Martha Clement, Wedding Officiant

Martha officiated my sister’s wedding in 2016 as well as my mother’s wedding in 2017.…so when my time came, I knew I only had one choice. We received so many compliments on our ceremony. Everyone said it felt very “comfortable”, “relaxed”, and “genuine” – Martha made us feel so calm up in front of everyone. She was very easy to communicate with in the lead up to the wedding, and really listened to what we shared with her in our planning meetings. What she said in our ceremony felt very personal and true to our personalities/relationship. We wanted it to be quick, simple, and focused on friendship and that’s exactly what Martha delivered. Also, she was able to easily improvise and make jokes when we had issues with the microphone (not her fault!) We can’t thank her enough for being a part of our day!

Martha was absolutely amazing and extremely helpful in planning our ceremony. From the first meeting, Martha was extremely patient with us and shared lots of information we didn't know we needed! She was extremely thorough in communicating with us and sharing ideas for every aspect of the ceremony. Martha listened to what we wanted and then made that happen. She shared personal details during the ceremony and brought appropriate humor, which fit seamlessly. We are so glad we connected with Martha and would absolutely recommend her to anyone couple looking!

Martha did a phenomenal job at our wedding in Plymouth, NH this past Friday. She met with us in person prior to the wedding to get a sense of my husband and I’s personalities and helped guide us through what to expect on the big day. She listened to our requests and also had her own personal touches which made the day so special. Can’t recommend her enough!

Having Martha as our JP was one of the best decisions we made with our wedding. She truly was amazing and held our ceremony with so much care and love. Martha has such a sweet and genuine way about her. You can tell she simply just loves love. It can be scary when trying to find a JP because the ceremony is the most important part of the day… but having Martha as ours was so comforting and she truly helped make our wedding dreams come true!

Martha was quite possibly the BEST and most genuine person I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. She went above and beyond to not only help us find a venue and set up our wedding date but also did a fantastic job as our officiant. She is well spoken, eloquent, extremely professional, and personable. Her words brought tears to all our eyes in the best way possible. If I could give any advice to prospective brides, it’s to hire Martha as an officiant.

What an amazing officiant and lady! Martha made our ceremony incredibly special and personal. She asked all the right questions prior to our big day to get to know us and executed her ceremonial readings beautifully. Martha was a fantastic officiant for our minimony -- when COVID changed our plans and we had to change the state of our venue from MA to NH, we had to do some last minute research for new officiants, and we are SO glad we picked Martha!! Every interaction with her was filled with kindness, joy, and inclusivity (two brides). We drove up to the whites for a site-visit and Martha was able to accommodate meeting us at a coffee shop in person. Little did we know that that conversation would make us feel like we had been old friends, and how many aspects she would weave into the ceremony. Every (!) guest commented at the wedding how wonderful she was and how amazing the ceremony was -- that it really was unique and special. Martha took into account our (lots of) opinions/preferences, and created a magical day for us. Thank you Martha!

Martha was a wonderful officiant and truly a pleasure to worth with! From our first phone call, we could tell Martha was sweet, easy-going, and thoughtful - and it's clear she truly loves her job. We met in person with Martha ahead of the wedding so she could learn more about us as a couple, which was valuable in creating a personalized ceremony. She provided many helpful resources for planning the ceremony and was helpful along the way in talking through options and planning our ceremony. She was the perfect fit for our 5/22/21 wedding and delivered a personalized and simple wedding ceremony. Martha was also flexible and easy to work with and when we had to change our venue to a backyard wedding due to COVID, and happily accommodated the new location. Guests complimented the ceremony how personal and beautiful it was, and we have Martha to thank for her guidance during planning and her delivery and creation of the ceremony on that day. Most of all, Martha feels like an old friend who is happy and supportive along the way. Highly recommend Martha for your wedding!

