It was rustic intimate and beautiful. Debbie who helps run the location is extremely helpful. I would recommend the venue.


Magnolia Hall was great

We had our wedding ceremony and reception for about 120 people there at the end of August. It worked out really really well and we had a great time. There are two floors in the building, so we did the ceremony upstairs, then moved outside/downstairs for a cocktail hour, then dinner and toasts downstairs while the staff set up the upstairs for cake and dancing. It was the perfect size for the number of people we had, and moving to the different floors for different parts of the event worked out well. (And each floor is accessible by wheelchair, which was important for a couple of our guests.) We used their catering services, which were also great. Many of our guests told us how much they liked the food. We were able to do a food tasting prior to the event, when we were trying to determine our menu, which was really nice. We also did family-style food service, instead of a buffet, which I really recommend. There is no hard alcohol allowed at this venue, but that wasn't a problem for us. You provide your own alcohol, so we bought a keg and several cases of wine, plus one case of champagne. You have to get a banquet permit, too, which is easy and costs $10. We worked a lot with Jenny (who is the point person there) and she was really great and has a lot of experience. She gave us a lot of advice about the flow of the evening, how to best set up the space, timing, etc. The only downside for us about the whole experience was that the venue is located in Arlington, WA. We live in Seattle, so it takes about an hour to drive there with good/decent traffic. However, there is frequently bad traffic through Everett, so you have to budget for longer. However, having the wedding outside of the city made it affordable for us. This is a very reasonably priced venue and is really a beautiful space. I would definitely recommend it.
