Rev Jeff Straub was our officiant and he did an amazing job ! We had so many people come up to us saying that the ceremony was beautiful. Jeff took the time to really get to know us and our story, and intertwined it into the ceremony perfectly. We would 100% recommend Jeff and Love Story Weddings!!
We had Rev. Chris as our officiant and he did a wonderful job! We communicated with him through Zoom for the entire process and he did a great job writing a script that shared our love story! He made the whole process very easy and we couldn't have been more pleased with his work! My husband and I will also be taking advantage of the awesome vacation perks that come with booking through Love Story Weddings for our honeymoon in December! As far as officiants go, they are definitely on the pricier side, but with all the benefits and personalization I believe it was worth it!
We cannot be more pleased with the overall experience with Rev. Ed! From the first meeting to the official ceremony we felt like we were working with a longtime friend while planning our perfect day. The knowledge, experience, communication and professionalism met and absolutely exceeded expectations! What began as a vendor to client relationship has turned into a lifelong friendship that we are beyond grateful to have established. For anybody looking for a very unique and intimate ceremony we cannot recommend The Love Story and Rev Ed enough! Your guests will be able to experience the true emotions of your story as it is passionately being told.

Rev. Jeff Straub made our wedding ceremony so special. I know we went over the script prior but it hit my heart differently that day. Every word was like I was hearing it for the first time and it filled me with so many emotions. He did an amazing job!
Pastor Brad was absolutely incredible. We knew he was our guy after the first 30 seconds talking with him. He was genuine, engaging, kind, patient and charismatic. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I would highly recommend Love Story Weddings, and specifically, Pastor Brad to anyone.
We had such a wonderful experience with Reverend Brad officiating our wedding ceremony, and we can’t recommend him enough! Before we even signed a contract with him, we met over a 1 hour Zoom call and he took the time to get to know us as a couple, and at the same time we got to know him and could already picture him officiating our ceremony. In the months leading up to our ceremony we had a very helpful planning worksheet that we filled out, and we used that worksheet for our final planning meeting with Reverend Brad before he wrote our ceremony script. We received a great 30 minute ceremony script prior to our wedding and had the opportunity to provide edits as we needed them. Reverend Brad led our rehearsal and made our entire wedding party feel comfortable and ready for the next day’s ceremony. At our wedding ceremony, Reverend Brad brought so much positive energy and we absolutely loved being surprised and hearing the love stories that each of us wrote about each other. We received so many compliments about the ceremony from our guests, and can’t recommend Reverend Brad enough!

Sometimes you’ll hear about a wedding that was great and beautiful BUT the ceremony was long or dull or a combination of the two. Overcoming that is always a trick. When looking for someone to perform our ceremony we wanted just the opposite.
We interviewed a few different people. Some were great and seemed like a great match, some not so much, then we came across Brad. Normally when you think something is too good to be true it usually is. With Brad though, it was too good to not be true.
From the moment we interviewed him we were hooked. He was very engaging and was deeply invested in hearing about our story and where we began. He could have told us about all his achievements and how he came to be what he is, but he left that at the door.
Within 5 minutes of ending our first call with Brad we knew he was our guy. Throughout the entire process Brad was on top of things he needed to do and things we needed to do for him. He was always available to talk if we had any questions or concerns and he did it with a smile. You may not have seen it through the phone but you could feel it.
The day of, oh man, the day of. Brad made everything seamless. Granted we rehearsed a little he night before but everything the day of was perfection. The crowd was very engaged. He kept everything light and fun. To this day we are still getting compliments on how refreshing the ceremony was compared to the normal wedding. We hear how that 20 min seemed to fly by like it was nothing. We hear how great Brad was in everything he did that day.
Brad, you’re a very genuine and kind soul. What you do is truly a unique skill set and we can’t thank you enough for performing our ceremony for us and doing the very best to start our very special journey in life.
Reverand Brit Gilman was absolutely amazing and the perfect choice for my wife and I. We could not have made a better choice with our officiant. From the very beginning, Brit was patient and understanding of what we wanted in our wedding ceremony, met with us and communicated instantly to ensure it was what we were looking for. The planning process was seamless, and he made himself available to use virtually any time to ensure success. On top of this, he was perfect for our wedding ceremony with over 150+ attendees in Chicago. Britt made my wife and I feel very comfortable through the planning process, rehearsal and ceremony which helped ease many of the nerves you have on wedding day. We now consider Brit a dear friend of ours and look forward to staying in touch with him.

