Lionhearted Events

We used Lionhearted for month of coordination services for our October 2024 wedding. Communication with Grace was so seamless and we worked with Anna for our actual event. Anna was a life saver. It was so nice to have her to keep us on track for the day of and at the rehearsal as well. She helped us clean up and keep track of all of our important personal items. It was so nice to have someone keep the pieces moving that final month with all the vendors so we didn't have to be a part of all that back and forth! Highly recommend!!

My partner & I were so grateful for Grace at Lionhearted Events for helping us plan, execute, and elevate our wedding in Chicago, IL. She was truly the glue that held everything together, from the rehearsal the night before to the end of the night clean-up. Grace was so great to work with! She communicated clearly, was great to be around, which is important when you're going to be spending an entire day with them and was an amazing advocate for my husband and I for our wedding. I had a nightmare of a situation with my hair and make up three days before the wedding when they tried to cancel! Grace was all over it and helped to save the day! I would 100% recommend her for any event!

Grace was amazing. I can't imagine how we could have done our wedding without her. We were in California when we got engaged and she helped us find the most amazing vendors, all within our price point. She was always available when we had a question or needed something. Leading up to the wedding she was at every final event and was always so prepared. Having her there at the rehearsal and the actual wedding was one of the best decisions we could have made. I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Anna! I was really skeptical about needing a coordinator until closer to our date when I realized how many moving pieces there were and that I didn’t want my maid of honor or my mom to be responsible for. I was recommended Lionhearted Events by a coworker who used them last year and had a great experience as well and I was not disappointed! I’m so glad we ended up hiring them, I was able to have piece of mind and she was so thoughtful in helping us wrap up the final touches - highly highly highly recommend!

I am so grateful to have had Grace for our wedding! She’s calm and collected under pressure and was just the calming influence I needed as an anxious type A personality! We had the greatest time at our wedding and were able to be fully present with our friends and family, and dance the night away knowing all the details were being taken care of!

I know there were a few hiccups behind the scenes but Anna handled them like a pro and made sure that nothing interfered with our celebrations. I know I would have been so stressed if I didn't have her to help guide us through this process and the day of - I'd hire them over and over again!

HIRE GRACE AND THE LIONHEARTED TEAM IMMEDIATELY. So many guests talked about how our wedding day had great "flow" and that was all due to Grace and her talented team. We had a complicated transition as our ceremony was on the roof of a hotel, but our reception was in a ballroom on the ground floor, but Grace and her team nailed the timing to move 160 guests and we never ran behind schedule. Grace was critical to getting our vendors organized and ready for the big day. She was a calming force (perhaps a therapist?) when I had a conflict with our venue and when I thought it might rain! Her texts and emails were always incredibly thorough and positive. She also designed and executed our vision for a unique seating table chart (we had every guest's photos listed by a table number) - it was BEAUTIFUL and guests are STILL talking about it; she is so creative and meticulous. She also just became a friend - she helped me change out of my wedding dress into my afterparty dress, and always remained patient (I should mention that our wedding was delayed THREE times in 3 years! - yet she always stuck by us and gave us "grace.") I hope you get an opportunity to work with the Lionhearted team - you won't regret it!

Grace was our day-of wedding coordinator for our 6/10/23 wedding, and we cannot recommend Grace and Lionhearted Events enough! Grace was very friendly but also direct, organized, and knowledgeable, which we personally valued immensely in a coordinator. She kept everything on track during our wedding and allowed us to be present the whole day and not worry about any of the logistics, big or small. Thank you Grace!

Grace was my coordinator and I couldn’t have asked for more! She was perfect. She completely ran the show and made it look easy.

Grace helped make our wedding everything we hoped it would be. She coordinated with all of our other vendors, helped us figure out every little detail (and there were a lot of them) and made sure our wedding stayed on schedule and ran seamlessly. I could tell during our wedding that there were a million things going on behind the scenes that needed managing, and Grace took care of everything so we did not have to worry about any of those things or even think about them; we were able to just completely enjoy our wedding, which is how it should be. We couldn't recommend Grace highly enough to future couples planning a wedding.

