Mikhail Romanov is an award-winning pianist, composer and arranger based in Brooklyn, New York who can provide the perfect soundtrack for your wedding ceremony or special event. Whether playing solo or accompanied by his violinist mother, Mikhail Romanov brings class and sophistication to any event.
Mikhail studied music at Moscow College of Jazz Art, Gnesin’s Russian Academy of Music, and Berklee College of Music. He played the British National Anthem for Princess Anne at her residence in NY and performed at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas before an audience of thousands.
Mikhail Romanov is available to perform at ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions. He'll provide his own sound system and microphones to enhance the performance, so no note will go unheard. To help you finetune your wedding day playlist, this professional is open to learning new songs.

Mikhail, along with his mother Galina and the vocalist Gian, formed a delightful trio that enchanted our guests during both the cocktail hour and reception. Initially, we had a different vocalist, but due to unforeseen conflicts, we needed a male vocalist instead. Mikhail went above and beyond, dedicating considerable effort to help us find the perfect replacement.
There were doubts among those around us about whether a live band could truly set the tone and create the right mood for our event. Many suggested adding a DJ instead, but we remained steadfast in our decision to stick with Mikhail—and we're so glad we did.
Mikhail is not only a professional and communicative musician but also incredibly talented. His performance, complemented by Galina and Gian, exceeded all expectations. Our guests unanimously agreed that the music was one of the highlights of the night, expressing their love for the live performance which provided a refreshing change from typical DJ setups.
Rest assured, with Mikhail, Galina, and Gian, your guests won't just dance—they'll be thoroughly entertained.
Mikhail was a true pleasure to work with. He was extremely professional and communicated very well with us prior to our wedding. He had so much music for us to choose from! Where do I even begin?! Mikhail was simply amazing. From our first phone call to every text message in between, he and his mother completely made us feel confident and at ease with our wedding song choices. Not to mention how amazing they were as a duo. So elegant, classy, and timeless. They were so attentive, punctual, detail oriented, and so kind. Mikhail answered every question I had and even suggested things when I wasn’t sure what to do. He was even kind enough to allow us to borrow his microphone for the speeches. We had the pleasure of having Mikhail and his mother play at our wedding, with Mikhail on the piano and his mother on the violin. They were absolutely lovely and brought such class to our special day. From the beginning, Mikhail was very patient and accommodating, making the planning process smooth and stress-free. Their performance was beautiful and truly elevated the atmosphere. I would highly recommend booking this duo; you won't regret it!
Mikhail and his mother played piano and violin at my son's wedding in February, 2022. There couldn't have been a better selection. The music prior to the ceremony was relaxing during a stressful time getting ready and putting everything in order. As there were only 12 people attending, it was like dining at a private supper club - the selection of music was so classy. You won't regret having Mikhail perform at your function!
I cannot say enough about this dynamic duo!! I hired Mikhail on Keyboard/Piano along with his beautiful talented mother, Galina on the violin for my daughters surprise Proposal at Bear Mountain State Park. What a beautiful touch to add to a very special moment in time. People just came out of the woodwork to see and hear this angelic sound and to their surprise, a Proposal. If my daughter gets married her and not a destination wedding, we will 1000% hire them for the ceremony and cocktail hour. I can honestly say they were music to my ears!!!

Mikhail Romanov was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! We were absolutely blown away by their talent and so many of our guests made a point to tell us how much they enjoyed the piano and violin ensemble. Mikhail is a true professional and made the planning process so seamless, he was a delight to work with. Mikhail sent us a whole list of songs (a really nice mix of rock, pop, alternative, classical, etc) and played each song beautifully. The violin-piano duo was the perfect choice for our small wedding. Mikhail (pianist) and Galina (violinist) were happy to accommodate our songs. Mikhail was just a delight to have at our wedding- we hosted 50 guests in a relaxed intimate setting at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich, CT. He provided our music for 5 hours from ceremony to cocktail hour through dinner reception. Such a great talent, extremely professional, reliable and just a very sweet man. We really enjoyed his musical skill and diversity- encores were requested and he was gracious. We didn’t want a dance floor, but did want to have a first dance. At our request, he quickly learned our song choice and was able to play the voice-over of its artist while accompanying on his piano. He was also able to provide a wireless mic, stand and speaker for our ceremony at last minute request. I would not hesitate to hire him again and enthusiastically give him a 5 star review! I would love the opportunity to hear him play again- his contact information was requested by some of our guests. Hire him!
Mikhail performed for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. From the first inquiry, he was incredibly prompt and professional in his communication. We sent him the song list just 2 weeks before the event, with at least 10 songs that weren’t in his repertoire, and he was able to learn and perform them to a level of natural perfection. We received so many compliments about him including “the best pianist I’ve ever heard live” and “I wish I could hear him every day”! The transitions between songs were seamless, even on the fly when the ceremony processional went quicker than expected. Mikhail’s talent and demeanor greatly elevated the experience for us and our guests!

Mikhail Romanov is a seasoned and versatile musician capable of playing jazz, classical and pop music on the highest level. He studied at Moscow College of Jazz Art, Gnesin's Russian Academy of Music and Berklee College of Music. Mikhail has toured widely in the United States, Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan as the leader of his own jazz ensembles. In 2009, he performed in America for the first time, before an audience of thousands, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas.
