our wedding day snuck up so fast. 10/10 recommend this venue!

too, so we knew it would be difficult to plan, decorate, clean up, etc. Also, we just wanted to enjoy our night and have our families/friends to have a nice get away weekend as well. WatersEdge did exactly that for us. From the beginning, all of the breakdown of costs were clear, they handled the initial communication with their vendors and all of the WatersEdge crew and their vendors were extremely professional, helpful and responsive. This venue offers several events to literally have you pick everything you want. Each vendor will reach out to schedule a meeting with you on what your expectations are. All expectations were exceeded too! Hannah was our day of coordinator and she did everything exactly how I imagined. I also realized I forgot several things after our week before meeting and she was still extremely responsive and accommodating. If she was not available, her team stepped in to help. All extremely friendly and go-getters. Cindy was the baker who was perfect. All I had to do is pick my favors and show her inspiration photos - the cake came the day of perfect! Patrick was our DJ and he was the best DJ I have ever witnessed (I know I’m bias lol). He played exactly the styles we were looking for - practically read our minds. Even when he made a mistake (we are all human), he totally made up for it! Our guests were humored and/or he never skipped a beat! Patrick was just so easy to talk to and totally down to earth. Fiori was the florist and they are SO TALENTED. They did my centerpieces, alter and fireplace flowers. The roses were absolutely gorgeous and huge - the centerpieces were included in the venue price too! I just brought my inspiration pictures to them and they made all the dreams come alive. The venue itself is just beautiful too. It has back up plans and spaces. The only little downside was there are no elevators, just a chair lift outside. We did have a few older guests and did our wedding outside downstairs, but we let our families know and they took their time getting there down the stairs. For those who could not do the stairs, the WatersEdge venue staff jumped right on it and helped them on the lift. I seriously can’t say enough of how amazing bc this entire process was. I can’t emphasize that they do the set up and tear down, you just have to load/unload your car. I have been in many weddings where we have to get on the ladder and take down decor at midnight - not necessary here! It made wedding planning and the wedding day itself fun and exciting - even my husband loved every bit of it!

The venue itself is absolutely beautiful with indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces and a ballroom where my boho wedding dreams came true! They took the time to understand the specific details I wanted to my wedding unique and helped execute them the day of! They're constantly upgrading their wedding options to meeting the latest wedding trends too!

he was also a great pleasure to work with and helped make us stay on track. The Vendors they had us work with were fantastic. Each one helped ease our minds and give us steps to build our wedding the way we want it. Now for the downside. We can confirm with some other posts around the dismissive nature of management with COVID. In late Fall we were really concerned and reached out to Joanna about possibly changing our date, even wanting to potentially choose a less desirable date. This was a hard decision for us but she really made us feel like we didn't matter in choosing the fate of our wedding. She basically told us what was going to happen. She dismissed our questions as political about the pandemic. All we did was ask for the data that shows weddings are spreader events for covid which was claim she made. After spending so much money already by this time we really felt locked into what they decided was best for us. That was not a good a feeling to have. The reason this didn't effect the score as much is because thankfully the vaccine started to happen and number of our guests were able to get vaccinated before the event. Even then a number of guests opted not to come but Kayla and Watersedge was willing to accommodate us some financially because of the greatly reduced gust list. It would have been nice to know this earlier but we welcomed it anyways. So our final verdict is that if you feel very confident in your date not changing this is a great venue to work with and that the majority of people you're working with will make the experience awesome!!! But that one interaction with Joanna will always leave a sour taste in our mouth but not enough to ruin our experience. Had the vaccine not come around as it did this would be a different rating though.

that! We picked this venue mainly for their all-inclusive option- literally all we had to do was drop off our personalized decorations and show up to get married. We got married during my final year of Nurse Practitioner school... during the midst of a pandemic. Did I mention they also give a firefighter/nurse discount?! COVID- they had hand sanitizers everywhere (we also had individual ones at each place setting), require guests to wear a mask to obtain a drink or while getting food, and had 6 feet spacing on the floors. Essentially, restrictions were in place but it definitely didn't ruin our day like we thought COVID would do. Spoiler alert... we had 120 people at our wedding with not a single person got sick- thank you lord, and thank you WatersEdge! Food- holy smokes!!! We got so many compliments from guests on the prime rib and stuffed shells. We even had a guest say the champagne was the best they've ever had. Our DJ Patrick was awesome. He is a pro and just knows how to keep the reception flowing even if you're slightly behind schedule, and the party upbeat. We had a saxophonist and guitarist for our ceremony and he went above and beyond to make sure they were all set up with everything they needed! Florals- their in-house floral company changed after we booked and before our day .. we were slightly nervous about this and I have no idea why! We just showed them IG pictures and they exceeded our expectations from our centerpieces to our bouquets! Finally, KAYLA--- our day-of wedding coordinator. She is literally amazing. I cannot say enough positive things about her. She thinks of things that you never would ever even think of as a bride to make sure your day goes smoothly. Not to mention, she left the sweetest note to me in the bridal suite the day of.. and honestly, just makes sure that you feel beautiful and have the BEST day on your day with no worries. Thank you to the whole WatersEdge crew for making our day safe, beautiful, and filled with many moments we will always remember!