We worked with Haylie from Lionhearted Events and we are so incredibly impressed with the professionalism, thorough communications (we got married in Chicago but live in Los Angeles and she was always available to connect and answer questions/concerns), she really made sure it was a smooth and happy experience from beginning to end. Honestly can’t say enough great things about Haylie or this company, it also helped that several of our vendors had worked with the company as well and only had great things to say!

We booked Grace to be our month of coordinator for our wedding. She was a god send, she is super organized and communicative and I am so happy that we found her. Although I did plan my wedding and booked all my vendors myself, there was no way I could’ve coordinated everything like she did. Grace handled communicating with the vendors and created schedules and thought through all the logistics, like the order of the ceremony, timing of toasts and dancing, she ordered mixers that were missing from our bar, and helped orchestrate all the decor that we had brought. On the day of the wedding, it was nice to not think about all those details and just enjoy myself and I have her to thank for that. I highly recommend her!

After having to postpone our wedding 3 times due to COVID, to say I was done planning is an understatement. Anna was our coordinator and she was an absolute miracle worker. It was a complete load off of my shoulders the minute Grace introduced us. I could not recommend Grace and her team enough - they take so much pride in their work, are on top of everything and just a joy to be around.

Grace is superwoman. She was everywhere all at once and our day went on without a single hiccup. I would not have been able to enjoy the big day or have as much fun as I did if Grace was not there. There could have been absolute chaos but I would have never known because she handled everything so incredibly well. Hiring Grace was one of the best decisions I made and everyone needs one of her! After every single one of my married friends convinced me that I needed a day-of-coordinator, we booked Lionhearted Events because their pricing seemed reasonable and they had experience with our venue which was important to me. Haylie was PHENOMENAL. I had worked with Grace over the course of our pandemic reschedule (booked them mid 2019, then pushed our Sept 2020 date to ultimately get married Aug 2021) and she was super responsive, provided helpful advice, answered countless questions, and just made us feel at ease the entire time. We felt like we were in good hands and that everything was taken care of throughout the planning experience. About a month before the wedding, Haylie introduced herself to us and she was literally what my wedding planner dreams were made of - she was so knowledgeable, smart, professional, easygoing, kind yet firm when needed. She was able to seamlessly corral all our vendors - some that we hadn't touched base with in a long time due to the pandemic reschedule - her memory is also impeccable. When we had a last minute snafu the day before, she not only convinced me that it would not affect the big day (spoiler: she was right) but she was kind and thoughtful about it as well beyond just what a planner is supposed to do to handle logistics. The day of, she coordinated everything beautifully and sent me a recap the next morning letting me know where everything landed. I truly could not recommend Grace and Haylie enough to anyone that is looking for a stress-free wedding planner experience.

Echoing everyone else's reviews - hiring Grace was the best decision we made. We opted for the day-of coordination, but got so much more when COVID postponed our wedding in 2020. Grace communicated with all of our vendors and made the rescheduling process so smooth on our end. We had our final walkthrough in March 2020 and the next day things started shutting down. In what felt like the blink of an eye, Grace rescheduled all of our vendors for 2021 (which she then had to do another time when we had to push back again) with ease - or at least on our end it seemed easy. She honored our original contract and gave us such great advice and support as we got back into the groove of wedding planning in October 2021. Day of, Grace had everything under control. Even when I felt like things were stressful because guests were being high maintenance or making messes (i.e. needing an entirely new tablecloth and place setting 5 minutes into dinner), Grace took it all in stride and had everything handled. When my husband and I didn't get to finish our dinner, Grace boxed it up so we could take it home. I don't know how Grace managed it all with so many postponements, cancellations, double/triple wedding weekends, etc. but she did. I know that if we didn't have Grace, our wedding would not have been the amazing day that it was. I highly recommend working with Grace!