Martha was a fantastic officiant. She promptly scheduled a call with my fiancé and I to learn about us and talk us through what to expect. She was able to get to know us quickly and made our ceremony so personal. She was kind, prompt, and professional. You could tell she genuinely loves what she does and is great at it. Martha is great! She was in constant communication during the planning phase. Very helpful offering ideas and suggestions. She incorporated my ideas into the ceremony perfectly! She was very flexible when the weather changed our original location plan. I highly recommend her :)

Martha was amazing to work with. Not only did she officiate our actual wedding in June but she did another ceremony for us in October so that we could share it with our friends and family after COVID had ruined our original plans. Perfection! I’m embarrassed to even admit this but when we first started planning our wedding the officiant was not on the top of my “important” list and I just picked someone the venue had listed. Enter Martha! How lucky we were to have picked her and that she was available. When we first met her to talk about the ceremony we walked away with butterflies in our stomachs. She was so sweet and gentle and asked meaningful questions and really listened to our story. I cry thinking about how special she really made our ceremony and how important having a good officiant really is. She included so many important details of our journey in the ceremony even including our 2 dogs and our special nicknames our nephew calls us. She made sure all our 4 boys were included and just really captured the love and passion we have shared for 20 years so beautifully in a short time! I tear up thinking of how perfect it was and it would not have been that way without her. It was like she had known us the entire 20 year relationship. If you’re looking for a beautiful officiant who can capture your love and portray that to your guests in the short time a ceremony is then Martha is your person. We could not have dreamed of anything better. There wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd!

Martha performed such a lovely ceremony for us, with touching and personalized words. She was wonderful to work with, from our friendly first meeting to figuring out the final details. It was very helpful that she provided sample ceremony components, readings, and vows for us to create the ceremony we wanted with minimal stress. Before we picked a JP, I was kind of worried what it would be like for a relative stranger to officiate our wedding (we had an intimate ceremony with just our parents and siblings), but as soon as we met Martha, I knew we had made the right choice!

Martha met with us at our convenience to get to know us better, and from our conversation crafted the most beautiful wedding ceremony we could have hoped for. Martha was kind, punctual, and very encouraging to an anxious bride like myself, and we truly cannot say enough good things about her and would recommend her to anyone looking for a JP to officiate their wedding.

Martha was the perfect officiant for our wedding day. Prior to our wedding day, we met with Martha to talk about how we met, our hobbies, and Martha got to know us as a couple. She took our conversation and crafted the perfect wedding ceremony. She was professional and on time, kept both our rehearsal and ceremony running smoothly and answered all of our questions. You can really tell she loves weddings and loves meeting new people. I highly recommend Martha for your ceremony!

I was incredibly nervous to plan our wedding ceremony and to hire an officiant – I had no clue where to start and was intimidated by the entire process. Martha quieted those fears immediately at our first meeting and simplified everything I had complicated! We were provided easy “cut and paste” options to customize our ceremony as much or as little as we wanted, and Martha filled the gaps with kind words about us that she collected during our planning meetings. The end result was absolutely perfect.

At our rehearsal, everyone know the plan and order of things and on our special day everything went perfect! We have nothing but positive things to say about Martha. We found Martha on a wedding website, read reviews, and decided to meet with her to see if it would be a good fit for us. We are not religious people, and honestly, going about picking a JP, we had no idea what to be asking, looking for, etc. When we first met with Martha a year and a half before our wedding, it felt as if we were meeting with a family member. Martha is easy to talk to, warm, and inviting. She didn’t push anything on us, or tell us to do anything a certain way, but really listened to us, what we were looking for in our laid-back type ceremony, and made recommendations based on us. She really showed us that she was the right fit for what we were going for. We met with her again, and communicated through email leading up to our big day. Martha was always extremely prompt in replying to emails, within minutes sometimes! She added nice touches throughout the ceremony, and really knew how to make it special. Our guests were coming up to us the entire reception saying how perfect the ceremony was, and that it was the best wedding ceremony they had ever witnessed. Martha honestly made us feel so special, and we are so glad that we had her at our special day.

Martha was fantastic to work with. Very attentive to our needs and there whenever we needed her. She listened to what we wanted and was able to build off of what our vision was. She is very sweet and was thoughtful with what she said during the ceremony. During our time with Martha prior to the ceremony, she asked us about our style; which for us is a mix of sweet and funny. She took that along with the numerous stories we shared with her (we talk a lot) and was able to craft a few things to say during the ceremony that captured us perfectly. We specifically left those pieces for her to create and surprise us on the day of the event with. She would definitely have stuck to a script if we asked her to, but personally, I am glad that we didn’t. The personalization she added was way beyond what we could have written ourselves and made it even more special for us and those attending. Highly recommend Martha!!!