Brad Hughes went above and beyond in his role as our wedding officiant. We first were exposed to Brad’s work through a friend’s wedding when we were wowed with the quality of ceremony he performed. When planning our dream wedding, we knew that we had to have Brad as our officiant! From the first phone call, Brad brought a high level of energy, attention to detail, and compassion in working with us to plan our ceremony.
In the week leading up to our wedding, Brad broke his leg. With an injury like that, it would have been totally understandable if Brad could no longer perform his duties. However, Brad showed us once again why he is truly no ordinary officiant! Brad followed through with performing our ceremony, broken leg and all. The ceremony itself was perfect and everything we had dreamed of. We had numerous guests tell us it was the best wedding ceremony they had ever witnessed. We both come from Catholic families and several relatives told us that they usually do not like ceremonies not held at the Church, but Brad’s ceremony changed their opinion!

Brad did a great job! Unlike most ceremonies that can be a bit tiring to listen to, he kept the audience engaged and made it very personal and easy to listen to. After the ceremony was done, we got a lot of requests for where we found him, and a lot of guests said it was the best ceremony they've ever been to! I would definitely recommend!
Our experience with Brad Hughes was unbelievably fantastic! We had met with him via Zoom several times in preparing for our ceremony, and he listened to every single one of our requests in what to speak about for our ceremony. We wanted a ceremony service that would be something to remember, and it was beyond what we could have ever imagined. Each of our guests came to us and had noted that it was the most beautiful, heart-felt, and unforgettable services they’ve ever been to, and we felt the same way! This was absolutely worth the investment, as it truly set the tone to the beginning of our marriage, which really and truly is the most important part of your wedding day. While Brad was booked on our day, we were paired with Jeff Thompson who turned out to be equally fantastic. He took time to get to know us and our story and he turned our survey answers into the perfect ceremony script. He was an absolute hit with our guests and we had multiple people ask us how we found him and if they could book him for their upcoming wedding. He had the perfect balance of humor, seriousness, friendliness, and compassion. His presence really set the tone for our ceremony and it was exactly what we were looking for.

Of course I was so stressed, and thank goodness I came across Rev. Brad on Google! He jumped on a quick call with me, and he turned my life upside down for the positive! He’s the most dedicated coach I could have ever asked for!
By the day before wedding, I felt confident I’d be able to do a good job officiating and help to create a very beautiful day for the bride and groom.
After the wedding, I was told that they had never seen anyone perform a nicer wedding! I take only 5% of the credit and Brad deserves 95%. Keep in mind I did everything in just one week!

Our first consultation meeting with him ended up being 3 hours because we just had the best time talking with him. He's professional, detail-oriented, easy going, and best of all - fun! His process is very thorough and guarantees what you and your guests hear on your special day is exactly what you want. We wanted a fun, personable, and heart warming ceremony and that's exactly what we got with Rev. Brad. We highly recommend him to anyone looking for an officiant for their big day! We initially met Rev. Brad through a Zoom meeting a whole year in advance to our wedding date. We were blown away by his professionalism and organization.
He took the time to really get to know us and understand our love story. He also facilitated a few couples counseling sessions which helped give us the tools to enjoy a long, happy, successful marriage.
Rev. Brad regularly checked in with us as our wedding day approached, happily answered any questions we had, and customized our entire ceremony to our liking. He even made it to our rehearsal on a very tight schedule and ran a full dry run which was very helpful!
On our wedding day, Rev. Brad exuded so much positive energy and personality and recounted our love story flawlessly. Our guests were laughing, crying, participating, and beaming with smiles all around. Afterwards, we had many guests tell us it was a fantastic ceremony!