Hiring Grace was easily the best and smartest decision my wife and I made during the wedding process! Grace was referred to us by a coworker shortly after we got engaged. After a phone call and in-person meeting, we hired Grace in December 2019. Since we had no interest/time to figure out all the best vendors in Chicago, we opted for partial planning which easily paid for itself due to Grace’s amazing recommendations and knowledge of the wedding industry. Knowing what we know now, we would have made two different choices: 1) hired Grace BEFORE you choose a venue (can’t stress that enough), 2) we should have opted for full planning since our experience was so great! Little did we know the Covid-19 pandemic was on the horizon when we started working with Grace. A common theme that we heard from other friends getting married around the same time as us is that all their vendors were doing one of the following: 1) going out of business and keeping their deposit, 2) demanding payment upfront, 3) raising their prices. Grace did none of those and the vendors she recommended (and we contracted) with were very flexible given the circumstances. When the chips were down, everyone’s true colors were shown and Grace was the incredible person we knew she was! The entire wedding planning process was as smooth as you could expect in the middle of a pandemic. Grace kept updating us with the most recent rule changes in Chicago while also letting us know what we needed to get done on a month by month basis. The day of our wedding was very relaxing - Grace handled everything from start to finish so we were able to enjoy the day. We can’t recommend Grace highly enough!!

If you're on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, please just do it. And if you don't know who to choose, just go ahead and book Lionhearted because Grace absolutely made my day perfect. We booked Grace for partial planning but I swear, it felt like she was with us every step of the way. She was incredibly quick in responding to our questions, always available to listen to my nervous rants, and willing to give her honest opinion about everything, which I so very much needed. My husband and I have very loud family members and friends who do not follow instructions, ever. Grace was able to wrangle all of us during the rehearsal and command attention the day of the wedding. I am naturally an anxious person so on my wedding day, I was an absolute wreck. Grace's relaxed energy radiated throughout the craziness and she found a way to get me to calm down in a matter of minutes. Needless to say, everything went off without a hitch and the day turned out to be even better than I dreamed it would be. Grace is a powerhouse planner with your budget in mind - there was not a decision made before she reminded me that we were to stick to our numbers but at the same time, she allowed us to make choices that we felt fit our vision. I cannot recommend Grace enough, I don't think my day would have been as perfect were it not for her! Stop searching, go ahead and book Lionhearted already!

Hiring Lionhearted was hands down the BEST decision we made in planning our wedding. We live in California, but got married in Chicago, and planning our wedding at a huge distance was a pretty huge challenge! Grace was so helpful, patient, and consultative even before we signed a contract. When we were paired with Anna, she was simply a dream. It was like she could read my mind; every time we had a call and I said "Oh I need to email so and so" she'd say "I've done that already." She easily added 5 years back onto our lives by the stress she took away from wedding planning! Anna was such a pro, multiple vendors, guests, and family members pulled us aside to comment on how friendly, calm, and professional she was. I'd recommend Lionhearted to anyone and would work with them again in a heartbeat. Hire them; you will not be sorry!

We worked with Anna in Chicago and she was awesome to work with! She helped with the final vendor coordination, handled vendor walkthroughs of the venue, and developed a detailed day-of timeline. But the biggest thing was that she handled all of the day-of details - which is the main thing we wanted. She made sure that every venue and setup detail was covered and ensured we stayed on timeline throughout the night. We would highly recommend working with Anna and Lionhearted Events!

We worked with Anna for our wedding in May and she was phenomenal. She fully managed all communication with our vendors and executed our vision perfectly. After DIY-ing our first (covid) wedding in August, I have a much better understanding and appreciation for all the hard work and extra stress we saved by having her around. Everything went so smoothly, I could not be more impressed.

You definitely want to book Grace for your next event! She was a pleasure to work with from the beginning. Very responsive and easy, was knowledgable from the get go and was very patient/helpful with us along the way (we were unaware of how weddings worked!) Through our wedding rehearsal and wedding she kept everything moving smoothly, gave great direction and worked so well wrangling our whole wedding party and family. We never had to worry about anything. Definitely highly recommend her to everyone!

I can NOT overemphasize how important Lionhearted Events was on my wedding day! I truly got to experience and enjoy my wedding day and I know all of that was because my entire day was organized and they were running around behind the scene making sure everything was perfect so I didn't have to!

Best money I spent my money on was partial planning services with Grace. She understood and helped us execute our vision and was so incredibly organized, and responsive to our needs. During our final walk through before the wedding I was so amazed by how under control she had everything. I just remember saying to my now husband that she was a wedding ninja. In the weeks leading up to our wedding she handled all of the coordination with our varied vendors without any involvement from us which saved us from so much stress and anxiety. Day of she made sure everything was more amazing and awesome than we could have imagined. If you invest in anything for your wedding, invests in help from Lionhearted events!