0 winter wedding due to the ongoing pandemic. Joanna, who is incredibly difficult to reach by phone, stated the following via email: “Reschedules are not being done past 4/12 and there is no reason to think this will still be going on even close to December.“ As a healthcare professional, I understood the magnitude of the pandemic and its potential threat to my guests and loved ones, so I ultimately decided to reschedule my wedding date. Upon rescheduling, Joanna was NOT flexible and offered me only 1-2 wedding date options for 2021 (both were undesirable dates, one being the weekend of Thanksgiving 2021). I even offered to pay more for a better date option. She did not seem to care to be reasonable or accommodate my desires. She already had 20% of the full wedding payment at this point (non-refundable) and did not seem to care about me, my wedding, or my concerns. In October, I ended up CANCELING the wedding after a lot of thought and consideration. Ultimately, it was Joanna’s LACK of concern and care to accommodate me during unprecedented circumstances that led me to that decision. If she had been more flexible, accommodating, and compassionate, I would have kept it. (I will also add that I made a $4,000 payment one week prior to rescheduling. So it was even more unnerving to me how unwilling she was to work with me just one week after that payment. I would have never authorized the payment if I knew how difficult and passive-aggressive she was going to be with rescheduling.) Upon cancellation, I also pointed out her inaccurate prediction of events not being affected by COVID “even close to December”. She replied via email, “[My email] is still accurate. All weddings are still going forward as planned...” There is clearly no concern about COVID and weddings being super-spreader events in her smug reply. Initially, Watersedge was recommended to me by family members in Columbus. When I told them about my poor experience, they were surprised. Unfortunately, I don’t think the owner/investors know how POORLY this venue is being managed. I would NOT recommend Watersedge to any bride. FIND ANOTHER VENUE where the wedding director is warm, kind, and enjoyable to work with, NOT DISMISSIVE, ARROGANT, and PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE. (Happily, I have found a better venue— a more beautiful and superior venue where the director is kind, flexible, easy to reach, and caring— which is worth every penny.) When it comes to the most important day of your life, book a venue where they actually care about you and don’t look at you like just a number!!! WARNING: PROCEED WITH CAUTION with Watersedge!!!

Everything was set up perfectly upon our arrival, which allowed myself and my family to relax and not have to worry about a thing. The staff took such wonderful care of our guests and we are still receiving compliments on how amazing our wedding was. It couldn't have been possible without Watersedge!

The options were to cancel the event for a 50% refund of our contract amount (wedding venue would have kept about $10,000), move the wedding to a weekday for the same contract amount or move our wedding to select weekend days for an extra $5,000 on top of the contract amount. After exchanging letters with their lawyers, we decided to have our ceremony at home due to not being able to negotiate with the venue. WatersEdge caused us a lot of stress, and I advise to avoid them in all circumstances.

because we loved so much about it: the huge windows in the reception area, the pond in the backyard, the wrap around patio over the pond, and the huge-ness of the space. Once we booked our date, the Watersedge staff did everything they could to make our wedding planning as easy as possible. To make the already stressful event of a wedding even more stressful, the Corona Virus shut down the country about 4 months before our wedding was to take place. Even with a date in July, we got married in the middle of a pandemic. And Watersedge rose above and beyond to the occasion. Our contact, Kayla, was super responsive and always very helpful with every concern I ever had throughout the 2 years before our wedding. She was particularly helpful and supportive during the pandemic and was just super awesome at keeping us updated on the situation and what was being done to keep guests safe. In the end, we got married in the middle of the pandemic with about 55 guests and not a single person got sick. In addition to the awesome staff employed at Watersedge, I have to give another 5 star review to the vendors they employ. Meetings with vendors started happening around 5 months before the wedding (right around when the pandemic started too!) and every single vendor was professional and very helpful. Our DJ, Patrick, was the most helpful person I've ever met. He helped put together our day-of timeline and on the wedding day, he was the practically the emcee of the evening. He did a great job directing guests and moving us from event to event, not to mention getting everyone dancing. Another vendor, Gayle, who is the Watersedge florist is beyond a genius. I wish I could post photos of the wonderful bouquets she made me and my bridesmaids. Finally, we got so many compliments from our guests about the food. We had ordered black chicken and a stuffed shell as our entrees and both were delicious! Our cake was also beautiful and flavorful. Everything Watersedge offers is able to be customized. Different packages are offered a la carte style which is perfect for both brides who want it all and the bride on a budget. Watersedge is the perfect wedding venue and they definitely deserve all of the awards they've won the past 5 years. The venue is picturesque and there's so many options to make your wedding day exactly how you want it; it's hard to believe you get all that for such a reasonable price. You won't find another venue like this one anywhere (except their sister property Brookshire). So, me and all the other brides leaving 5 star reviews would highly recommend booking this wonderful venue!

