Lemon and Lace Studios offers warm, honest photography service for weddings and other special events based near Des Moines, IA. Katie and Victoria are the creative duo behind this endeavor. They're happy to travel across the midwest for to-be-weds, as well as further afield for exciting destination celebrations. Katie and Victoria seek out the authentic with their work through Lemon and Lace Studios. They hope to document your day at its most natural capturing every emotion you might experience. They see photos as a way to tell a story and will work hard to commit your one-of-a-kind love story to camera. Lemon and Lace Studios offers an array of photographic products and services, including engagement photoshoots. Victoria will work with Katie as her assistant, helping to document every last detail of the day. Their images are available as digital files and prints, as well as in albums that you can cherish for years to come.

eginning, Katie has focused on what our vision is and what we want for our special day. Our engagement pictures included several different locations and scenes, if you will, which we LOVED because it gave us so many beautiful options to choose from and we just loved how much variety we got. Also, my fiance actually enjoyed taking engagement pictures... which if you can get my fiance to actually ENJOY taking pictures then you are a total queen in my book!!! Katie is quick to respond with any inquiries, questions, or concerns you may have. I know that on our wedding day we won't have to worry about if we are getting the shots we want and if we are going to remember our day the way that we want. Lemon and Lace has, like I mentioned, exceeded our expectations since the beginning and I know they will continue to do so in April! 1,000 % would recommend Katie and Lemon and Lace Studios!!!!!

Katie and Victoria took their time, led the way with poses, and made us feel SO comfortable and SO natural during our session and it showed when Katie sent us the pictures. We both looked at them together and had tears in our eyes because of how well Katie portrayed our relationship through them. I can’t even begin to tell you how many people reached out with how beautiful they were when they were released ! My husband and I were also a couple affected by Covid 19 and had to post pone our major reception and Katie was so kind and understanding. She was willing to accommodate with whatever we decided to do moving forward (she was even willing to travel if we decided to last minute elope). I can PROMISE you that you will not be disappointed and I can’t wait to use her for ALL of my pictures in the future!

I have used Katie for my engagement photos , family photos, Christmas photos, and upcoming specialty birthday pictures. She has even traveled and hour and a half to my location to do them. Every picture I've received from her has been amazing, ...

she has always directed us on how to pose, stand, ect. My kids are hyper and not easy but she gets us in and out and the pictures are always amazing. I highly recommend!!

What a disappointment to read such a false review below. As the associate photographer of Lemon and Lace Studios, I often accompany Katie for engagement sessions as a second set of hands, and to help with posing and things, so after watching th...

e entire session referenced in the review (as well as so many others lovely engagement sessions!) I can certainly say Katie poses couples, and takes her time with each session. She cares more about the individual session than watching a clock for a set amount of time, so weather a session takes an hour or 3 it turns out beautiful every time. She cares about happy clients and has a countless number of them behind her and this wonderful business! Sometimes for financial or other reasons a couple and photographer may not be the best fit for each other but to see a financial decision turn into a false "roasting" of a business is just very sad. 10/5 stars here!

worked with this couple. To put this in perspective. Trey has been messaging my fiancé literally the same day he left the review. Wishing us "luck and happiness", and stating, they just went another route and wished I would of worked with them. What it came down to is finances, which at the time I even agreed to work with them. I was only paid a nonrefundable retainer. I was never paid for the payment due at the time of the engagement session. I will not be going into any further detail as a pending lawsuit for defamation is now under way with an entire message and email trail. I love my couples and I take great care of my clients. ALWAYS. I would never of made it this far in business of 10 years without truly caring and doing what is right and below is just a disgusting, absurd attempt to smear a small business in an effort to have me pay back a nonrefundable retainer of a contract they backed out on.
