL and perfect for a bright elegant wedding. One main reason we chose this venue is that we could do everything indoors since we got married in April. If rain isn’t a concern, it’s still a beautiful place to have a reception since the venue has a patio with string lights and plenty of seating. We did our first dance as well as the mother/son and father/daughter dances out there and it was great :) The kitchen isn’t a fully functional kitchen (more of a prep kitchen) so if you’re looking for a venue where you can prepare all of the food there, it may not work as well. Overall I would suggest this venue to anyone!

Oh my goodness! I can't begin to tell you how amazing the entire process of finding the venue and working with Lori and Joel! They are the sweetest and worked with me to make my dream wedding come to life! They were both on time and allowed me to come view the venue as much as I needed to ease my mind. They respond promptly to all my emails, even the crazy ones! Lori was a Jem and Joel worked so hard to get me the reception layout I have always wanted. The venue speaks for itself in its high ceilings, intricate details, historical structure and eliminates any need for extra decor. It is gorgeous. La Villa worked great with all my vendors and made the process so easy and flow smoothly. The sound in the building in INCREDIBLE! It has great acoustics but also has speakers in every room that can be controlled by the DJ. It was perfect! Lori and Joel helped give me my dream wedding and I felt so close to them during the whole process, they were so excited for Alex and I and it was the best day ever! Thanks, Lori and Joel! Love you guys!

WOW, we seriously cannot say enough great things about this venue and the owners, Lori and Joel! They went above and beyond to make our wedding day the most perfect that we could've ever imagined. We actually had our eyes on this dreamy venue when we were first engaged after finding out that it was being completely re-finished in the most tasteful way. We fell in love with the fresh clean white walls, the spanish modern touches in tile and chandeliers, the outside patio, etc. Sad to find out that the venue renovations wouldn't quite be finished in time for our wedding date, so we chose an outdoor location instead. Turns out, a big rain and thunder storm was in the forecast on the day of our wedding and we had to come up with a plan B just a few days before. We reached out to Joel and Lori and we were shocked to find out that not only were the renovations at La Villa practically finished, but they were willing to welcome us for our reception on such a short notice. Just goes to show how kind, wonderful and selfless the Johnsons are for pulling off an event for us with less than a week of notice. La Villa is stunning, unique, timeless, in a wonderful location, spacious and owned by such an amazing husband and wife team. You'd be silly to not consider this space as an option for your wedding or event!
