Book Your Wedding with Mercantile Hall

About Us

A study in beautiful contrasts, Burlington, Wisconsin's Mercantile Hall is a sleek modern event space housed inside a historic mercantile building that dates back to the early 1900s. Once a place of business, the space is now an elegant, intimate place to tie the knot. Preserving original architectural details, such as the warm wooden floors and exposed brick walls that make this space feel so special, Mercantile Hall provides a blend of urban modernity and antique industry for an ideally romantic finished product.

Mercantile Hall is the vision of two women, friends who want nothing more than to bring your unique wedding vision to life. With its tall ceilings, open spaces and subtle original vintage detailing, the possibilities are nearly endless. You can host up to 280 guests at Mercantile Hall, though your total guest count varies depending on your chosen event layout.

Though it's primarily conceptualized as a reception venue, you could conceivably use the space for your full wedding event for a small group. Mercantile Hall is also within close proximity of several churches and other ceremony venues. It's also just a short walk away from Echo Lake and other of Burlington's waterways, so you and your new spouse can take stunning outdoor photos while guests enjoy a cocktail hour inside Mercantile Hall.

What You Should Know

Your facility rental fee covers a full day of use at Mercantile Hall, from 10 a.m. through midnight. Different pricing tiers are available based on the day of the week and time of year you choose for your event. When your guests arrive at Mercantile Hall, they are greeted by an open and airy reception area and a "wow feature wall" where you can display photos and other graphics associated with your wedding. There's also an open exhibition kitchen that caterers can use to prepare your meal.

There are no in-house catering services at Mercantile Hall; the venue's services focus on facilities and planning services only. The venue does provide a list of other local wedding businesses for you to choose from for your event. The venue has reclaimed wood tables in a variety of shapes and sizes and a collection of wooden folding chairs for events, and other event rentals are permitted for use in the space.

Mercantile Hall is under construction as of 2016, and it opens its doors for events in spring 2017. Its managers are happy to give tours of the space to those who are interested in booking it for a wedding at any point during or after construction.

In a nutshell, Mercantile Hall exceeded our vision for the space. Stephanie, the event planner, was amazing to work with! She was extremely responsive and supportive in the planning process. Her team blew us away on the wedding day- they were SO professional, kind, and thoughtful! They really kept everything together :) I don't know what we would have done without them. Here is a perfect example, we planned to have a popcorn bar and brought all the decorations in the night before. Believe it or not, I (bride) forgot to pick up the gourmet popcorn we ordered! When Stephanie realized that, her team went out (8 pm) and got popcorn for us!! They will go above and beyond for you! Finally, our guests had an amazing time! Everyone was extremely complimentary of the space & no one wanted to leave at the end of the night! Merc Hall, thank you SO MUCH for making our wedding such a spectacular day! I have no doubt that your venue will become a highly sought-after location.
