Mackenzie LaRoe is a hybrid wedding and portrait photographer based in Nashville, TN. With years of experience behind—and in front of— the camera, she will work to ensure that you have an unforgettable photo session. From your engagement to your reception, she will be ready to turn your romantic moments into a visual work of art. Mackenzie LaRoe has done freelance photography for a variety of clients, from GoDaddy to The Frist Art Museum. She specializes in natural and photojournalistic capturing styles, letting your connection as a couple take the spotlight in each image. In addition, Mackenzie has been a signed model for over 16 years and will use her experience to ensure you feel as confident as possible in front of the lens. You will have multiple wedding packages to choose from to best suit your needs, wants, and event size. Second photographers and additional hours are available to ensure no special moment is overlooked. While based in Nashville, Mackenzie is happy to travel, offering destination weddings and elopement options.

amily members in the most flattering ways. Her experience in modeling gives her insight and empathy with her subjects. When planning my fall wedding in Nashville, I knew I needed to have Mackenzie to capture the day. She initiated regular communication and follow-up along with planning meetings 3 months out and 2 weeks out of the wedding. Instead of wedding favors, we increased our photo package so all of our guests could get family portraits. Mackenzie recruited another photographer to help her, at no additional charge to us. Our guests all had rave reviews over Mackenzie's direction, professionalism, and tips and tricks for getting the best photos. Above all, she is patient, gracious, and kind. I leaned heavily on her to be a stabilizing force during such a stressful time. I knew the photos would be perfect and the end result exceeded our expectations!

makes her a pleasure to work with. Besides the traditional photos, she took dozens of candid shots of guests enjoying the celebration. She captured the joy and spirit of the day in these spontaneous moments. We highly recommend her and will engage her again for future family sessions.

redirecting an awkward posture you may be subconsciously making— she has your back!! Mackenzie wasn’t able to shoot my wedding but I hope to have her shoot any and every occasion with my husband, dog and (hopefully) future kids. Mackenzie’s recent wedding shoots have me speechless. Grabbing a mixture of candid and posed shots is hard to do, but she makes it look easy. Truly can’t recommend Mackenzie enough!

I grew up in a small town in Florida and moved to Nashville on a whim in 2011. I signed with a local modeling agency and began doing freelance photography for Yelp. Shortly after, I met my husband backstage at a music festival; I was taking photos, and he played the keys for the headliner. It was love at first sight! I was featured on TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress," and we tied the knot a year later. We have three kids, four rescued cats, and a fabulous urban organic garden. While I'm not creating, you can find me playing chess, exploring at the park with my family, cooking, or doing yoga!