When our rehearsal dinner rolled around, he made sure us and our wedding party were well prepared for the order of events for the ceremony. Everything ran so smoothly the day of the wedding! It truly took so much stress off of our shoulders choosing an officiant who would be very involved in our day and allowed us to soak up the moment. Brad was honestly the best officiant we could have hired for our wedding. When we first started researching officiants, it was really overwhelming as all officiants seemed to offer around the same things, and we couldn't find someone who really spoke to us. We didn't want our ceremony to be very cut and dry and scripted like any other weddings. And then we came across Brad. What sets Brad apart from the other officiants is the way he prioritizes couples’ love story as the main focus of the ceremony. A wedding should be about celebrating love and recognizing that love, and Brad really embraces that. We remember watching a preview of Love Story Weddings and being in awe at how beautiful his delivery was and how intentional his word choices were. He also has a very charming and warm personality, which made us feel instantly comfortable during our consultation. It was clear how genuine he was in truly getting to know us. The consultation was so helpful in that it helped us see how the whole ceremony would be played out with no surprises and that we were able to make changes however and wherever we wanted. We knew Brad was the perfect officiant for us and booked him on the spot. He was professional, accommodating, supportive, and knowledgeable throughout the whole process, and when we read the script he wrote for our ceremony, we were both in tears (and my husband rarely cries) as how beautifully it was written. On the day of the wedding, he officiated the most perfect and personable ceremony that we could have ever dreamed of. We received so many compliments from guests regarding how amazing Brad was and how much they love the love story idea. They asked us where we found him and were surprised to know that he didn't know us prior to the wedding. We truly cannot recommend Brad at Love Story Weddings enough!
Rev. Brad Hughes was the ABSOLUTE BEST! We cannot say enough good things about him. We started working with Rev. Brad about a month before our wedding since our original officiant fell through. He took the time to get to know us as a couple and then walk us through the ENTIRE ceremony process via zoom from the beginning to the end. This allowed us to obtain a clear picture of what our ceremony would be like and if it would be a good fit for our big day.
We liked that the ceremony would be personalized and customizable to us as a couple, making it special for everyone. We also liked that the ceremony was traditional in aspects, but also had a modern spin (eliminating outdated/boring aspects). After discussing ceremony details, I felt like we were able to communicate exactly what we were looking for or expecting for our wedding ceremony. We had been trying to create a memorable or personalized ceremony but had not been given the time or tools to accomplish this with other officiants. Rev. Brad also attended our rehearsal, which allowed our wedding party and parents to meet him and run through what the ceremony would be like, which we thought was extremely beneficial.
On our big day, Rev. Brad captured our love story perfectly and had our ourselves, friends, and family laughing, crying tears of joy, and smiling during the entire ceremony. The ceremony was brief, yet kept our guests engaged. Several guests approached us after our ceremony and said it was very well done and was THE BEST wedding ceremony that they have ever attended or seen. If you need an officiant for your wedding, look no further, Rev. Brad is the man for you! We thank you a million times and will never forget our wedding day.

Our officiant, Mike, was absolutely perfect and we could not be happier with our decision to work with the Love Story Weddings team. Their process for creating a personalized ceremony was exactly what we were looking for. Mike was very thorough in the planning process and always made us feel like he was invested in learning about myself, my husband, our entire love story.
He created a ceremony that was PERFECT for my husband and I and exactly what we wanted to celebrate our love and share it with our guests. We got so many compliments from our guests after the ceremony about the love story portion and how much they loved the personalization and getting to hear about how we met, fell in love, and got engaged.
Mike did such a great job and knew exactly how to balance the fun, sentimental, and humor in the ceremony. He was so professional and the way he led our ceremony, our friends and family thought that Mike had known us as a couple for years.

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Brit Gilman and he was absolutely incredible. Brit was organized, personable, made sure every detail was looked over and an absolute pleasure to work with. Brit made sure our ceremony was exactly how we wanted it and provided guidance in areas that we requested. We had a number of guests come up to us at the wedding and after the wedding saying the ceremony was the BEST ceremony they've ever attended, including their own kids weddings (HAHA). Love Story may seem pricey at first, but as someone who did thorough research you absolutely get what you pay for. If you are willing to spend 3k plus on your DJ or another vendor, be sure to budget the same for your ceremony officiant. This is your only wedding ceremony and it deserves the money and attention that Love Story Weddings gives to it. I am sad that the process is complete because Brit truly became Mark and I's friend by the end of it. We adore him and couldn't recommend him enough for your wedding.
Wow, where to begin. Only amazing things to say about Love Story Weddings. We first met with Reverend Brad via Zoom who walked us through what our potential personalized wedding ceremony would look like. He was incredibly kind, excited for us, and accommodating which is what sold us right away to this company. Pastor Jeff Thompson was our officiant and he was extremely communicative, kind, and helpful. He answered all of our questions, walked us through everything with lots of detail, and wrote an absolutely amazing wedding ceremony script. It was so beautiful and all of our guests commented on how they loved how personal it was to me and my husband’s love story. Pastor Jeff was the perfect mix of delivering God’s message of marriage, adding in some funny stories, and sharing our love story in a beautiful way. This was the one part of my wedding that was 100% worth the price and I would hire them all over again. I couldn’t be happier!! Thank you so much to Jeff and Brad for the best day!