We were a COVID couple and she made rescheduling so easy. She kept us up to date day to day on any changes with guidelines or requirements. Any last minute changes we had she just went with the flow. The venue itself is amazing but as with anything the people are what make it work. The staff was amazing and moved around the room so quickly. They were extremely attentive to all guests. I recommend Watersedge to anyone who wants a stress free and beautiful day!

Everything was perfect on the day of our wedding, and our guests were raving about how beautiful everything turned out. Everything went very smooth on our big day, thanks to Kayla and her team. They even helped us with finding our wedding officiant at their open house, Jeff Kniece, who also did a great job for a very reasonable price. Their in-house florist, Bloomtastic, took care of all ceremony flowers for an extra cost as well. The prices for everything is VERY reasonable, especially considering that everything is in one place. Following the wedding, they sent us the nicest thank you card and they still share photos from our wedding on social media today, which makes us feel so special. Thank you so much WatersEdge and we would recommend your venue a thousand times over!

There was no extra stress with having to find quotes and contact different vendors- they had all the best vendors picked out for you already. Along with that - Kayla, was our personal wedding planner at WatersEdge and she did it all! She was always there to offer advice and answer questions. She also made life easy by having us drop off the decorations and she decorated the entire venue for us! We met one time to go over where I wanted things to be and she nailed it. She made everything so simple and easy, in a not so simple time. Not only was the process a breeze, but the venue itself is gorgeous! It is overlooking a beautiful pond and has such great greenery for pictures. I can't say enough great things about WatersEdge - it was simply the best decision we made for our special day.

So many people approached us saying that the burban flank steak was the best they have ever had and most admitted they went for seconds! The staff was so sweet they even packed us a togo box of all our food and cake that we could have the next day! I have no regrets about the venue and would recommend having your wedding there without hesitation! Not one guest told us a negative comment about the venue, staff, food, bartenders, cake or music. Hands down was more than I ever imagined!

We brought a lot of our own decor items and they were all perfectly displayed when we showed up the day of. Andrew, our DJ, ran the rehearsal and played a huge part in making sure the ceremony & reception stayed on schedule! He was amazing to work with. We have heard endless praise from our guests about the venue: how beautiful it was, the food, the deck/pond, the staff, etc. Our wedding day was perfect and we have WatersEdge to thank for that!

DJ Patrick was also great on keeping us on time and making sure we do all of the special dances and speeches we wanted. We did a nontraditional wedding song for the ceremony and I was worried about how the timing would work out and he was able to time it up perfectly so the end of the song was right as I reached the aisle way. We did the buffet option for food. Everything was amazing and we were able to take home the leftovers which was really nice for the next day when we were all tired and didn't want to cook! WatersEdge is a great venue, they made everything with planning super easy, I would recommend it in a heartbeat.

All I had to do was email and meet with the vendors. Kayla was an email away and responded quickly to all my questions. One of my favorite parts (which there were many) was at the end of the night they packed everything up for us... All we had to do was load it into our car. WatersEdge has a beautiful location too! My guests continually complimented the pond with the fountain and the outside deck area. Again, this place is wonderful and really makes sure everything runs smoothly. I would recommend this place over and over!

I was an out of town bride and in the beginning I was nervous about how hard it will be to plan the wedding without taking too much time off of work. Needless to say my worries were soon gone. All of the planning was seamless and stress free with having food, drinks, cake, flowers, and linens all provided through WatersEdge. Everyone was very accommodating to us being out of town and made the process so stress free. On the night of the wedding and since then, our guests haven't stopped raving about the venue. It looked better than I pictured in my head! The food was amazing and the dance floor was packed all night. If you are looking to get married in Columbus, look no further than here. You won't regret it!