Hiring Grace from Lionhearted Events was probably the best decision we made during our wedding planning process. From start to finish she was reliable, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. It was clear from the beginning that she knows exactly what she's doing and that we were in good hands. She was always there to help if we had questions or needed opinions along the way. I loved working with Grace this past summer on a beautiful summer wedding. As the Director of Catering at the Palomar Chicago - I work with and meet ALL kinds of vendors. Grace is such a professional - she's fun to work with, level-headed, and knows how to ensure couples have a stress-free day of celebrating. Couples spend precious time planning their wedding, and it's a pity when they can't enjoy the day. Grace makes sure her couples can and do dance the night away.

My husband and I wanted a non-traditional wedding and a hands-off planning experience. I found Grace through The Knot, and I really liked the vibe of her weddings--unique, interesting, specific to the couple. Grace did an awesome job of helping us to plan a wedding that felt like us. She found us really great vendors that completely matched our aesthetic. And somehow, she managed to keep my husband and I on budget, which I imagine was no easy feat. As for the actual wedding day, it was perfect. My husband and I had the most fun, with zero stress. It felt like everything went perfectly to plan without even trying (which probably means Grace was doing a million things behinds the scenes.) Thanks Grace!

Living in London and wanting to get married in Chicago it was clear from the start that we would need a wedding planner. Man were we lucky to find Grace on "the knot", probably the coolest, most down to earth, and simply most amazing wedding planner there is. She worked with our budget, coming in slightly below in the end - even though we were told by other planners we talked to that we are on the lower end of budgets for Chicago weddings and it would be really difficult to stick to the budget. She handled my mother in law and her sisters like a pro when it came to their decoration ideas. And she dealt with all the last minute requested and changes like the wedding boss she is - we had an outdoor ceremony planned but then ended up with pouring rain on the day - no reason to panic as Grace turned it around to an indoor ceremony in no time and it looked like we had always planned it that way. All the service providers she recommended (hair, photographer, band) were amazing to work with too - she found us the rock cover band in Chicago - everyone is still talking about the amazing party we had. We really cannot recommend Grace enough. Thank you!

Everybody should book Grace for their wedding day!! My husband and I both felt that hiring Grace was the best money we spent during the entire wedding as she allowed us to fully enjoy our special day. We did the month of package and Grace helped us put together our minute by minute timeline (including countless revisions that she patiently incorporated). She also came to a walk through of the venue with us which was incredibly helpful. Most importantly, she handled EVERYTHING on the wedding day so that we didn’t have to worry. Everything went smoothly and if there were any issues that came up on our wedding day, we didn’t know about them! A true professional that we would recommend to any couple!

Leading up to the wedding they were both incredibly organized, responsive, positive, and reassuring. Grace was AMAZING. Let's be real for a second.. my family is a handful and I can be very scatter brained.. Grace had the perfect amount of sternness to keep everyone in line, yet 'cool, calm, and collected' to keep you at ease. I always felt that she had my back. I absolutely LOVED working with Grace as our day-of coordinator! She is so flexible and easygoing, but gets the job done and makes sure everyone knows where they should be and what they should be doing on the big day! She’s so good at her job and has the foresight you need in a wedding planner. Her suggestions for how the day should be organized we’re perfect, and I loved the perspective she brought to our vision. We live out of town, but working with Grace to organize and get everything ready was very easy via phone and email. She truly went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. We actually received compliments on how organized our wedding was, and it’s all thanks to her! I would recommend Grace over and over again, and we are so thankful for everything she did for us!

I am forever grateful for Grace and her team! They were absolutely amazing both leading up to and on the day of my wedding! My fiancé and I are forever grateful- we know we could’ve never pulled off our perfect day without them!

All I can say is Grace is amazing!!! I am the most type-A person, and Grace took care of every single detail I could imagine throughout our wedding weekend. We were able to truly enjoy our wedding day and not stress about any of the coordination or execution because Grace was behind the scenes ensuring everything was done flawlessly. Grace is the Wedding Boss! She executed our vision so well and kept everyone on track all night, I can’t say enough good things! If you need someone who is extremely organized with attention to detail (that timeline was amazing!!!) you need to hire Lionhearted Events - they’re awesome!