He made us feel so comfortable from the beginning with learning our love story and truly allowing us to share all of those details with him. Even our wedding guests were raving about Brad after our ceremony! We were really able to enjoy the ceremony, as he made it how we asked him to: funny, our love story, getting the guests involved, and just so beautiful. We would recommend Brad to everyone looking for an officiant! He will truly capture your vision and make it exactly how you want it!
Rev. Brad Hughes is an excellent wedding officiant. He is outgoing and personable. We felt like he really knew our story and made our ceremony feel personal. We received many compliments from our guests, and there was not a dry eye in the house. We booked his services along with 3 sessions of marriage counseling, which we felt were worth the slightly higher cost. He did give us a slight discount compared to a competitor and offered discounts for a videographer (which we did not use) and hotel accommodations (for future use). The only negative to mention is he was a little off with time management. We had to re-schedule some of our virtual meetings, and he was late getting us drafts of scripts and responding to emails. We chalk it up to it being peak wedding season (June 2023). Other than that, I highly recommend Rev. Brad Hughes
Brad is amazing!!! He was the first officiant we met with, and honestly no one could compare. Brad was out of budget for us but at the end of the day we made it work, in part due to his flexibility in payments. Not only did Brad put together a wonderful script, he put the time aside to meet with us and run the script by us. From the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony he kept us on track. He made our ceremony so unique and engaging. HIGHLY recommend Brad and his team!!
Rev. Brad was the officiant for our wedding, and we could not have asked for a better officiant! We developed a very special connection Rev. Brad through his process, and it showed as we felt it during the ceremony, and received a lot of great feedback from guests about how great and special the ceremony felt.
Rev. Brad was great! Allowed us to share our story, and he put it together in a concise but thorough program that our wedding attendees loved. Our ceremony was thoughtful, special, and ORGANIZED! He provides a step by step play book of how each part of the ceremony will unfold which makes the process smooth, simple, and worry-free.
We were in a pickle… my fiancé was looking at more of a traditional wedding and I wasn’t. I wanted to elope, to me there is nothing more intimate than just the two of us. I was able to convince my future husband to elope. Within 3 hours our wedding efficient canceled due to sickness, we were frantically searching and and Rev. Brad Hughes was so kind to squeeze us in on NYE. He was extremely personable and really calmed my anxiousness. Thank you Rev. Brad for accommodating us and marrying us on NYE!! We’re very fortunate that we lucked out and had you marry us. Even though we were stressed with finding another person to marry us… I always feel like everything happened for a reason!
Love Story weddings was perfect for us. We did an out of state wedding to be near my husbands family and planned it in 3 months. The process was easy and felt right as soon as we met with Brad. He was already booked for our date but he recommended Reverend RT. Our wedding ceremony turned out perfect, it was the perfect length, personalized and tailored just how we wanted. I highly recommend!
Brad did an outstanding job at our wedding ceremony. He incorporated personal elements (which we approved ) and also provided professionalism and structure that is much needed during a ceremony. Several audience members asked if he was previously a comedian and mentioned it was one of the best ceremonies they have been to.
We also did martial counseling with brad. We found the initial assessment extremely helpful. We found the actual counseling somewhat beneficial and decided to only utilize 2/3 of the sessions we booked.
In conclusion, I HIGHLY recommend brad for your ceremony and consider counseling for the test results alone.
Unfortunately, Reverend Brad was not available for our date. Reverend Brit, a colleague at Love Story Weddings that Reverend Brad has known for many many years came highly recommended. First off, Brit is an actual pastor at a church and not just an online ordained wedding officiant. Although we are non-religious, this was not a problem. He was accommodating and willing to tailor the ceremony to what we wanted. He was easy to work with, and we had several meetings to go over ceremony ideas. A lot of the ceremony is based on results from a bride and groom questionnaire and then follow-up discussions with Brit. He collaborated with us to make the ceremony very meaningful, personal, and a little lighthearted. He communicated with us frequently to make sure that the outline was correct and that he had name pronunciations down, so we appreciated that attention to detail. He arrived an hour early to the ceremony and checked in with both of us to make sure all was well. His calming presence was welcomed. He communicated with the venue coordinator and DJ on the music and locations. Everything went off without a hitch. After it was over, many people commented on how much they enjoyed the ceremony!
There are not enough good things I can say about Reverend Brad. From the first meeting my husband and I felt like we had know him forever. The process of planning our wedding ceremony with Reverend Brad was seamless, and went so smoothly the day of. We STILL get compliments on how good the ceremony was, and they ask us if Brad was a close friend of ours because he just made the ceremony that intimate. We highly highly recommend him. He made out ceremony just perfect ❤️