Our DJ, Andrew was wonderful and helped pick out our perfect playlist. One of our groomsman even said he needed to get a copy of it for himself. The cake was beautiful and tasted amazing as well. Our flowers, although the design had to be altered a bit, were beautiful and I loved my bouquet. The fact that my family could enjoy our special day together and not have to worry about setting up and taring down was a special bonus that I would recommend everyone take advantage of when possible. I could honestly go on about how wonderful Watersedge is. This business is truly ran by people who love what they do and it shows every step of the way.

Having everything in an all in one package was truly convenient and made wedding planning so much easier. Venue - Amazing. It was the perfect fit of rustic and cozy for our 125 guests. We opted to have our ceremony inside because we didn't want to chance with the weather, but the grounds are beautiful for an outside ceremony as well. Having it in front of the fireplace with the hanging lights above and the open concept with all the windows made it just the right choice and still very scenic for us. And the grounds were wonderful for taking pictures after our ceremony while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour. The getting ready rooms worked great for us and we couldn't have been happier with how everything flowed...from the ceremony to the cocktail hour both outside and inside, to how quickly the staff were able to turn around the room to make it ready to go for our reception. It worked out perfectly. Wedding Coordinator - Kayla was an absolute dream to work with. She single handedly did a great job throughout the entire process. She was always very attentive to any question I had and responded so quickly via email. I so appreciated how kind and attentive she was. On the day of the event, she ensured everything was set up perfectly and was a calming presence as we were getting lined up to walk down the aisle. She was so very professional, friendly, and I am positive the day went so well because of her assistance! Flowers - We had Gayle not only do our table décor (which was part of the package) but also our bridal party flowers for consistency and I have to say, they were breathtaking! She has the most wonderful vision and the blue thistle she thought of to put in our bouquets and on the boutonniere's was the perfect touch. All the greenery looked wonderful on the tables as well. She was very accommodating and was able to even adjust last minute when we wanted to have some greenery and candles added above the fireplace as part of the backdrop for when we got married. It was just the right touch! Cake - The cake is also included in the venue package and it turned out wonderful. Everything we could have ever wanted. They were able to make each layer a different flavor - yummy! Entertainment - Patrick was our DJ and MC for the evening. He did a wonderful job keeping us updated on time and getting the party started :) The website he had for us to request all the songs was very easy to use, and he was able to make a special request happen for my family too by playing a polka to celebrate our heritage. I also have him to thank for being able to bring a music stand for our celebrant to use during our ceremony... It's the little touches and support we had from all the staff at Watersedge that made the day and evening so very memorable. We have beautiful memories from our day and have Watersedge to thank for that!

The food was as good as you can expect - nothing amazing (although the macaroni and cheese got great reviews from our guests) but pretty good. The florist they contract with for the flowers was easy to work with - accommodating with doing a meeting over Skype, and willing to work with us to reduce the prices of the ceremony flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages). The venue also failed to provide us with an outdoor heat lamp we had requested - a $100 cost. My biggest gripe is the poor service from the venue itself. We had one person ("day-of coordinator") we were communicating with for the year-plus in advance of the day. She was even there the day before, during our rehearsal, and we were telling her about the details we needed handled. She NEVER told us that she WOULD NOT BE THERE ON THE DAY. Someone I had never met was there for my wedding and had no idea about virtually any of the details we had discussed the day before. So I had to waste over an hour of my time (that was supposed to be dedicated to pictures) to fixing everything they had messed up. In addition, a very sentimental decoration was broken in their care - all we got was an email. Moreover, after the day, they never followed up to ask how everything went. I was left VERY dissatisfied. (Other positives, though: Patrick the DJ was good, bartender was friendly, too)

Gayle Dean, the florist, did a beautiful job on the centerpieces and my bouquet and exactly created what I imagined and she even hung all of our fairy lights. The pastry chef, Cindy Patrick, made a out cake as delicious as it was beautiful. But the real MVP of the night was our DJ, Patrick Watkins. He did a fantastic job putting our music together, getting all guests where they needed to be, and effortlessly helped us adjust the timing as necessary as the night progressed. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.

even notice in terms of our seated meal! I really felt like I had nothing to worry about and my family could enjoy themselves as well. We got so many compliments about how beautiful the event space was and many people said it was the best reception they had been to. The only complaint I have is that the chicken in the chicken breast and petit filet dish was very dry. Our guests thought so as well, but they loved the petit filet, appetizers, and especially the cake and open bar! We can't thank Kayla and watersedge enough for our wonderful wedding!
