This is an update from my review back on 9/24/2023: James was good to work with on the day of our wedding. We had no issues working with him leading up to the day either, and picked him primarily because his contract provided us with the raw video footage he took. I provided him a laminated sheet of desired shots. When asked, we provided him with a desired music file for our highlight reel. 3 months after our September wedding James explained an extenuating circumstance had occurred in the fall causing the timeline to be later than expected. We appreciated the communication, and felt it was within reason to request an estimated timeline for our footage. We prompted him a total of 6 times in ~5 months asking for an estimated timeframe and he either did not respond, or gave no direct answer usually answering with “hoping to finish today”, “coming right up” or “soon”. The contract we signed with him did not indicate an estimated timeline (error on our part for not asking or having it added to the verbiage)…. The lack of direct communication and ignoring of emails was unprofessional. When we finally received the edited videos and raw footage, the highlight reel had been edited with many out of focus shots. It was also not set to the music we requested despite him having the desired music file on the thumb drive of raw footage he sent us in the mail. We are thankful to have the raw footage, as we can re-edit videos as needed and have the memories, but were unimpressed with the services provided post-wedding day.