We were looking for an officiant who would be a balance of serious and light/funny. Jeff from Love Story did an amazing job! He was so professional and responsive leading up to the wedding. He led the rehearsal efficiently and was so helpful. During the ceremony, he had our guests in his hand. So many guests thought we had known him for years! Would 100% recommend Jeff.
Our family and friends could not stop complimenting the ceremony: from introducing our Bridal party and all the personalized details, it was perfect. Brad is truly amazing and we loved having him as our officiant for our wedding on 11/5/22! Not only did Brad hold several zoom calls with us to go over all aspects of our love story and our visions for the big day, but he also provided us with a Google doc full of questions regarding everything you could possibly think of to get all the small and important details of our love story. Brad answered emails and texts and never left us in the dark if things had to change. Our rehearsal was information packed and really prepared us for the big day! The ceremony was flawless and we received so many compliments from all our family and friends on how amazing Brad was! He told our story perfectly, engaged with the crowd, got some laughs out of everyone and even brought some to tears. Wedding days can be such a blur, but thanks to Brad, we will never forget our ceremony and owe it all to him.

brad was absolutely outstanding! he has such a unique way of doing ceremonies and that’s exactly what we wanted. we had originally booked Brad before COVID hit, and he was with us through several wedding postponements and changes. he cheered us on from the beginning with all the patience we could have asked for!

Rev. Brad Hughes was incredible. I was pretty picky with who I wanted to officiate our wedding because I wanted someone to tell our love story. He makes your wedding SO personable and fits it perfectly to your relationship. He was ALWAYS smiling and helped us with so much. He was very flexible when it came to Zoom calls and was always willing to work around our schedule. All of my guests LOVED the way he officiated our wedding. We could not say enough good things about Rev Brad from Love Story Weddings! Our wedding ceremony was one of our favorite parts of the day (very different from the many weddings we’ve gone to where it feels like the ceremony is just a necessity and afterthought). We had Bryan Bradshaw officiate our wedding ceremony and he did a great job!! We first spoke with Brad who filled us in on everything Love Story does during a ceremony and my husband and I knew it would be a good fit for us.
Bryan would keep us in the loop with everything and our pre-meetings made us feel like he wanted to get to know "our story" and he did exactly that! After filling out all of our information we had more meetings with Bryan so that he knew exactly what we did and didn't want included in our ceremony. I loved that we were able to look at his script word for word beforehand and that everything included in it was something we picked out or had a word in deciding. I would definitely recommend going with this company for an officiant. It is more pricey than we would've liked to spend but was worth it!
We had our wedding at Makray Memorial Golf Club and reverend Brad did a fantastic job. We had a 90 minute consultation with him and by the end of it, we felt like we had known Brad for years. We also chose to do premarital counseling with Brad and he gave us valuable insights based on his own experiences with his wonderful wife Terri. Brad is an incredibly personable, genuine, funny person.

My now husband and I took pre marital counseling zoom sessions before our wedding with Rev Brad and it was everything we needed to prepare for our big day. He was able to offer guidance and resources that would help us communicate better, he was always available when needed via text or email and was flexible with our night shift schedule.

Rev Brad was phenomenal to work with. Our original wedding plans were compromised due to Covid, and we ended up having a micro wedding, as well as a vow renewal on our 1 year anniversary, both of which Rev Brad was so kind to officiate. Both ceremonies were incredibly special and unique. We didn’t want a run-of-the-mill ceremony, and Brad exceeded our expectations!
