Metropolitan Players is a wedding and event band based in New York, NY, though they are willing to travel. After being unable to find the ideal band for their own wedding, Drew and Erin Coles created this band to be everything they wanted for themselves. They want every wedding to be just as amazing as their own, so they’ll do everything they can to create unforgettable memories for you and your guests. Metropolitan Players will guide you through the musical process for your wedding to ensure everything is exactly how you want it. They offer a roster of skilled and experienced musicians, an extensive song list, and a willingness to take requests. A choice of three band packages is available, allowing you to choose the services that best suit your needs and budget. Some of these services include a music coordinator, four hours of reception music, music for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and a customized wedding-day timeline. It was so easy to work with them and they made me feel comfortable the wedding would go off without a hitch... which it did! I say that if you're deciding between a band or DJ, go with the Metropolitan Players. You can choose as many songs as you would with a DJ so you won't be missing out on anything!

When I heard back from the Metropolitan Players, I was absolutely relieved! We booked them right on the spot and they didn't disappoint!

a musician and really wanted a band. I wasn't really sure exactly what I wanted and was really nervous about the flow of the evening. Of course I had nothing to worry about. Erin and the music director assured me things would be O.K. and gave me suggestions based on what I liked. It was PERFECT. My parents got to hear some of the music they liked, then they played dance music to get everyone up and dancing... and everyone was up and dancing the entire night!
They also played music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. I wanted to walk down the isle to "Marry Me" by Train, but I didn't want a vocalist. The Metropolitan Players had a great pianist and he played it on piano. It was perfect. Then he played the standard wedding march on the way out.
I wasn't around for the cocktail hour, but my guests loved it. We had a piano and guitar and they played lounge music, which was great for the vibe.
ANYWAY... they were amazing and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a band. Their sound is THE BEST and their energy is perfect... and they really do anything they can to make the couple happy. Totally worth it.
