Melissa was spunky, energetic, confident and so knowledgeable about our venue. My husband and I both felt so comfortable with Melissa all day and our families absolutely adored her. Following our wedding we got a handful of sneak peek photos that we’ve been sharing with friends and family and we’ve got nothing but outstanding compliments on our photography. When I first got to actually talk to her, I just fell in love and knew she had to be our photographer. She is SO sweet, personable and really took time and effort to get to know my husband and me from the beginning. Her passion for photography and weddings is something that is SO important to note, because she takes each shot seriously and to heart. You can tell it is not just a job to her and a check to cash; she really truly cares about you and making sure your dreams about your wedding come true! And, Melissa really knows what she is doing. She worked her butt off to make sure she got all the pictures we wanted and was super fun, easy going and just a true pleasure to be around. I got so many comments from friends and family about how awesome she was and how impressed they were with her. She was also flexible with us. Since we are out of state and had already had some engagement pictures done, she worked with us to come to our rehearsal the day before and got to meet our families beforehand and capture the evening in place of an engagement shoot. Then, she also immediately sent some sneak peek pictures which I was super impressed by. I know several friends and family who have had to wait weeks and weeks to get a single picture. Melissa has my absolute highest recommendation, and I already miss her! :) THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!

nt. She was legitimately curious to understand our relationship in order to make the best out of our pictures. She is so creative and her ideas helped us during our engagement photo session. She even took pictures of us with our furbabies during that session. Our ceremony was at a Catholic Church and she was respectful of the space and bent over backwards to get the best shots. She is an amazing person & photographer! Can't imagine getting a better package than her! :)

but when I saw some photographers charging $4k+ for a day of photography, I realized I was in over my head! Luckily, I found Melissa! Looking at her portfolio, I knew I found exactly who I was looking for… someone who would deliver beautiful, natural looking wedding photos within my moderate budget. However, Melissa ended up being so much more than that! Her fun energy was indispensable during the wedding and helped cut through pre-wedding stress and nerves. Everyone in my bridal party couldn’t stop talking about how fun Melissa was to have around! She was a machine, taking dreamy detail shots I never could have imagined (and one that I STILL can’t understand the physics behind!). We took our engagement photos on a HOT and humid day in August (a monsoon started on our way home!) and I was convinced that we were just going to look like sweaty monsters when we got the photos back, but somehow she worked her magic and we actually looked really good! She visited multiple spots and helped two camera-shy nerds have a fun and beautiful photo shoot. Our wedding day photography was even more gorgeous, despite dealing with blaring light during our brunch wedding. Family and bridal party shots were completed quickly and she had some really fun ideas that didn’t feel overdone the way wedding photography often does. I am not a fan of cheesy photography, and you definitely won’t get cheese with Melissa. I’m pretty sure Melissa has some superhuman powers because I’m still not sure how she got all of those shots by herself! Hire Melissa. You won’t be disappointed :)

Melissa captured every single detail and what seems like each sweet moment of the night. She even ended up staying later to keep capturing more! Rock star! I can't wait to work with her again!

my wedding day that made things feel happy & easy. The photos Melissa delivered were perfect. I'm a photographer myself, so it was kind of scary to give that task to someone I knew had to blow my own work out of the water. And she did exactly that. She had everything nailed down. Another thing I was concerned about was whether or not it would be distracting to have her, as well as a 2nd photographer (during ceremony) going around to get different angles. To be honest, I didn't even notice their movement at any point. Very respectful, kind, energetic, talented, and so much more. She made my dream of having magical wedding photographs come true.