My wife and I were very happy with Martha’s officiating. She naturally incorporated a number of little details regarding our courtship and family mentioned to her in passing, and we thoroughly enjoyed her humor and eloquent style. 10/10 would hire her again if need be, but let’s hope we will never need to lol.

Martha was wonderful! She was very accepting of our unique, custom ceremony and really helped us pull everything together so that it ran flawlessly. She has a great sense of humor, which comes in handy with our crew, and really made the entire experience easy for us. Martha was such a wonderful fit for my husband and it and did a beautiful job with our ceremony! She made it such an easy process for us as we really had not a very clear idea of what we had in mind. She took the time to meet with and get to know us which, really made our ceremony that much more personal and special. She even gave us some examples of vows and other things to kind of give us a jumping off point since we were planning to write our own vows. Martha was a real pleasure to work with. When I started the process I had very little idea of what I wanted to ceremony to be and she was a major help in figuring it out. She is very knowledgeable and was able to help create a beautiful ceremony that was personal to us. Martha is a pleasure and a delight!! We didn't know what we wanted for vows and left it up to her. She wrote up something after meeting with us and sent it via email. To say Martha is amazing would be an understatement. We planned a wedding from afar and gave her very little to work with, very late in the game. She not only got to know us and personalized the ceremony within a very short period of time, she also was able to read into our ideas and pull out what we needed to compliment what we had come up with on our own. Full of great ideas, funny jokes and a knack for details that really make the ceremony feel complete. I'd recommend her a hundred times!

Martha was the perfect choice to be our officiant for our wedding. My husband and I both have very good instincts about people, and we knew from the first two minutes of our initial phone call that Martha was who we wanted to marry us. She gave us so much information to help us find our way as we navigated the logistics of our ceremony, and she was wonderful to bounce even the smallest ideas and questions off of. It never felt like she was bothered, and she was always eager to help. All of that came through on our wedding day...she made our small ceremony feel so 'us', and so perfect, and we are so grateful we found her.

Martha was truly a pleasure to work with. She was easy going and thoughtful, responsive and professional. She wrote a beautiful ceremony for our wedding, adding special personalized tid-bits that were unique to us. She made sure that we were comfortable with the wording, allowing us to edit it if we wanted to. Her calm demeanor on our wedding day helped ease any nerves. She went as far as asking permission to wear sunglasses during our outside sunny ceremony, and even pushed a wheelchair-bound family member down the aisle at the end of the ceremony. Martha officiated our wedding just last week on Lake Winnipesaukee. She was fantastic to work with, very professional, timely, knowledgeable, and attended the rehearsal dinner to help guide us through the next day's activities. She came prepared with a wealth of ceremony outlines, vow examples, and she really let us tailor our ceremony exactly the way we wanted. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reasonably priced officiant, whom we are now proud to call a friend.

My husband (then Fiance) had a minor freakout a month before our wedding when our original plan for our Justice of the Peace fell through... thankfully after ALOT of research I came upon Martha Clement. And what an absolute miracle. After her quick reply to my email, we met at a coffee shop, and were so impressed by her overall personality, sense of humor and flexibility around how we wanted our ceremony that we booked her immediately! I wanted to do some type of Disney quotes and hand fasting- and within a week Martha sent me a draft of what the ceremony could be, which included different options for the ceremony and some amazing Disney quotes! Throughout the next couple of weeks Martha answered all (and there were many) of my emails, and we must have changed the script atleast 5 times, to which Martha was always so patient with me. Fast forward to our wedding day. Martha came dressed to impressed, and immediately calmed me with encouragement before the ceremony. I decided at the very last minute that I wanted to have my aunt do the hand fasting instead of her, and again Martha was super okay with making whatever I wanted to happen. Martha during the ceremony was amazing. I cant even tell you how many people complimented me on our amazing Justice of the Peace. She is a great public speaker- she is confident, articulate, funny and brilliant. She knew exactly when to pause, smile, make us look at our family and even made us laugh several times. Everything was absolutely perfect, and Martha was a HUGE reason why. We are so grateful for Martha! We would highly recommend her to anyone!

Martha was so awesome! She worked with us to make our ceremony our own, and was so friendly and personable. She has a great website, and it very easy to get a hold of in the planning process. I would definitely recommend her!
